Haha no who I would have expected for the role but can't wait to see it actually.
ReplyDeleteWow, he actually sounds perfect for the role.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting
ReplyDeleteI'm calling it. Mycroft is going to flirt with Joan. Mark my words, it's going to happen.
ReplyDeleteMeh....
ReplyDeleteooo juicy I can't wait for the episode.
ReplyDeleteWow, i wouldn't have expected him for this role but he might prove to be perfect for this role..
ReplyDeleteUrgh such a good choice. He's kinda underrated as an actor, but he really has range! So I'm not sure if they are going with serious or silly. Color me excited!
ReplyDeleteGuys. 221B Baker Street!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see that happen.
ReplyDeleteTheir casting director must be really good. Even though I wouldn't have thought of Ifans, he has that weird kinda "off" quality that might be just perfect.
ReplyDeleteExactly what I thought.
ReplyDeleteGive the casting guy all the Emmys. They've not really made a bad choice yet. I thought Vinnie Jones would have been ridiculous as Moran, but he ended up being perfect. Now I wonder--who will Sherlock's father be?
ReplyDeleteThe casting director does deserve some credit here. It would be easy (and lazy) to simply cast a "name" for a lot of these guest star roles but you can tell some serious thought went into these selections.
ReplyDeleteThis man right here:

Omg, I've been saying him from the beginning.
ReplyDeletePerfect casting is perfect because he is perfect!
ReplyDeleteWhich is something rare these days... I'm so sick of stunt casting...
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of stunt casting either. The only time I do enjoy it is when it's done in a tongue-in-cheek manner and the show in question doesn't mind owning up to it. My two favorites were Boston Legal and the undisputed king of stunt casting - Chuck.
ReplyDelete*Bows to the king*
ReplyDeleteWell, I loved the show so much that I would have kept watching Chuck even if a Kardashian made a cameo (would have died inside a bit, though). And that is like the lowest of all lows in my book.
