What a great start to the season. David and Emily really nailed the emotion all episode and my heart hurt when Booth thought just for a second she might actually be leaving him. Well done guys!!
I liked this episode Booth & Bones clearly love each other enough to get passed this and Freddie was great I hope to see him again. I get Angela's protectiveness of Brennan but she was a bit harsh and should've asked Booth why he's breaking Brennan's heart.
A fantastic start to Season 9. David and Emily did a brilliant job with their character's emotions and we all know that Brennan and Booth will get through this more stronger than ever. Looking forward to the rest of the season. I'm definitely excited :)
Great episode! So glad it came back with their A game on!! :) It was heartbreaking watching the suffering both Booth and Bones are going through....I can't wait for the Pelant s/l to close for good! Having continuing s/l (villains) is one thing, carrying them out for 2 seasons is just downright bad investigating! ;)
Great episode! What bothers me though is that nobody is putting the pieces together, they all seem to understand that Booth is hiding something but none of them has had the presence of mind to say " hey maybe pelant is blackmailing him", especially sweets, I expected him to have put the pieces together by now.
Great start to the season! A little aggravated that Angela and Daisy were so quick to try to break up Booth and Bones. Poor guy, no one seemed to have any faith in the dude or try to figure out why he would accept her proposal and then go back on it so quickly. At least Bones was able to be reminded by the ex-priest that he IS a really good man! Good for you Bones! Hated to see them hurting though in the episode...
Nice start & I'm definitely looking forward to next episode :D! Loved both Booth & Bones throughout - but that end scene was just amazing. Really loved the priest & loved how he bridged the gap between Bones & Booth.
I also really loved Cam in this episode. I think of all of Booth & Bones' friends she gave the best advice/support. Caroline & Sweets' reactions were pretty typical but they didn't really add much besides more stress to the situation unfortunately. Hodgins was really sweet with his staying out of it - because he didn't put more pressure on either one of them. Daisy was really irritating but I did like that she understood the science (didn't make up for the annoying-ness of her presence, however).
I was really irritated with Angela though. I know her character is established as overly emotional. And, I understand that the writers wanted to present her as Brennan's supportive BFF, but a real BFF would try & figure out a way to help Bones & Booth work through their problems, not help push them further apart. I know if my spouse & I were having marital problems & I went to my best friend for advice she would, of course, be on my side, but she certainly wouldn't help push apart the two of us by attacking & alienating my spouse & advising me he was solely in the wrong. Rather, my BFF would try to help us figure out why things aren't working & suggest ways to get us both to come back together. BFFs like mine are how you get relationships to work while BFFs that behave like Angela are part of the reason for the 50% divorce rate.
Very nice start. I liked seeing Booth's friends, both of them, even though I was disappointed with how little Freddie Prinze Jr. had to do. I think they handled the whole wedding situation nicely and I liked the idea that it caused fractures across the whole team, with Angela/Booth, even Cam.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I love Freddie. I hope the role does become recurring.
ReplyDeleteAnd aww protective!Angela is the best. I expected to hate the priest, but I didn't. I actually like him! Glad he restored Brennan's faith in Booth.
Ugh, Pelant needs to go. And what the hell is up with 4:47? That was creepy and random as hell.
Really loved this episode!

ReplyDeleteSomething tells me the CIA will be instrumental in catching Pelant.
ReplyDeletewe owe you one, you owe me to take out pelant for good
ReplyDeleteI think it's because it's a machine Pelant can use to listen to them
ReplyDeleteAngela needs to mind her own business
ReplyDeleteGreat premiere episode! I really enjoyed it! I hope Freddie's and the priest's roles become recurring as I really liked them.
