Check out the hilarious video Hansen posted as a thank you to fans & let us know in the comments how psyched you are for his return.
And as if the already assembled cast of Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring, Enrico Colantoni, Francis Capra, Percy Daggs III, Tina Majorino, Daran Norris and Chris Lowell wasn't enough, Thomas & Co. have announced a slew of other former Mars cast members reprising their roles for the film. Most exciting? Actress Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad, Don't Trust The B----), who has found increasing success since her time in Neptune, announced today that she would be stepping back into the part of Gia Goodman for the film. Ritter expressed the following to fans via her twitter account:
Veronica Mars has a special place in my heart because it was my first big acting job (!!!!!!) and it was also one of the most lovely on-set experiences you could ever ask for. This will truly be an awesome shoot, not only because we all get to be reunited (can't WAIT!) but because of the revolutionary way this all was able to come to life! Thank you, thank you, thank you to Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell, Kickstarter, and most of all, to you, our AMAZING FANS, for making it happen. I'm honored to be a part of it!
In addition to Ritter, Neptune High will see several more alumni return for the 10 year reunion alongside Miss Mars; Amanda Noret will reprise her role as mean-girl Madison Sinclair, while Sam Huntington (Being Human) will be back to play season 1 drug mule Luke Haldeman. Immediately following the success of the Kickstarter campaign Rob Thomas shared the following script exceperpt featuring Veronica and Madison:
So, is there anyone left you just need to see back in Neptune? Filming is just two (TWO!!!!) days away, and still no word on Vinnie Van Lowe, but the additions of Dick, Gia and Madison are definitely exciting. Hit the comments to let out your excitement and let us know who & what YOU want to see in the Veronica Mars movie.

Awesome news! Thanks for the update ;)
ReplyDeleteRyan's video is one of the most hilarious things I've seen in a long time. I've watched it at least 5 times today. I love how up-to-date they're keeping us during this entire process. Truly it's the new era of filmmaking...
ReplyDeleteKrysten Ritter? HELL YEAH!
ReplyDeleteGlad i'm not the only pumped about this! Gia was hilarious, the reunion wouldn't be the same without her.. and i've been a big fan of her work since, too
ReplyDeletelol, I've never watched Veronica Mars but I enjoyed that - looks like they're having fun :D
ReplyDeleteI would recommend it! A friend told me I needed to watch it and let me borrow her entire VM series (3 seasons). My roomies and I didn't really want to start anything new so it sat on the bookshelf for about two weeks. When we started to watch it, we finished the entire thing in about 2 weeks -- all while going to college full time, volunteering and other stuff. There was no sleeping, just VM.
ReplyDeleteHis reaction video to 2 million mark was funny too (but not because of Dick, but his little girl).
ReplyDeleteThis has been my favorite cast welcome video of them all. I love how everyone is so excited to be making this movie. It makes me anticipate it even more.
ReplyDeleteTell me about it! Went through an entire season while studying for finals.
ReplyDeleteVery pleased about these additions... I would just like 'Vinnie' added and then my dream cast would be complete...but I guess as filming starts this week and there have been no more updates since those two that maybe there is no Vinnie.
