McKinley High's halls just got a little less crowded.

Four original Glee cast members will not be returning as series regulars for the Fox hit's upcoming fifth season, E! News has confirmed. So which actors will fans be seeing a lot less of come the season five premiere on Sept. 19? Mark Salling, Heather Morris, Harry Shum Jr. and Amber Riley.

All four stars, as well as Dianna Agron, another original cast member who had a brief presence in season four, could return for guest appearances, TVLine, who first reported the news of the series' downsizing their roles, notes.

  1. Bah! I like Heather Morris! But I suppose her pregnancy needs priority.

  2. It's not like this is very surprising they were barely on the show this season I didn't even know they were considered series regulars this season.

  3. As much as i enjoy the show, please let it end at Season 6. Its getting repetitive. last season was alright it had its up and way down. its a show that i loved in Season 1 and its gradually declining each season.

  4. Well, I suppose Marley, Ryder, Unique, Jake and Kitty will be upped to regular then.

  5. Me too.
I still don't know what they consider to be a regular.
Amber or Harry had, what, five lines the whole season?

    I'll miss Heather.

  7. I am not optimistic about Glee since a long time, but maybe this is a move that will help streamline the storylines by actually moving forward instead of stringing along characters and actors they don't know how or want to use.
