Thanks to Nuno for the heads up.

Walking Dead, on the other hand, is in just its third season and has a lot more to go.

“We hope that zombies live forever and we’ve just begun to find out what the post-apocalyptic world is like,” said Sapan, “so that we’ll be sitting here at the Barclays conference in 2022 discussing the fact that Walking Dead is not over … at that point, I think any one of the companies will have replaced the United States government and we’ll be in a complete free enterprise world in which there are no nations.”

  1. Just decided I will not be catching up on The Walking Dead after all. My boyfriend will be upset. But God if they want this to run as long as conceivably possible I'm not interested. This is a cable show not freaking CSI. It does not need more than 6 or 7 seasons.

  2. The third season was immeasureably bad in comparison to the first two which had their own problems. Hopefully the new showrunner can save it but I'm sure AMC will can him at the first sign of trouble.

  3. Agreed - with the comic books, they have a lot of content to work with - esp. since they don't follow it anywhere near exactly. There are a ton of survivors left that they can use

  4. I can honestly see The Walking Dead going on for 8, 9 or even 10 seasons.

  5. I kinda agree. I didn't like the last season so much. It would sound petty, but it was mainly due to the excessive use of "hope-kind-of-songs" at the end of every episode. It became Smallville. And it drive me nuts.

  6. If it only goes for 6 or 7 seasons then that's a reason to stop watching it. That mean they'd only have 3 to 4 more seasons left. That's just not enough time to tell the whole story like they mean to.

  7. Yeah, also the setting of the show allows to basically make it run forever, as long as you replace some of the characters with new ones once in a while.

  8. As long as they do it right, The Walking Dead can go on for more than five seasons. But what a lot of people fail to realize is that having more seasons doesn't always making things better. Take The Shield for example. Shawn Ryan could have did more than seven seasons but he knew what he wanted for his show and it worked. Even after close to five years, forgot when it ended lol...., even after close to five years since the Series Finale, I still think that show, is one of THE best Series Finales ever. Now, take a look at Supernatural which is another show I really like. They could have ended it after Season 5 but they didn't. They wanted to keep going with the show to please the fans but each season after Season 5 has not been as good at all as the earlier seasons, in my opinion at least. All I am saying is that they need to have an end in sight and make it an awesome end.

  9. Oh, and I don't think the Sign In Function for Facebook works when you sign in to comment. When I comment, I sign in using Facebook but now, it said that you don't have a password or whatever set up.

  10. Daniel

I literally just signed in with Facebook and it worked fine. Sometimes Facebook is slow and times out.

  11. Thanks! It works now, don't know why it happened before. :)

  12. I was really bored by the second half of season 3, the thought of this show lasting 10 more years because nauseous. I think i am done with the show

  13. the show can go on for many season as they would want they only need to keep things interesting, i can see it going for 10 seasons and that would be a good run 6 seson are great but 10 season are enough

  14. Sounds good. Who said The Walking Dead had to be confined to the USA anyway. How about a European/UK season? With more relaxed gun control, that could be more interesting how people survive.

  15. Yay! I'm all for lots of seasons.... If the Simpsons can do it... lol

  16. I'm so glad I'm done with this show. The second half of Season 2 was bad, and I stayed for Season 3 just because I really love Sarah Wayne Callies. When her character left, I left. For me, it's no Smallville to keep up with the dragging of the story to last, like, 10 seasons.

  17. Makes sense when you look at the comics. Doesn't make sense when you look at the quality of the show.

  18. I'll watch the show until Daryl and Carol die and not an episode more. I don't care how long this lasts.,

  19. I really doubt they'll do a season in the UK. A UK version of the show? I'd watch the crap out of that, though.
