Lol for me it's the exact opposite! I really love him but I can't stand him when he's with Emma except maybe for this scene :) And I adore Hook/YoungBae too
Really? I kind get the feeling that she and Neal are the long haul romance, because they created Henry. (and so it's like their building their relationship backwards in relation to how most couples would)
I liked Graham a lot as a character, but I kind of always hoped he would cross paths with Ruby. It's not that I didn't enjoy Emma and Graham story line, but I never saw them as long term potential, but just a character that could reflect Emma and prove to Emma the truth about Storybrooke....
Hook on the other hand comes off as so shallpw all the time, that originally the only one I liked with him was Aurora, but then at the end of the season, I thought he was really delightful with Regina (they have a lot in common).
Honestly, I kind of wonder if Hook will sacrifice himself for other people at some point.
good scene. not for the "shipper-ish" aspects, but I like this side of Hook as well as Emma doing pull ups reminds me of Linda Hamilton's character doing them in her cell in T2... lol
Not a Hook/Emma shipper, but I did like this scene, and see them more as friends. I think Emma still has very real feelings for Neal, but don't see either one of those happening until Henry is safe and reunited with Clan Charming.
You know, I think this is one of the few ships I've seen where there are just as many people who don't want them together as people who do want them together. Usually it's quite one sided.
Personally I'd be interested in seeing it happen. Mostly because Neal and Emma are just so....boring. There's not a single thing about Neal and Emma that makes me excited to see where they'll go next. It's a very predictable relationship.
But Emma and Hook get under each others skin, and not yet in that really fun way. Their relationship isn't at all predictable because the two of them can't ever seem to decide how they should interact with each other. Sometimes it's hostile, sometimes it's flirty, sometimes it's just friendly, sometimes it's a combination of those things.
I can certainly understand why people would hate the prospect of Hook and Emma for those very reasons, but right now their relationship is one of the few on TV that doesn't feel like it's written in stone. The concept of Emma and Neal has been done to death. That relationship is so predictable I just can't care about it.
I don't know what it is about them, but everything between those two characters always feels so terribly contrived to me. Although this was one of the better scenes.
Its amazing at how much can be gotten from those two interacting. Both of them had their hearts broken and both of them built up walls and have similar kinds of insecurities. Killian can relate to Emma and Emma to him.
And both of them can read each other like a book most of the times, thus forming this weird mix of respect and bonds, despite having spent most of the time on opposite sides.
Its also important to note that when around her or Bae, its the only times when "Captain Hook" ceases to exist and "Killian Jones" returns.
Hook and Emma are oppposites, yet they are the parallels too at the same time. They feel so different to each other because they are the same and they can relate.
Only Emma and Hook truly know what it means being Emma and Hook. And that leads to foeyay, quarrels, hijinks and confrontations that always can be interpreted in more than one way.
And THAT is brilliant. Especially in the show where everyone else seems to have just found their identical "true love" match by default. That's why rumbelle and captain swan stand out from the rest.
*I'm matured person and I'm not gonna trolling* *I'm matured person and I'm not gonna trolling* *I'm matured person and I'm not gonna trolling* MEEEEEEHHHHHHHH, Oh my goddess I did it again ....
Meh. I like Emma best when she's focused on Henry & being a mom. All the romance crap totally makes me lose interest in what's happening with her. I wish they would leave that to characters where the romance flows naturally in & out of their storyline - like Belle & Rumple or the tiny bits we got to see with Red & various characters.
It always feels over-acted and forced when I watch them. Like the romance is being shoved down my throat and OMG LOOK HOW MUCH THEY WANT EACH OTHER!!!! Except I believe it less and less with each subsequent scene.
I also feel like someone should make the people coming up with all the Hook-Swan stuff watch Rumple-Evil Queen scenes in order to understand REAL on-screen chemistry and how that doesn't have to equal romantic attraction between characters of opposite genders.
