Geez, I'm already ready for Marshall to get back. I love Sherri Shepherd and what not, but Ted needs his best bro. And on another note, if Barney brings up anything about a "broken bro code" (which he clearly seems to be doing), then Ted better shove it right back in his face.
Yeah, but Barney isn't trying to ruin his best friend and ex-girlfriend/friend's wedding. Ted's crossing the fucking line and is being gross.
And hey, guess what? It was a mutual decision that Robin and Barney made to sleep together back in season three. She's her own person. And Barney felt guilty about breaking the bro code. Ted doesn't seem to give a crap what he's doing.

And guess what? It was a mutual decision on Barney and Robin's part. Robin can make her own decisions. And Barney felt guilty for breaking the bro code.
I wouldn't go so far as to say Ted is trying to ruin their wedding. He's always showed himself to be impulsive when it comes to doing things for others (e.g. Christmas light show, stealing the French horn, blue orchestra, 2-minute date, etc), and I really think that, first and foremost, finding this locket is just a super nice thing to do for Robin for her wedding day. Obviously there is a part of him that wishes it could win Robin back to him, but he doesn't really believe it will or that he'll be the "wild card" in the wedding by giving it to her. It's just a locket, after all. He's resigned himself to pretty much keep out of it, to the point of being willing to move to Chicago. (I certainly don't see how any of that qualifies as "gross.") I will admit that there is obviously a chance that more information will be revealed later that can place a little more blame on his shoulders, or that he won't get riled up into saying something he shouldn't, but I think he's pretty much innocent given the information we have to go on from those two episodes.
Never said it wasn't. Just pointing out that Barney shouldn't be hypocritical about it. If bringing out the Bro Code is solely based on Ted still having feelings for Robin, there's no point in that -- Ted can't help his feelings any more than Barney could.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
They missed the promo photos for 9x03.
ReplyDeletelooks like marshall still isn't back by episode 4. I hope they don't have him gone for half the season
ReplyDeleteBro Code travel addition lol!
