Agreed. Even if only Summer series to start with... Maybe if a few Summer serialized shows hit it big CBS will actually attempt a Fall season premiere later!
So good said. I hope this makes everybody else hit more on miniseries than just FOX (24: Live Another Day and that Matt Dillon/Melissa Leo-show), NBC (Dracla, Crossbones) and CBS.
Holy crap! That is awesome for a summer show! Good on CBS because they have been promoting Under the Dome like crazy since February and I guess all that promotion paid off. Hopefully the ratings stay the same for the weeks to come because the premiere was pretty awesome!
According to TV by the numbers, it's been adjusted up in the final ratings to 3.3 (18-49) and 13.53 million overall! Really amazing numbers, hope they can hold up next week!
Really impressed, but I think it's necessary to see the ratings of weeks to come to judge the performance. But definitely hoping it stay with a good demo through the season.
These are like American Idol numbers (The Early Years)! Now they just have to do it again next week. I for one am rooting for them and two supporting the "Dome" by watching! 4 A TOUR UNDER THE DOME, I am Nobody!!!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Holy shit. That is awesome and I'm so happy!
ReplyDeletePretty solid numbers, indeed. Good for them!
ReplyDeleteThat's huge! I'm happy for genre tv today, and for Britt Robertson!
ReplyDeleteCompared to this, the premiere ratings for the other networks summer shows this year are laughable.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me happy!
ReplyDeleteAny time a non-procedural becomes a hit is nice, but on CBS is twice as nice!
i agree. hopefully this translates to networks taking and giving more chances to genre shows.
ReplyDeleteAgreed.

ReplyDeleteHopefully now CBS will realize they need to stop making so many procedural shows. I really do not like procedurals anymore. Or cop shows.
ReplyDeletewow, 13.1 million! this is amazing! I'm really happy for UTD!

ReplyDeleteGreat :) This show seems to have a great storyline!
ReplyDeleteThis really rocks! I thought it would be around 2.5 but these numbers are even beyond my prediction. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what the +7 brings it up to?

ReplyDeleteHoly fuck at the final numbers being adjusted up! I hope this continues.
ReplyDeleteHolly crap! This is insane. Broadcasts would kill for these numbers during normal season.. For summer it is crazy! Well deserved, hope it holds up!
