"Under the Dome's" action heats up on Monday's "Blue on Blue," when the military decides to try a drastic measure to get rid of the dome that is encasing Chester's Mill.
Here are some things to look forward to:
•The butterfly effect comes to the dome, though in a more literal way than the normal meaning of "the butterfly effect." But it spurs the U.S. military into action, leaving the town wondering what may become of them.
•It doesn't take long for Junior to step into his role as Deputy Junior -- someone sure likes strappin' on a gun.
•Several more puzzle pieces are dropped into place about Barbie, while Julie gets a visit at the dome from her sister-in-law, Mary, who has a message from Peter.

Regarding one of the things mentioned in the article ("Dodee proves to have more talents than just her engineering skills"), in the casting sides, Dodee translates for Barbie by reading the lips of a soldier - who is outside the dome - as he silently answers questions Barbie writes down for him, regarding what the military are planning. Also from the casting sides: One of the things we learn about Barbie is that he used to belong to an "infamous" military unit called the "Jackrabbits" (Barbie shows his Army patch for this unit to the soldier, who salutes him and starts telling Barbie what he knows about the military's plans).

**END SPOILERS**
Big Jim is already gone darkside in my opinion. I've been calling him Evil Jim since the pilot. Not at all excited about junior with a gun, but Norrie continues to add the snark. Have to love that. I'm also glad that Dodee is going to get a bigger part in upcoming episodes. She's been pretty much missing since the pilot.
ReplyDelete"Don't sa-a-y no, it's the i-n-nd of the wo-r-r-ld...". Then there's "Blue on blue, heartache on heartache.." Oh what could it mean? Blue on blue could mean police. This from Junior: "I believe in this town. And I believe in you. And I believe in my dad. I kind of forgot about my girlfriend, in that cellar...". Yep. Quite a cop.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Now I'm wondering what exactly Barbie did in the military.
ReplyDeleteI think his motto really is: "I'm a good neighbor until you tick me off. Then I'll ambush you when I know I'll have the advantage and lock you up until you do as I say." His dad actually gives off the same vibe. Friendly until dangerous.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm excited for this episode now, don't let me down Under The Dome! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Fairy, sounds very interesting!
ReplyDeleteI think this episode has the potential to be my favourite one so far... fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteI hope we get more insight on him soon. Barbie, Big Jim and Dodee are so far my favourites on the show. (Joe and Angie come in as close seconds)
ReplyDeleteThanks for that!
ReplyDeleteInteresting info....
Agreed! I mean I do think he does care about the town and the people in it, but I certainly think he's full on dark side. Road to hell paved with good intentions and all that...
