I gather that last scene was suposed to be a holly-shit moment but it really wasn't, not for me at least, I wonder who Escher is but even if I get that he has a lot of power I'm not that interested in the extent of it
So if Escher turns out to be the mastermind of the entire series, that doesn't interest you? I don't think it was supposed to be a HUGE holy-shit moment in that last scene... just more bread crumbs/answers to show mythology. I liked it and think the freelancers should/are pretty important to the show.
