How does it make any sense that Mackenzie Lintz (Norrie) is a recurring when she's prominently featured in every single episode while Aisha Hinds (Carolyn Hill) is a regular and her appearances and screen time are spotty at best?
ReplyDeleteI have been saying this for weeks.
ReplyDeleteOoh this sounds exciting.
ReplyDeleteIt took me a moment to even remember who Carolyn is lol
ReplyDeleteAnd it seems like Carolyn has had more screen time than Dodee who is also a regular. I really wish they would give Dodee an actual story line. We know she's smart so it would be cool if she helped figure out the dome's mysteries more often.
ReplyDeleteHere's an idea. Let's cut back on Junior, Angie, and Julia time and give these other "so-called" regulars like Phil, Dodee, and Carolyn more screen time. And who is Ben?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Evil Jim is going to try to pin the drugs on Barbie too. Of course, then he would either have to kill Linda or have something to hold over her head. Hmm.....
I like Dodee as well but I don't think she'll be very helpful in the mystery-solving department until she can get past her paranoia and her aversion to the dome kids.
ReplyDeleteKind of a Breaking Bad situation in reverse. Hmm, I wonder if Big Jim does a video "confession."
ReplyDeleteTrue. I was thinking she could use her math and science expertise to find out more about the dome's scientific side instead of all the mystical. I would like to get more into the science and less into the "special children" that they are currently playing up.
ReplyDeleteWell, special children are a staple of Stephen King storytelling so asking the series to put that aside in place of real science is quite a tall order.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. I'd love there to be sensible explanations grounded in real science to a lot of the mysteries on this show but the odds are against it. I'll settle for Dodee being more open-minded and less likely to form a lynch mob to go after the kids. I think that's a little more reasonable to hope for. :)
I'm fine with special children here as a former King obsessed reader, but I don't think that necessarily means that they should forgo the science altogether. It would be good to approach the dome from both sides. The kids, Braindead, and Psycho can pursue the stars. Dodee can pursue the physics. Win-win.
ReplyDeleteSeems like a plan to me. As an aside, I've been referring to "Brain-dead" and "Psycho" as Dimwit and Crazypants Jackson so I we're of one mind when it comes to those two.
ReplyDeleteBwah! I like those better. I'm going to steal these for the live tweet if you don't mind. By the way, I've christened the mini-dome, "Disco Egg."
ReplyDeleteThey're all yours if you want 'em. Also, I don't mind "disco egg" except for the fact that it makes me wonder if it came from a Disco Duck.
ReplyDeleteOh great, now I have "Macho Duck" stuck in my head. Thanks, it took my years to get my brother to stop singing that song to drive me nuts. I will now return the favor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rE5LxCY5WI
ReplyDeleteHoly hell. I'd rather be waterboarded than listen to that again.
ReplyDeleteSimply awful. Try having a 6 year old screeching it at you for 2 years straight because your mom thought the album looked cute. This song is the background music of my nightmares.
ReplyDeleteI think maxine is dead ! :)
ReplyDeleteYay Julia will live, thats a big spoiler, but big jim shot her?
ReplyDeleteI am wondering the exact same thing! We share the exact same thought haha!
ReplyDeleteWow. The guest cast includes parts for Thug #1, Thug #2, and Thug #3.
ReplyDeleteAs long as it isn't like her storyline in the book.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the book yet, so I will definitely take your word for it. I don't want anyone messing up this character when she's one of the few that I like.
ReplyDeleteShe has a better manager?
ReplyDeleteHEAR HEAR!!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe her agent got her a better deal. Yeah, I can see that.
ReplyDeleteIn the book, Junior is even creepier.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever do read the book, don't expect them to be a like. I'd say think of the series as inspired by the book, but following a different path.
It's still a business my friend....
