    I used to be interested and invested in it, but the love trinagle (and show in general) has being going down hill since S3. I used to ship Damon/Elena, but now I'd rather they focus on fixing Elena as a character, because this last season she was a mess. I also hope they manage to find something to do/storylines for the supporting characters.

    I voted Damon, obviously. I just want Damon to get the girl, I mean, it's about time, why does Stefan always get the girl? Katherine preferred him, well then Elena should stick to Damon. That is of course, what I wish/want to happen, but I think she'll eventually regret her choice and go back to Stefan.
    My second choice in no one. The truth is, that if she regrets her choice on the season finale, Stefan fans will be right when they say she doesn't deserve him, because she's just toying around with their feelings.

    My sentiments exactly. I'd rather be with someone who lets me make my own decisions and doesn't dictate how I should live my life. That's just me though, for Elena I voted for 'no one' since I don't think Damon deserves her and she doesn't deserve Stefan.

    I'm not rooting for Elena and Stefan either. I liked Stefan a lot in the first 2 seasons, but then he just became another mindless killer who's let off the hook by fans/shippers because he's hot and OMG, Stelena are so epic.


    I'm just pointing how it amuses me that you think it's crazy to like Stefan with Elena because he's boring, when both Salvatore brothers have much, much bigger issues. Just because a show is about vampires doesn't mean no moral standards exist, even if they ARE different standards. Although, I guess now that we're supposed to think Klaus is dreamy when he romances Caroline over the corpses of Jenna, Carol and endless other people, Stefan and Damon look decent by comparison.

    I don't feel one way or the other on this issue, but you can't possibly hold Stefan doing terrible things against him and then ignore it with Damon. I don't know which of them is worse, but both have enough blood on their hands for you to drown in it.

    After the beginning of Season 3 I wrote off Stefan because he, too, became just another killer (saving Damon for the price of slaughtering so many people in Klaus' service), but this is one thing I totally agree on. I loathed how Damon would always manhandle Elena and try to stop her from doing whatever because he thought he knew better. A healthy relationship means respecting your partner's decisions even if you don't agree with them. Since Damon will never be able to do that with Elena, a relationship between them will take the form of abuse (which Damon has a lot of experience with, see: Caroline, Andie).


    It truly upsets me to see so many young girls rooting for the relationship and blaming Elena for being a bitch to him or whatever, while sweeping Damon''s endless transgressions against Elena's loved ones (and his violent treatment of her) under the rug. Well, Elena herself forgot about these things in a matter of days, so why shouldn't the audience, I guess.

    But wait, wasn't it the only time damon was trying to control her decisions was when she was willing to die in the sacrifice? I don't know but his behavior was completely normal to me. Wouldn't you protest too if the person that you love was volunteering herself to die? or am i missing something here. Should he have also chosen to save matt, a complete stranger to him, instead of elena when they were dying? I don't see anything wrong in all that sh*t at all, and i would have done the same sh*t. You guys are sounding like a bunch of feminists with a lot of insecurities. I mean, it's a show, it's fiction, just enjoy the damn thing.

    Well since we're being "Honest Here" (LOL), my only reason for watching the series is Bonnie, Caroline, and Rebekah, who for me are the most interesting characters in the series (Main Cast)! All three didn't have a chose in their current lives. Bonnie was born a witch, she did not chose this life. Caroline was murdered by Katherine and turned to a vampire by circumstances beyond her control, a fate not of her choosing. And Rebekah turned a vampire (Original) by her mother, a fate she neither chose and secretly regretted/resented for centuries.Rebekah has said she wants the modest life (Fall in Love, Get Married, Have a Family, Grow Old and Die)! As far as the "Star Stroke Lover" go, they can all have a "Ringless" vacation in the sun! DIARIES ARE 4 READING, I am Nobody!!!

    It's always a sketchy proposition to watch a program purely for the secondary characters. More often than not you'll end up frustrated and disappointed with the allocation of screen time, the plotting, character usage etc.

    Yeah, and I was also trying to say Stefan in Season 3 with his emotions turned off and him scaring Elena on the bridge wasn't something the Stefan who chooses to have emotions would ever do to Elena. He's not cruel like that. So the part about Stefan being horrible towards Elena is invalid because he was forced to turn off his emotions.

    The funny thing is, I liked Damon more in the first half of S1 because then the show owned up to the fact that he was a villain. After that, it pretty much became "who cares about all the people Damon kills/rapes/abuses/etc? Look at those baby blues! And the ANGST! And he likes Elena, so...". How come I love Katherine so much? Because she's a villain who the show acknowledges as such. With the Salvatores and Klaus, it's like nothing bad they do matters as long as they're heartthrobs.

    I quit after S3 because I was sick of the Triangle and Klaus. Sometimes I fantasize of a Katherine spin-off where she's driving around the country in a hot sports car, wearing fabulous clothes, hair and jewelry and kicking ass. Caroline, Tyler, Elijah, Rebekah and Jeremy would be the rest of the cast.

    Stefan wouldn't turn off his emotions if he lost Elena. He has a hard time dealing with the guilt when he's forced to turn off his emotions. I think he'd rather kill himself than lose control like that again.

    The show was based on a love triangle, so were the books, so the show is not for everyone.


    I agree, that's how I felt about Damon when everyone was being lovey dovey about him in S1. That's why I loved Stefan. I hated that they made his past so awful and made him kill for Klaus to save Damon, and turned his emotions off in S3 to do more awful.


    Out of all vamps Lexi and Caroline are the best.


    Nowadays for this show I just go with the "if they reform I'll try to move from the past, for the show's sake" approach. I have the same approach to Once Upon A Time.

    I would agree with you, but for one small detail; Klaus (that is pre - babies dad Niklaus) doesn't give choses or chances! Especially if this helped recapture Elena (has he really given up on making Hybrids?). At least that was the direction I was headed with my "Ripper" reference.

    I gotta say Damon too. In 4x10 her feelings for Stefan were practically summed up for me when she said all she feels is like a problem to be solved or a broken toy whereas Damon will take her anyway she comes.

    they are probably going to make her end up with stefan because that was her "first love" but I really think it should be damon and I think stefan and caroline should be together I just think they would be a cute couple because in the few episodes where they were hanging out and stuff they looked to have enjoyed eachothers company.

    Damon. I feel that Stefan is the 'Angel' of the Vampire Diaries. He is a little bit broad and he has done terrible things on more then one occasion. He was the Ripper after all. He is way too overprotective of Elena. Damon is protective, but i think he knows that Elena can handle herself.