I partually agree with you, but I think that is why their (swan-fire) relationship is so important and is the long haul relationship... The reason it's boring is because we only have this "one" glimpse into their original relationship and it's ultimately tragic. Really we have seen very little of Emma's past period, but both of these characters are by products of Rumple's beliefs, as they both ended up being kinds of orphans in other lands... I think this season is basically going to play with that triangle (Bae, Emma, Killian) by finally exposing a lot of their past to us, but Henry has already proven what "True Love" creates (More true love), which is why I think they are the long haul pair...This season is really a test for all of them to try and make up for their short comings and that includes Neal too. I think by the end of the season it's going to be much harder to be on either side, which is why I think one of them might bite the dust (fate) or find another love interest before the season ends.
I like this scene too, but I have yet to feel much for that possible relationship. But I think it's actually Hook who "over does" it, because it's a theatrical part of his personality that makes him come off as a shallow womenizer/rock star type (player), but I think Emma has been pretty resistent of him and IMO this isn't the writers shoving the romance in our face, but more over telling us that these two characters don't have much in common (yet) and just introducing us to the surface-glitter of whom Hook is (or whom hook pretends to be) and that Emma has yet to be really interested, because he hasn't shown something genuine to her.
I have absolutely no idea why they are so sure he is dead. He was shot and sucked into a portal. That doesn't equal death at all so Emma being so totally convinced that he is not alive is stupid (and a dumb plot device), IMO.
This is so true. It's such an eyeroll worthy plot device. Fake out deaths are rarely shocking and done in a way that's convincing on network tv anymore, but the writing in this case is just way too plot convenient.
It comes from relationship. When you're a "shipper" of something it means that you are a strong believe in the relationship (usually romantic) between two people.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Emma/Hook shippers in 3.... 2.... 1.... :P
ReplyDeleteTo Neal!
ReplyDeleteHa! Fun tease -And one of the first scenes I liked between those two! :O
ReplyDeleteI was expecting worst (because of the CS hype) but this scene was alright and quite short considering the amounth of pictures we got about it ;)
ReplyDeleteNot a shipper but the only time a can stand hook is when hes interacting with emma. Oh and the scenes of hook and young belfire.
ReplyDeleteVIVA LA SWAN QUEEN! Just had to say that... =P
ReplyDeleteLol for me it's the exact opposite! I really love him but I can't stand him when he's with Emma except maybe for this scene :) And I adore Hook/YoungBae too
ReplyDeleteI do like them together,so much more than her with Neal..
ReplyDeleteYou know i'm not a shipper person,i hate the combo names, but if i was to ship a couple it would be for her & Graham!
Wow Hook and Emma an unease truce might become more?
ReplyDeleteI'll ship anything that gets Hook topless.
ReplyDeleteHook I love you right now. I really want him to be a big brother to Emma. Neal will always be the love of her life.
ReplyDeleteReally? I kind get the feeling that she and Neal are the long haul romance, because they created Henry. (and so it's like their building their relationship backwards in relation to how most couples would)

ReplyDeleteI just L-O-V-E your avatar.
ReplyDeleteHi ! I don't speak much English and I do not understand what Hook said about Rumplestiltskin. Can anyone tell me please ?
ReplyDeleteThank you for these words! That's exactly what I think.
ReplyDeleteA relationship between Hook and Emma could have so many layers.
ASAFADAFD. This made my heart explode.
ReplyDeleteIts amazing at how much can be gotten from those two interacting. Both of them had their hearts broken and both of them built up walls and have similar kinds of insecurities. Killian can relate to Emma and Emma to him.

ReplyDeleteHe's not dead! Don't give up!
ReplyDeleteEmma and Hook - two ppl who understand each other so well and so much more there
ReplyDelete... <3
She's become my arm idol. haha

Not yet, but I'm sure they will...
ReplyDeleteActually I think Emma doesn't understand him, but she's about to.
ReplyDeleteI know that they are on board a ship, but what does the so called expression "shippers" mean?! It's not correct English, is it?!
ReplyDeleteI have absolutely no idea why they are so sure he is dead. He was shot and sucked into a portal. That doesn't equal death at all so Emma being so totally convinced that he is not alive is stupid (and a dumb plot device), IMO.
