Awesome episode, probably one of the best so far in the season.

I think that Scott will become alpha after killing Ennis

  3. Great Episode. Scott is really becoming a powerhouse wolf, he went toe to toe with an Alpha and came out on top. If he's like this when's he's a Beta, he's going to be in a league of his own once he becomes an Alpha. No wonder the Alpha leader is scared of what he can become

Also, really loved the Scott/Allison scenes, they have great chemistry together.

  4. Scott did not kill Ennis. Deucalion did.

  5. I liked this episode but I think I will like it better in the rewatch since I know where the flashbacks are leading to. The Coach was hilarious and I liked how Scott kept Boyd from going after AlphaTwin on the bus. Deucalion killing Elevator Alpha was wicked but I'm not sure why Deaton didn't tell them all to screw themselves. Little sister is obviously running her own plan and she's still my number 1 pick for Darach although that could change quickly. The biggest shock of the night was the scene with Allison patching up Scott. Generally they are boring and bring the action to a halt, which they did in the first part. However Ghost Mom made the scene by getting Allison to focus. I also loved kick butt Allison when she blinded the werewolves in the flashbacks. Only wish her dad had joined the fight.

  6. I loved the Stiles scenes. And so glad Derek isn't dead. Still wondering when Peter is actually going to do something werewolf again. Pretty solid ep all around. The fighting scenes, everything was good. Can't wait for next week's ep.

  7. I have to confess....I was half expecting a Quickening. LOL

I watch soap operas. No body = Living Character. :-) AND Derek just reappeared! LOL

It took me a bit to decide how I felt about the time jumping of the ep but by the end fo the episode I was really liking it. (Allison's hair cut makes her look the actress' age rather than the character's to me tonight.)

Am LOVING that we're getting more with the doctor. And that the dude shut down that female alpha without breaking a sweat. Loved that Boyd and Issac held onto their tempers until they heard that Scott nearly died. Allison's stitching looked like needlework. :-)

Finally kicking into high gear and I'm loving it.

  8. Seemed to me he agreed to give medical care to Ennis only when his sister pointed out they'd go after Scott if he didn't.

I was wishing Allison's Dad had joined her in the rescue, as well.

  9. I was of course enjoying the story all episode long but if I am to be honest it took a good 40 minutes before I decided I really liked how the episode was set up with the flashbacks. And I'm so glad Derek wasn't dead but is it sick I find him somehow even sexier all beat and bloody?

Oh man, this whole episode was a bit mindscrew, basically.

Good to see that the whole natural alpha theory did turn out to be true.

Otherwise I just have no idea on what the hell happened in those 40 minutes of this episode…

I love when shows do the whole anachronistic storytelling thing, but I am not sure Teen Wolf succeeded at it.

Also more signs towards werewolves having some sort of psychic powers?

Scott already had the eyes before any of alphas even died.

Most likely Scott will be first natural alpha on the show - someone who truly "rose' to the position, instead of "usurping" it by killing another.

Flashbacks! Did anyone else notice a golden tinge in some of the flashbacks as oppose to the usual blue tinge? Well, that whole Opening Title Sequence Meta about Scott levitating equals him rising to become an alpha was correct it appears. So much to dig through, can't wait for the re-watch to sort out my feels.

  13. I really liked the character interactions in this episode. Stiles is awesome as usual. Kudos to Coach and Danny - this show does a great job at giving supporting minor characters large personalities. I loved the scene with Alison and her mom - normally Alison kinda bores me, but to see her so scared and emotionally messed up really made her seem more real.

I did not like the directions they took with the flashbacks - you had this great interactive scenes with smart*** comments and then a flashback. It broke the movement of the scene; it would have been better to have super quick peeks and saved everything to the end.

  14. He almost became Alpha during the fight without killing him but resisted it.. I reckon he's able to become Alpha without killing... which is why he's of interest to everyone.

  15. You're not the only one who had to warm to the format. Took me a bit too.

it may be sick but...apparently someone agrees with you. They're keeping him beaten and bloodied this session.

HE will probably become an alpha without having to kill any other alpha, like you sad first natural alpha

i loved the format of the ep; it really did give something extra to the storytelling!

  18. I keep hearing the opening monologue from the Highlander every time Deucalion speaks too. I want my cheesy lightning effects if they are going this route. :-)

  19. You are right about Vet Boss helping. Scott seemed to be the linchpin of his sister's argument. I still wish he had let him all bleed out though. Here's hoping Argent comes through by the end of this half and is a full-fledged hunter again in the second.

  20. Packmance? Ha! Never heard that one before. I also think Teen Wolf excels at fleshing out their minor characters. In fact many times they are the MVP of the episode for me. Coach especially brings needed wit to the show. I also felt that Allison's scenes with her mom are some of her better moments. She bores me too usually, definitely with the emo scenes with Scott, so I would love to have her get more into the hunting. She excels as a character in the midst of fighting scenes.

  21. I was beginning to thing most of the Teen Wolf fans were to young to get the reference. :-)

My best friend finally caught up and said she was looking for the lightning effects when Barefoot Wolf Chick was wailing in the parking lot.

  22. Just giving you a heads up.... I am totally using "packmance" That is awesome.

  23. I am far too old for MTV considering I remember when it began. Highlander was one of my go-to cheesy TV favs, so as soon as Duke started ranting about getting power from killing his betas it was the first thing I thought of.

  24. Argent will. He already has. He'll be back again. Given that it seems like they're going to climax at least one of these stories by the end of this half....I'm guessing he'll be back on board and helping out.

  25. I'm counting on it too. I hope it is sooner rather than later though. There's more common sense when he's around and better laid plans.

  26. She does a great job at the fighting scenes - she always has such an intense look about her during those seems. I feel that lots of times women in TV series and book series aimed at teens/young adults tend to lose their personalities in the romance sections. (Fully admitting there are exceptions to this.) I don't know if this is a ploy for more girls to step into the shoes of the female lead to connect to the broody male lead or if it is just easier to write them that way. Either way, I really miss girls with stronger personalities in a romantic setting.

  27. What concerns me is when females are only known by their romance and have no connection to the plot any other way. Thankfully Allison is not one of those. However I agree she loses her personality somewhat in the romance scenes of this show as does Scott. Mostly they both become drippy, moonstruck, emoangsting idiots to me and it drags the entire show down so I would rather avoid the angst and head back to the action every time. The scene with Ghost Mom was one of the few Scott and Allison scenes I've enjoyed all season. I'm all out of patience with the broody lovers theme that so permeates genre shows.

  28. So am I. It's the best thing I've gotten from the internet all week.
