Ian Hart will play Dr. Franklin Hall who ends up becoming the supervillian Graviton from the comics. A baddie that has fought The Avengers and more.

Ooo yay a comic book character! Wonder how long they will wait until he turns into Graviton and the possible big bad
ReplyDeleteHe is recurring, so im hoping they really turn him into Graviton. I also hope the series could introduce The Hood, a new-ish villian in the comics that could fit TV.
ReplyDeleteI dont remember that character from other stuff than animated shows. Haven't read that much Avengers, i like more limited series and such when it comes to comics. But Graviton has the funniest/most overkill "was defeated"-part i have read.
"Graviton was defeated when he was smashed into the ground by Hulk, then after Wasp repeatedly zapped him, was blasted by Iron Man's chest-mounted Uni-beam at full power, after which he was hit by a cargo ship thrown by Ant-Man, before getting zapped with a massive beam of lighting by Thor and was finally knocked unconscious from a single energy blast by Wasp"
Yeah I don't know much about the character, hasn't been in any of The Avengers comics I've been catching up on.
ReplyDeleteThat is a hilarious way to be defeated, smashed into the ground by Hulk reminds me of what happened to Loki in the Avengers film.
I like the idea of Franklin Hall being maybe a good guy for a while on the show before having the accident that turns him bad.
Cool! Glad to see known comic book characters are coming into play early-on.
ReplyDeleteWell, they definitely couldn't use the name "The Hood", given that that's Green Arrow's moniker on TV right now. But maybe they could still use the character under a different name.
ReplyDeleteThat`s idiotic, i don't think you understand copyrights. DC Comics and Marvel Comics is two diffrent companies. If a character is named Jack on one show, dosen't mean you can't use Jack on another show.
ReplyDeleteRelax, dude. I didn't say their using the name would be illegal. It's just common sense - if you're trying to market a character as unique, you don't use a name that's heavily associated with a different character, even if you can't technically get sued for doing so. Plus, it's obvious that "The Hood" is a far more specific name than "Jack".
