just an ok ep for me... a bit too predictable and the writing kinda left a bit to be desired, especially concerning the old mayor and Mcawley's son interactions and the ghost brother was just meh to me, but learning about Dr Yewell and the old mayor once being in cahoots was an interesting development and you have to figure that the dr will eventually come clean to Nolan/Amanda in what the old mayor is up to. I guess it wasn't in the budget to have Tommy/Kenya there as you'd figure that Tommy would've wanted to make sure that Irisa was safe and Kenya for sure would've been with her sister.... not a great ep, but not horrible but I really hope that the writing picks up quick as I'm starting to lose interest..
It was an OK episode but the ending ruined it for me. The reason I even heard about the show was because Gale Harold was in it and he was the reason why I was turning in, even if I knew he was only going to be in three episodes this season. Was hoping that his character might make a return on the second season. That's obviously not happening anymore. Means there's no reason for me to tune in anymore.
After a pretty solid episode last week, this week's really was a disappointment. In fact, it pretty much sucked wind, despite a very few good moments. Really? You're quarantined, so you send not only members of one of the two races that can carry the disease to the border point, rather than members of the various OTHER species that CANNOT be carriers, you ALSO send someone actually infected with the disease? Give me strength. The internment of the Irathients was ham-fisted, the killing of the one in lock-up the result of an basurd plot contrivance depending an an absolute failure of sensible behaviour, etc. etc. etc. This show needs to get its act together fast. The concept still has a lot of potential, but the execution frickin' sucks.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteHas the series picked up at all?
ReplyDeleteI checked out after episode 3 or 4 I think...
I like it, but find the writing kinda bland and it feels so cheap production wise at times..
I was hoping to hear it picked up and I would resume watching.
I think it has potential, but....
