Audio from a President
Obama speech delivered
in the wake of Hurricane
Sandy had been used in
an episode of CBS ‘s
Under The Dome but has since been cut, the
network confirms. “The audio of the President in
the final scene will change,” said CBS in an
official statement. “The scene cleared broadcast
standards, but both Amblin TV and CBS had
concerns about using actual audio in this specific
fictional context.” The Stephen King adaptation
premiering June 24 follows the residents of a
small town that becomes isolated from the
outside world by an invisible barrier. The Obama
clip had been briefly integrated into fictional
news reports on the events within the show at
the end of the episode. The version sent to critics
for review two weeks ago was not final. CBS and
Amblin Entertainment opted to edit out the audio
on Thursday.

That is very good, I see way to much of him as it is, don't need him in my entertainment as well.
ReplyDeletehe is the president!
ReplyDeleteSo, does that mean I have to see him on my TV EVERYDAY.
ReplyDeleteTrust me I do.
ReplyDeleteReminds me a lot of the backlash against the First Lady when she appeared at the Oscars. People forgot that Laura Bush presented an Oscar in 2002..
ReplyDeleteBut I guess rehabber would rather see Jamie Foxx or Martin Sheen as the President.
No I would rather see someone that cares about this country as president, not someone that loves vacations on my dime and thinks he walks on water. Heck even Carter was better.
ReplyDeleteJust for the record, do you actually think Mr. Nucular, I mean, G. W. Bush was better than Obama?
ReplyDeleteVoting for the Donkey would have been better than obama, he has spent more money than most of the previous presidents in history combined and the country is worse off than when he started.
ReplyDeleteOf course he is not perfect, but just remember how the economy was like in 2008. Anyway, let's focus on tv series and movies and not politics :) Real life is all too present, it's nice to have an "escape" website like Spoilertv.
ReplyDeleteThis site is where I go to look for info on any TV show, used to go to several others, but left them for spoilertv.
ReplyDeleteThen let us all be in agreement that SpoilerTV is awesome!
ReplyDeleteWell, not that it has anything to do with my own political issues that I may or may not have with certain politicians, but I don't see how it would have really bettered the story, unless they are going to use the hurricane as cultural/historic reference through out in order to enhance the realism.
ReplyDeleteHowever, what will really make me made is if that LOST sequel isn't dropped! ;)
Congress is the ones who actually make the decisions. Obama's rule is actually more limited than people act like it is (or maybe they just never listened in history/economy class - only news channels).
ReplyDeleteAs for vacations, Bush took a lot too.
Frankly no matter what they do, if a president doesn't have a "magic cure" to fix everything without doing something people dislike (issues with taxes, war on terror, gun violence, etc) there are always going to be unhappy people, especially those belonging to the opposite party (R vs. D).
People were the same with Bush.
Whether any president in a while has done any good or had the right intentions we'll never truly know if we're not politicians ourselves and know the people we assume to know.
My economics teacher would have a field day with that reply. :/
ReplyDeleteI will use one of Dean Winchester's quotes from Time After Time.."Sweet Merciful Awesome" lol
ReplyDeleteBe careful, he's listening and now he's going to audit you.
