    I have already seen the season finale and i can tell you that Shawn and Jules are a couple again. I agree with Moira. The musical wasn't going to air as a 2 hour special at first it was initially supposed to air during the season. Andy Berman said that Shawn and Juliet have musical number together and creator Steve Franks said there are some very touching moments. So i imagine that the musical was supposed to air before this weeks episode and that is why people feel like they have missed something. Shawn and Juliet are already back together, you only have to watch the episode to see that. That's not to say that next weeks episode might contain something related to Shules.

    Any word on why they pushed the musical to the Fall? Seems like a bad idea, with this info you posted that it fills in huge holes with the relationship status of two leads.

    The musical was originally going to be episodes 14 & 15.

    The network thought it was really good and wanted to use it as special programming during the holidays. We have to wait till November or December for it! Ugh!
