    Me too. Also Hook isn't the right guy for Emma.I don't care how good looking he is that doesn't erase all the awful things he has done.

    Media hype follows hitcounts. The more page views the better. Media hype around CS only means that there are enough people in the fandom who visit those pages.



    Fandom hype translates to media hype.

    "Cast" means Carlyle, O'Donoghue, Dallas or Goodwin.
    "Characters" means Rumplestiltskin, Hook, Charming or Snow.
    So do not use "awful things everyone in the cast has done" sentence, please.

    Same. I also find it so hard to understand because there is no story there. It's a super clichéd trope that so far lives of something like two scenes and the writers and actors trying to force something on us by repeating the same three sentences about their supposed "connection" and similar pasts, which is complete bogus too since being abandonned as a child is a recurring theme on this show and Emma shares this and a few other pieces of her backstory with a whole damn lot of characters and she has already connected with some of them, too. I fail to see why I'm supposed to root for a forced attempt to repeat something that's already there with Emma and other characters.

    I partially agree with you (but that's not always true....) I know a lot people ship CS but for exemple the SQ fandom is bigger and older but you don't see media hype about it (quite the contrary actually...) These two ship are similar if you think about it but because Hook is a f****** (hot and sexy I'm not blind :p) MAN he's automaticlly coupled with Emma by the media (before they even shared a scene)

    It's like he's hot, she's hot, let's change his personnality and feelings in the 20 minutes they spent together so they can be a "thing". I know you often compare them to Spuffy (my oldest OTP <3) and I can totally see why but for me Spike/Buffy was so much well written, their relationship was really well build, difficult,scary and sometimes wrong but overall beautiful and amazing. CS are NOT there yet for me...

    I know I'm not objective because I really love SQ so I may be a little hard on CS but I'm so tired about the sometimes "undeserved" media hype about them that it's hard to stay calm :)

    Luckily for me I don't watch Once just for the ships and I will enjoy the show even if CS happens.... I know they can do way better about Hook and Emma if they took enough time (and write better dialogues....) but for now I'm not impressed :)

    For some reason, they seem to like to tease Emma with the bad 'uns, Hook, Neal and Regina. Maybe they believe that opposites attract.


    I don't think any of the three are good for Emma, they are just too dissimilar. (I think opposites may attract but they don't make for long term relationships.) But of the three I think Hook has the most potential because he hasn't been proved to be unsalvageable. After how Neal treated Emma (putting her in jail for a crime he committed, not checking up on her to see that she was all right and moving on to get engaged to someone else), I don't want to see her with him again, although I'm pretty sure the show is going to go there when Neal gets back.


    As for Regina, no matter how many sparks their scenes produce, I can't get behind Emma going for someone who kills villages, lies to Henry and tries to convince him he's insane while professing to love him, and repeatedly tries to kill Emma's family. It's just too warped.

    I know that out of the 3 Hook is the one who's never really hurt Emma.

    For me Neal is the worst because he KNEW her and LOVED her when he hurt her and even when the curse broke he didn't search for Emma so I really don't see "true love" here.... He's not a bad person (like Hook or Regina can be) but for me he really don't deserve her.

    I know Regina did a lot of aweful things in FTL and a few in Storybrook but I still think she can redeem herself thru her love for Henry (and why not Emma ;) ).

    In Once, I think the lack of love is the same thing as the lack of soul in Buffy/Angel, without it you become a "monster" -> When Snow lost her love in S1 she acted a lot like Buffy in S4 when lost her soul because of her roomate, when Regina lost her love and hope she was like Angelus and when love came back into her life (Henry) she became a little like Angel, she struggles but she tries. I think that SQ (no matters the gender) has the potential to be a beautiful story about forgiveness, redemption, love and family and could be the best "resolution" to the Emma/Henry/Regina (and Regina/Charmings) feud.

    I really don't like CS but I don't hate it either. It's not because I don't want to see Emma or Regina with someone else since I love Hook/Regina and it's not because I don't like Hook. What I do totally loath is the pushing by the media, the Once's promotional team and sometimes the writers of a couple that has (as of now) only shared a few lame written scenes.... I do see a potential in them but it's not there yet (like the "amazing connection" they supposedly have)
