11 Jul 2013

They may not work all the time, but fans have started a petition for CBS to bring Cote de Pablo back here. Sign if you want to!

  1. These very rarely work, but I signed anyway just in case it does. It helped with The Office's series finale, after all.

  2. Since I think she is leaving of her own accord I don't see this working at all.

  3. It ia a waste of time, it seems Cote's the one who wants off the show not CBS . Cote is the one walking away from 10x the money per episode she make on any new series or cable show . I serious doubt CBS has any control over her leaving.

  4. Does anyone knows for real why she is leaving?? i read it's about the money but no legit sources so i don't really know... :( i'll sign this though!

  5. Didnt she make the decision not to renew her contract?

Maybe she wasnts to move on to something else or has other reasons, fans need to grow up and move on.

I wish her luck for the future whatever she does.

  6. I don't think she would have negotiated for this long if she didn't want to stay, tbh.

  7. I can't see her negotiating for this long if she wanted to leave, tbh.

I really don't think this petition of any use, I think NCIS will be better without her.

    ReplyDelete
  9. But she negotiated for months. Would you do that if you wanted to leave?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Seeing as she is the one that has decided to leave I don't see this working. If she wants to leave, it's her right, let her be!

  11. As much as I don't want to see my favorite character go, it was Cote's decision to leave. It was not CBS who fired her like they did with AJ Cook and Paget Brewster back in 2010, that petition I signed because I thought it was unfair what was happening to them, but this one I don't see how it could work.

Who says she was negotiating for months, I suspect this decision was made long before but probably had an agreement not to mention earlier to create suspense. I think NCIS will be so much better with her.

  13. I would. To make sure I made up my mind. Like he said, 10x the money and not to mention having your face on one of the biggest TV shows on TV. Yeah, I'd be negotiating for a looooong time to be sure that the choice I make is something I can live with.

  14. "Now after an 8 season run with her on board, the 22 million average viewers"... I mean, really? AVERAGE of 22 million? Or is that perhaps the highest peek? An average would suggest many episodes above 22 million viewers... I don't remember the ratings by heart, but that's a little bit too ambitious... isn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Probably includes DVR and +7 numbers as well.

FYI: You can see all ratings in our ratings database here http://stvplus.com/show/116/NCIS

  16. Like Hermione Granger said to the Weasley twins when they thought they could put their names in the Goblet of Fire drinking an aging potion, "It's not going to work!!"

    ReplyDelete
  17. And I just read that in her voice. :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Thanks! Forgot all about that ratings database, extremely helpful at times like these! :)

  19. The petition is an awesome idea. Yeah maybe it's her decision to leave but at least she will find out how many people like her and want her back.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hasn't she been engaged for a while now? Maybe she's getting married and decided to leave the show to focus all her attention on it. She would not be the first woman to give up on her career to start a family, even though I don't think this needs to happen nowadays, but she knows better about her life than I do, so whatever she decides, I as a fan, need to understand and support.

I believe this decisions were made a while ago, they just released to the press now because of the beggining of shotting

    ReplyDelete
  22. If she was the one who wanted to leave, why not respect that decision?

    ReplyDelete
  23. As much as I love Ziva and want her back on the show, I don't see this working. I don't think her leaving had to do with money. CBS has oodles of money, and NCIS is top dog, so if she was asking for quite a bit, I can kinda see them caving and giving it to her, so I think she made the decision to leave on her own and pursue other things and it was just recently made public.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I don't think this petition is necessary if Cote is leaving by her own accord. I don't watch the show religiously, but I like to catch up on it on lazy days. I love Ziva's character, and I love her dynamic with the other actors. I hate the thought that she is leaving, but as long as she has a proper send off, I will be at peace with myself.

  25. Haha, suck it, NCIS fans! Tiva was a lame couple anyway. They shouldn't have killed Kate in the first place.

    ReplyDelete
  26. PLEASE. COTE stay with us. We need you, this show needs you. We are all so devastated. please.

As hard as it is for me to accept de Pablo is leaving, I don't believe THIS could possibly work, especially since it was Cote's decision to leave in the first place.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Honestly I want her back just to finish her story, that's it and I'll be happy to never see Ziva again!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think this is one of the more redundant fan attempts. Not to burst people's bubbles, but she chose not to come back, so trying to get her back seems pointless...

