I was pleasantly surprised with the writing of this episode! I felt like the characters were perfectly portrayed, and the plot, though not advanced in giant steps, was very compelling.
Awesome episode. Miles listening to Charlie and make the right choice, and man I knew Aaron is important to mithology of the show. Grace finally back on the story and WTH is in the level seven who kill that guy? That is the Revolution I like, more good moments with Miles and crew, and the cool stuff of the mistery of the blackout.
He tries desperately not to be the "killer" that he used to be. He wants to help the rebels (I suppose somewhat reluctantly) to restore the United States. You can't restore the United States, if you continue to act like brutish savages. Taking hostages, and killing people you don't like is not the road ahead. Seemed to me that Miles redeemed himself in the end of the episode.
It was good episode. A good mix of action, plot development and heart. But here's the thing: Giancarlo Esposito is such a good actor and Tracy Spiridakos and JD Pardo are such bad actors that you can't help but root in some way for Neville to succeed. Seeing Charlie succeed doesn't evoke the right emotional response. Her poutiness and overall annoying characterization doesn't conjure the sensation that the good guys are winning: when its supposed to.
For me its Aaron. Up to here with that guy. He only has two expressions: sad "I'm confused why is this happening" face and confused "uh-oh I'm dying" face. Between the "(insert name here) ..can't we just go home/I deserve to know what's going on" scenes he has he's always getting his ass kicked. He's like: "this time I'm going to grow a pair and do something helpful" and then (immediately gets overwhelmed by stronger opponent)... "uh oh, no I'm dying again."
Yeah, I know what you mean. Actually, there are very few characters in this show that I can stand and/or care about. Miles, Nora, Bass and Neville. Sort of.
My only complaint is the fights, I know Eric knows how to do them correctly..after all they are awesome in Supernatural. This is the second week that Aaron has gotten beat up, wearing glasses, never loses them and never shows any marks. Come on guys don't you have make up people on this show?
And the hard to believe bit with him being in THE BOOK. IIRC, he kind of just wandered into the village where the Mathesons lived. What a small, small world ...
There've been several questionable fight aftermath moments on SPN, though, too. Maybe not as bad as RVN, but a few times, I've been, "Oh, now that's just not something you can stitch up and be okay six months down the road."
I'm guessing it's a Nano Bot that is programmed to kill anyone who isn't allowed in level 12 hence killing the guy who obviously was scanned and the Nano Bot didn't recognize his body signature lol There is no animal or human that can kill a human and leave nothing unless it's a beast that's been created with Nanites lol
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Show redeemed itself from last week's disaster with this episode.
ReplyDeleteAt first i thought it was going to be the same old story but i was pleasantly surprised by that ending!! I feel like we just found the hatch! Yay!

ReplyDeleteMy thoughts in regard to Miles:

ReplyDeleteI can stand Charlie. I don´t get what it is, but every time I see her on the screen I want to shake her. I don´t know.
ReplyDeleteLoved Miles I love emotional scenes and he had plenty of those in this episode. Nora was great.
Don´t really care for Rachel, sorry. I don´t.
Agree with everything you said.

ReplyDeleteI have never cared if Charlie lives, everyone else I have enjoyed watching.

ReplyDeleteYeah, IKR? Weird.
ReplyDeleteCan someone tell me why is Texas seems to be the only place we haven't explored yet and why is it every time it comes up they change the subject lol

ReplyDeleteMiles' facial expression is getting quite irritating. It's like he's trying too hard to look "annoyed" and apathetic with everything.
