By far the most BORING premiere of a show I have EVER watched! Definitely going to be a save on the DVR & watch when nothing else is on show this year.
I think it will be a little bland until we see where exactly the season is going. It's kind of like starting from scratch.
I did enjoy the Richard Harlow story line and am anxious to learn more about what's going on there.
Agent Knox is kind of interesting too. He verbally seemed like such a wet rag, but he turned around and killed very direct and precisely and seems rather unfazed by it all. Reminds me of some weird combination of Richard Harrow and dearly departed Agent Sepso...
I also like Eli's son story line...but no mention of Michael McHugh yet (did they scrap the character, or what?)...all his friends seemed to be named something else, and for whatever reason "Henry" seems like he might be an important friend.
The Al Capone Story Line is also just ok. Would have liked to have seen Van Alden, he really got shafted last season. But it might be interesting to have his family contrasted with Nucky's.
The Onyx Club was also just ok, but I did enjoy Chalky playing boss!
No Margaret also was strange, but I'm not sure we'll be catching up with her for a few episodes.
The cinematography was very good through. I always enjoy the winter scenes/landscapes.
As usual with Boardwalk I spend most of the time trying to remember who is who and why they are pissed at Nucky! One day I will remember all the different gangs and bosses, one day. A bit of a slow premiere but usually Boardwalk heats up by mid season. Delighted to see Richard in his own storyline.
Nice to see the characters back on our screens. Al Capone should start coming into it more now, and I can't wait for it. This was a slow premiere, though. I'm gonna miss Gyp Rosetti this season, I just know it.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteSays the dumb bitch who likes Vampire Diaries and The Walking Dead.
ReplyDeleteThought it was good, but not great or awesome.
