  1. It had to start falling at some point and I'm not surprised it has happened at this point the show doesn't have the buzz any more.

  2. YAY for Tue Blood!

    Duplicating Shit of Thrones ratings.

  3. Even with ratings down a bit surely True Blood has to be a lot more affordable than GoT...I'm a little behind on True Blood but I'd be surprised if it doesn't make it an 8th season. After that though it should probably end.

  4. Glad you like "Tue Blood" but please don't disparage one show filled with sex and violence in favor of another show filled with sex and violence.

Not sure if they did the same thing this year but the premiere last year was available one week early on HBO Go and select On Demand markets, so you're telling me that even with no early release the ratings were down by double percentage points, doesn't sound good. Hopefully the numbers are better next week. With that said I'm pretty sure they're going to get a at least two more seasons though.

  6. What can you expect from a True Blood fan. Seriously, this show is a stain in HBOs line-up. I hope they will put it out of its misery as soon as possible.

  7. Both shows are good. It's just True Blood is bombastic and campy. It explores are more modern human social and identity issues by making a total mockery of it!! It's more comedic and not as much of a point blank political drama as GOT.

I'm glad HBO has such a variety. There's something there for everyone and IMO that is what a network should strive to do.

  8. Disregarding your bias, How is this comment even truthful? or you don't know what duplicating means?

I mean, if you don't like a show, that's your prerogative, but don't expect people not calling you out in your lying.

  9. Though I agree that TB is not what it used to be, the ratings haven't plummeted, so all in all, that's good.

  10. I'm not even sure why people are bringing GOT into this. The shows aren't vying for viewership on the same night. GOT didn't push TB out of it's usual airing position. It's natural TB's ratings would be down some, considering how it's coming off a widely panned season. They're based on completely different genres of source material. TB's also longer in the tooth than GOT (no pun intended). Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of both shows, it's just ... why the immediate comparison to GOT? I don't see a mention of Boardwalk Empire. Or Girls. Or Veep. Or The Newsroom. All are huge hits for HBO.

  11. I only said that because I've seen like two discussions online wondering if TB was expendable since its not as popular and not as talked about anymore I'm not quite sure why I said it here probably bc it was so fresh in my mind.:)
