In its short, yet game-changing history, Game of Thrones has had 2 season finales to date. What's more, both season finales set series high ratings and audiences at the time they aired.

Following last week's jaw-dropping episode, friends of mine who I never knew actually watched Game of Thrones, were talking about it constantly. I suspect I wasn't the only one in that boat, and I also suspect some workplaces won't have had the most productive week they've ever had as a result!

Last week's episode earned a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating, and was watched by a total of 5.22 million viewers on HBO. No doubt there were tens of millions more watching on other networks - and other methods - in the US and around the world. Putting other methods and networks aside, last week's episode was the second equal highest rated episode this season, and thus, the series overall, and was the outright third most viewed episode in the season, and thus, the series also.

Game of Thrones has never broken the 3.0 ratings mark, but Sunday's finale would be a good time to do it, in order to continue the standard set by the previous 2 season finales which broke series ratings and audience records at the time they aired. Currently, the series high ratings and audience record is held by the fifth episode of the season which earned a 2.9 rating and was watched by 5.50 million viewers.

Now it's your turn to have a crack at what you think the ratings and audience for this season's finale will be. You can find the ratings and audience of all Game of Thrones episodes along with season averages, graphs and more, on this page

Thanks for reading and voting! Enjoy the season finale!

  1. I loved season 3 so far and I'm sure the finale won't dissapoint either. I hope it goes out with some record-breaking ratings.

  4. 3.0 and 5.4 - 5.6 million viewers and once again it will increase a hell of a lot with the repeat showings. I think S4 will be when it really jumps ahead of its current ratings as everyone who has heard about how crazy it has been this season finally gives in and catches up with the show.

  5. I'm thinking they will just break 3.0 or round up to it like 2.95 or something...
And they will draw 5.7 million viewers.

FYI there is no 5.6 -5.8 million category. You skipped it. ;)

  7. I agree, episode 9 was too controvertial not to see the aftermath of it. between 5.8 and 6.0 million viewers. And finally breaking the 3.0 mark.

  9. This. A female friend of mine heard me and another friend talking about 3x09 and she was like "What the hell are you guys talking about?" and I gave her the link to the 3x09 reactions video and now her life is ruined.

  10. Hahaha I love it when new people get addicted to GOT, it is so fun to see them react to everything. So yeah definitely think it will hit a new high next season and keep on climbing.
