    Katherine at least for me because of her Bulgarian background and Nina's so i like to see my language in tv series and to be writen as bulgarian not, serbian, russian and so on.

    The Tomb and The Lineage, hands down. That was TVD at its BEST.

    During Katherine chapters(start of S2) the show was already wavering, Damon was already being ruined and the show was already stalling. Then the show jumped the shark after Masquerade and every following story arc was worse than the previous one. S2 was apparently solely dedicated towards making sure that NO ONE would ever like Elena as a character.


    And then the show jumped the shark again in S3 with more of mary sue elena, more of love triangle of doom and not to mention boringinals being dropped into already overcrowded and struggling show ALL AT ONCE(let's forget they did not even manage to handle Klaus right and they dropped a couple more at once)


    Overall S2 and S3 feels like One huge damn filler, you could skip it and actually, the show might even benefit from it, as S2 and S3 assassinated the characters of the main trio so thoroughly that there's nothing to like about them or be interested in.



    And from what I heart S4 is basically Supernatural Seaoson 6 - a trainwrecky headless chicken with no direction and with nonsensical plot "twists".


    Gods I so wish this show would get cancelled and someone competent would remake it, bringing back the memories of awesomeness of Season One.

    I liked season 2 the most! Season 3 started great. I really loved Episode 1 - 5 and after that... VD got weaker.

    I have voted for The Tomb, The Lineage, The Katherine and The Klauss/Curse (the werewolves too but I couldn't vote for so many). Bottom line.. Second half of season 1 and season 2

    I voted for the Katherine chapter. In my opinion, the two worst chapters in TVD has been their recent ones: The Cure and Silas Chapters.

    Interesting poll.
    I picked the first four. The show was great in Season 1 and I feel it reached its peak in early Season 2: with Katherine as an amazing Big Bad, vamp!Caroline being awesome, Stefan and Elena still being likable and the love triangle not having become too horrid yet. After Katherine was locked away in the tomb, Season 2 was not as good but still decent.
    Season 3 I found awful for the most part, so I stopped watching afterwards. I can longer put up with either the Originals (spinning them to their own series might be too little, too late) or the triangle. The characters I still enjoy like Caroline, Tyler, (the now dead) Jeremy, Katherine and Elijah just aren't enough to make this show watchable.

    Originals and Klaus chapter! specially originals. best best ever. we came to know entire history of klaus and how vampires were made. cant think of anything better than this!
    S4 is worst ever due to lack of originals. i mean entire season on elena and her issues? puhleezz.

    for me the first 2 seasons were the best with S1 the strongest, with the Katherine, Tomb, and Lineage at the top.. really loved how quickly the show moved back then before really getting mired in the muck that is the current state of the show which began around S3

    The Katherine Chapter was my flawless each and every episode. No other villain will compare to her (ahem Klaus). Stabbing John, turning Caroline, making Jenna stab herself, the Stelena breakup (my heart died) she was a force to be reckoned with.

    Word. Klaus is such a joke as a "villain". He may be more powerful than Katherine or Elijah but he'll never be half as scary as them. They got stuff DONE while he whines endlessly about his loneliness and draws ponies for the blonde teenage girl he's crushing on. His vast popularity puzzles me to no end because I find him downright unwatchable.
