    It was kind of good to see the bighter possibilities for dexter but it wouldn't be true to the show if the ending wasn't really dark.

    Watching Dexter after Breaking Bad really shows which show can really build up the tension in the final season.

    I actually didn't. Just based off the promos for the last 2 episodes it was pretty predictable what would happen here.

    Did you notice that Saxon quoted Dexter's very first monologue from Pilot episode? "Miami is a great town. I love the Cuban food" etc.

    Well, it was just an inside-joke and it would have been very funny if Dexter's reaction had been different. Michael Hall started to laugh like Dexter and Saxon's were friends. I even had the impression that he just broke the character, but I don't think it's possible...
