With multiple networks interested, Fox has taken in Broken Girl, a drama project from writer John Scott Shepherd, 20th Century Fox and Prospect Park. It focuses on emotionally damaged Trish Derring who, after she loses the man she saw as her last hope for happiness, decides she has nothing left to live for only to discover she’s literally invincible. Blending elements of Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Unbreakable, Broken Girl follows an antiheroine who must live with a body that has become both her fortress and her cage.

  1. Well damn. That seems interesting. Don't screw it up, FOX.

  2. Don't like the loses man and happiness part but like having a superpowered antiheroine!

  3. I really, really hope the man she loses actually dies or something so that it's not just her deciding to commit suicide because a guy broke up with her.

    That said, I'm intrigued.

  4. I wish there wasn't the "broken heart and decides to kill herself" aspect to it (really hope he died and didn't just break up with her) and doesn't it kinda sound like 'Painkiller Jane'? It could have potential, so I'll keep a watch on this one.

  5. Hm this is Fox and not FX right? If so, I like the sound of this even more, has FOX even had any antiheroines since Dark Angel? Fox seems to be trying to find success in more cable-like programming and scheduling this development season , so I hope to see this make it to the air.
