    I must say that I am pleased at what it seems we are building towards.

    I've speculated a lot about what I think is to come and this show hit me with a bit of a curve ball tonight. Finding out that the other device thingy was in Irisa was fairly shocking, but when you think about it, was set up by a previous episode. The cave painting was also explained tonight. It's clearly an Irathian, possibly even meant to be Irisa. It would explain a lot.

    This episode appeared to shine a negative light on the doctor lady, though going with that presented picture would be very naive. Her actions were not explained, but it's clear she was doing what she was doing so she could find the other weird star thingy. I believe she only wanted to do this to remove the threat. Despite what looked like a darkish turn, the last episode showed us how she views herself. She's doing a lot of things the wrong way and she may (should) pay a price for that, but she doesn't seem to have the desire to be destructive like the former mayor.

    I still think this season ends with D.T. winning the election (unless they cliff that... grr). I think it's the only way to set up a good conflict with higher stakes involved. Having the power of this thing being discovered in the finale episode is also very important. I don't just mean... "Team Defiance." knowing about it. It's got to be spectacular "event," spectacular enough so soon to be mayor D.T. knows and the Earth Republic people know.

    Then, as next season goes along and the town becomes divided as D.T. and the E.R. become stronger and try to take control of this powerful thing, Team Defiance forms to take back the city from the "bad guys," but protect the world from these guys. I expect D.T.'s son is going to play his part in this and choose not to stand with his father.

    It will be worth watching. I just wish season 2 was sooner rather than later so I didn't have to wait for the answers. :(
