    sadly I had to stop picking because I was restricted... :-) Among the eps I picked were the pilot Welcome to the Hellmouth, was one of the better pilots I've seen. It seemed evident to me that it had been polished over the years. Also picked were Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered, Halloween and a couple of others but as usual I clicked vote before noting my selections and I can't remember them all now.

    I do love season 1, its really fun and you get to know the charcaters, but season 2 just had so many episodes! still, I chose one season 1 episode.

    Prophecy Girl: It was just the perfect cap for a very promising first season. Most memorable part is Buffy explaining her fears to Giles. That's the moment I knew this show wasn't just melodramatic, but honestly touching; and when Buffy became one of my favorite characters ever. Plus points for awesome white prom dress + leather jacket. Awesome!

    Halloween: The funniest of the fun episodes in season 2, I'm just a sucker of plots when the characters don't behave like themselves. Also the start of the Willow/Oz thing and specially her blossoming.

    Innocence. That was just an awesome tv hour. From the broken heart, the pain, the putting yourself together and firing a freaking rocket launcher. This is how you handle a break up! Buffy was just amazing this episode on almost all aspects (damn how she body slammed Calendar!) and I loved how all the gang helped (even Cordelia)

    Passion: This one goes without saying, definitely the turning point on the season. Angelus finally shows how evil he is, and the way everything was shot was just gorgeous and heartbreaking.

    Becoming, Part 2: Besides being the conclusion of the most tragic arc to date, it was just filled with awesome moments and characters interactions; and a heartbreaking ending. But the definite highlight for me is when Buffy catches the sword with her bare hands and her badass "ME". Awwww hell Angelus, ya dun effed up.

    Perfect timing as I'm having a rewatch.

    Wanted to include one S1 episode so went with Prophecy Girl.

    Whats My Line (Part 1 & 2) - Should be one episode IMO same with The Becoming! So I Voted for the second part for both eps plus Surprise and Innocence.

    tough as there are some really strong choices, particularly from S2, but I chose: Welcome to the Hellmouth - darn good pilot that set up the series well, Angel - finally revealed the simmering mystery behind this awesome character, Surprise/Innocence - Angel's curse is revealed, Passion - showed just how evil Angelus was, and Becoming pt 2 - Buffy/Angelus' faceoff with a hell of a heart breaking twist at the end

    Prophecy Girl, Innocence and both parts of Becoming were such obvious choices that I didn't need to think about them for a second. Some of the finest hours in the history of television, which perfectly articulate why the early seasons of Buffy are so special.

    It's really hard to pick a fifth. I think Angel, When She Was Bad and the tragic Lie To Me are the frontrunners. School Hard and Passion were good too. Oh whatever, I'm stopping at four.

    Becoming Part 2 is still the episode that I compare all other episodes against. Very few shows have come anywhere close to the tension and sheer emotion I felt when I first watched it.

    Same here. It's in my top three for Buffy episodes (probably my overall favorite). I'm not a big crier but this is one of the few episodes of any TV show or even movies that have caused me to tear up.