  30. It's like saying no Elliot for SVU. I just pray and hope Elliot be their for the SVU series finale just like Ziva in the NCIS series finale.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Although I like Ziva, and I like Cote de Pablo as an actor. I'm gonna pass on any petition signing. After being on the show for 8 years, i'm sure she's made a tremendous amount of money, so I hardly believe it would come down to "CBS not paying enough". On the other hand, I find it far more likely that she would like to try on other roles for a while. NCIS was among her first acting jobs, and she's had a great run.

The show suffered for a bit after "Kate" was killed off in the end of Season 2, but eventually got back up again, and now #1 TV drama. My only wish, is for the Ziva character to remain ALIVE, after Cote de Pablo leaves the show. That way, she can still be brought back if both storyline, and scheduling allows it.

    ReplyDelete
  32. It's kinda disrespectful to disregard Cote's wishes to leave the show. I'm all for supporting actors, specially when the network is unfair to them; but this time, supporting Cote means letting her go to do her thang.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think she's leaving for reasons other than money. Unless she's a
blithering idiot (which I seriously doubt) Cote has to know the current
realities of 2013 TV economic landscape. Most new and 12 episode cable
shows she could be making less total salary for a 12 to 22 episode
season than she currently makes for two episodes of NCIS for CBS. Even
if she feels disrespect by a lack of a pay raise , in reality she can't
make more elsewhere only less $$$$$$. When stars suddenly split a very
successful show like this for some reason other than money. We may not
know for many years.... maybe she wants kids? maybe she really hates one or more of her
fellow cast members?, maybe she tried of the 22 to 23 episode TV season
grind, who knows? At this stage it all smiles and murmuring all the
correct good bye platitudes so as not to look like sour grapes and
burning your bridges with networks , producers and production companies
so later when you want to work again you can ( A la Sasha Alexander) .
At this stage although I hate to see Ziva's character go maybe a new
cast member will breath some new life in the writing and character
development of NCIS. Only time will tell.

  35. Maybe we should have a petition to request they don't kill her off. I don't think this current petition will work given its her decision, but I sure don't want to see Ziva die.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I've signed the petition. If it is Cote's decision to leave then I totally support her 100% but if this is anything to do with CBS and pay like it was for Criminal Minds then I want my voice to be heard!...

I only hope that they don't kill her, we've lost pretty much all the female characters like that.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yes I hope they do not kill Ziva off too. It would be a shame. But ever since Donald Bellisario Sr was ousted from control over his own production company was highjacket by his sons and trusted associates, murdering off unwanted characters has been Bellisario productions standard M.O. . I will be happy but shock if Ziva's exit doesn't end in a funeral.

  38. Kate or Ziva

Who do you think is better, Kate or Ziva? I like Ziva better.

If the decision had been made long before, it would have been announced earlier, not just before they start shooting the new series.

I think she wanted to stay but they weren't willing to give her what she wanted (growth for Ziva? a relationship with Tony?)

Please keep her on the show. The cast really work well together and it is hard to find that in a show.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I AM FROM PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA, & I & MANY OF MY FRIENDS HAVE WATCHED 'NCIS' SINCE THE BEGINNING. WE DON'T WANT ZIVA (COTE TO LEAVE), SHE IS A TREMENDOUS ACTOR, & IT WILL NOT BE THE SAME WITHOUT HER. PLEEEAAASE GET HER TO STAY OR YOU WILL LOSE HEAPS OF VIEWERS. WE LOVE YOU COTE!!!!!!!

My mother is a HUGE NCIS fan. She is retired and watches every single rerun on USA Network as well as the new episodes on CBS. She has watched every episode at least 25 times. She even recites the lines before the characters even say them. Her favorite character...Cote de Pablo. My mother has asked me sign this petition on her behalf since she is not computer savy. She wants CBS to know that as much as she likes all the characters, she will no longer watch or support the show if Cote is no longer part of the cast. They have a chemistry that not too many shows have these days. She thinks the shows executives should get off their fat wallets and pay her or at least try to meet her somewhere at a point she will be happy with an amount to make her want to stay with the show. The shows execs will continue to make their millions by keeping her on the show rather than letting her go and trying to find that same chemistry that may or may not happen. After all remember what happened after Charlie left Two and a Half Men. The shows viewership declined, myself included, stopped watching the show, and it is now a show you can probably only view on netflix!
