I wouldn't really say they are shocking since most characters who have died on the show are certain to appear at some point later on. But Ellen & Jo was the most heartbreaking one for me.
Bobby and Ellen & Jo, what bothered me most about Bobby dying was the effect it had on the boys..I cried for them. I really did not want to lose Jo, I loved the character and the chemistry she had with Dean.
Bobbys death shocked me because he had been on the show for such a long time and he was one of my favourite secondary characters . Ellen and Joes death scene was really sad and it was a shame that they were killed off I liked them alot , theres not enough good female characters in supernatural IMO, and when they do get one they kill off.
My choices: Bobby is the most unexpected and shattering, but Ellen and Jo is the most heartbreaking. Third would be Gabriel for the most twisted 'trick' and if I had another option for the most courage and true family love is of course John. Pamela and Rufus is also disappointing...gosh I really got into this poll nice work! :)
Balthazar's death was totally unexpected for me, not to mention heartbreaking. It was so shocking I had to stop the episode for a moment to compose myself.
Bobby's obvoiusly I kept expecting him to come back even after his ghost moved on. But also grandpa wincester I thought he'd stay with them in the present.
well, Bobby would be the obvious one, but feels moot since they kept bringing him back (not that I mind too much though - love Bobby), so the next 2 would be Ellen and Jo, and then Big Daddy Winchester
Ash should be included with Ellen & Jo. Losing all of them really hurt-not quite as bad as Bobby, but almost. Should have been used to losing characters by Bobby-but his death had to have been the most shocking because he came back from stabbing himself to protect Dean.
They've all been heartbreaking.... but shocking, as in "I didn't expect it at that to happen" I think I'll have to with Rufus and Pamela
Rufus specifically was the most "WTF?! Did that just happen?! For real?!" moment for me... it was kinda out of the blue and my jaw hit the floor. And Pamela I really do think she was killed off for the shock factor of someone we know dying in an episode where "death" was supposedly absent for the most part, and it kinda worked in that capacity (though I still find killing her was one of the more unnecessary deaths in the show).
John, Bobby and Gabriel, were a little unexpected but considering what was happening around them at the moment they died not too shocking. Not on the list but I add them to this category: Ash and Andy.
Ellen and Jo were canonfodder.... the promo for the episode itself claimed so.... they were the least shocking, but most heartbreaking and THE most aggravating deaths on the show.... ever!
Most major deaths on Supernatural are heartbreaking and/or but not really shocking. I think the only time I was truly shocked was John's death. Gabriel's death was a little abrupt too. The most impacting death for me was Bobby, since he had been one of the few characters who were with us since season 1 and he was sometimes my favorite character. Ellen and Jo's was the most emotional, while Rufus and Pamela went far too quickly without any real payoff.
I have to vote for John Winchester and Bobby Singer. It's bad enough they kill Dad right away in a horrific truck crash, but then to come back six seasons later and take away Bobby, the only father they've ever really had? That wasn't just shocking, it was stupid and pointless! Jeremy Carver needs to be removed from SN, and pronto!
As the longest running villain on the show, I was most shocked and saddened to see Meg die. I expected her to make it to the end of the series; not necessarily the same actress, but the character- however many seasons it turns out to be.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteBobby and Ellen & Jo, what bothered me most about Bobby dying was the effect it had on the boys..I cried for them. I really did not want to lose Jo, I loved the character and the chemistry she had with Dean.
ReplyDeleteBobby beyond a doubt was the most shocking, but the one that still cuts like a knife is Ellen and Jo.

ReplyDeleteNaomi was a HUGE shock. Didn't expect that at all and so disappointed she got killed :(

Both unexpected and heartbreaking were the deaths of Ellen and Jo for me...

ReplyDeleteI wish they would bring back John Winchester.
ReplyDeleteHonestly nothing has shocked me on Supernatural, so far!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Bobby. I didn't think they'd go there.
ReplyDeleteAsh should be included with Ellen & Jo. Losing all of them really hurt-not quite as bad as Bobby, but almost. Should have been used to losing characters by Bobby-but his death had to have been the most shocking because he came back from stabbing himself to protect Dean.

ReplyDeleteJohn did not die in the crash, he gave his life to save Dean.

ReplyDeleteIn fact, no death made me shocked, however I didn't expect the death of John Winchester.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
ReplyDeleteI was not expecting John Winchester to die. I can say the other deaths were somewhat foreshadowed, esp. Bobby's.
Good choice! I did not expect Balthazar's death at all.
ReplyDeleteAsh he was a great smart character I would have liked to see him hunt with Sam and Dean.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya there.
ReplyDeleteVictor Henriksson. Never forgive, never forget.
