The sloppy writing of this season has officially reached a new peek. Can't believe they had so many interesting plotlines and had wasted almost all of them. At least the Peter Pan thing looks good.
Peter Pan, super villain? Works for me! I really was wondering where that would go in the end, kind of love the fact that every main character minus Belle and Ruby (who wasn't even in the episode?) Got on the ship at the end. Love that Rumpelstiltskin actually wants to save Henry. I'm really curious what's so special about him though, and wondering where that storylines gonna go.
Also, Mulan, Aurora and Phillip at the end was an interesting twist, glad they actually showed up again.
My question is did Neal live or is he under the sleeping spell? It would b awesome if he lived, he's finally home. A place he never thought he would return to. As for Greg and Tamara I wonder how Peter sends his messages and if they have crossed worlds before. Im assuming Henry is leverage possibly and how did bae ever get back? So many open ends, it was a positive finale tho.
My guess is that Henry is special because he comes from magic on both sides of his family, was born in a world without magic and raised by the Evil Queen. Henry has magic practically coming out of his ears and I suspect that make him potentially VERY powerful.
Pretty certain he lived. One thing that kinda annoyed me was the Emma's certainty he died. He was only shot, and then fell through the portal. I don't see how he could have gotten under a sleeping spell due to that.
Amazing finale! And it was really positive, too. It's great seeing the three primary protagonists working with the three antagonists going forward. As for season 3, I just hope the writers dont neglect what is going on in Storybrooke. Part of the problem this season was that all those characters (Granny, Red, Dr. Harper, etc) didn't get enough screentime like in season 1; it'd be a shame if it gets worse next season. I wonder how they'll do it.
A little disappointed. Seemed like too many things wrapped up too easily. A potion and Belle is back. Emma helps Regina a little and the device is stopped. It's not like it was a surprise that they would be heading to Neverland with the titles of the last two episodes and the focus on the Bae/Hook backstory. There were good moments and I'm interested in seeing them work together (Charmings/Emma/Regina/Gold/Hook) next season but it felt like a bit of a let down. Really nothing all that unexpected. (Loved the Mom and Dad moment, but at some point it feels like they need to deal with the fact that their daughter is basically their same age.)
Wondering how they will manage to hold down 3 locations next season....Neverland, Storybrooke, and Fairy Tale World. Hope they don't spread things too thin and continue to stick with the main characters (focusing on the Neverland story to start the season).
Agreed about a few things being too easy. I was a little disappointed they didn't take Belle with them, but hopefully they show us some good episodes with Belle running Storybrooke (alongside Granny maybe).
I don't see how they are going to get the Enchanted Forest scenes with Aurora and Mulan to work since both actresses are in pilots that got picked up. Maybe they'll string us along with a few episodes and save most of that story for season 4. It reminds me a bit of when Emilie de Ravin left Lost for season 5 but came back for season 6.
I like how they are setting Hook up as the next Regina searching for redemption and will be interested to see evil Peter Pan. I hope though that there is more to this "home office" business than just Peter Pan because that would make for good conflicts back in Storybrooke. But the Charmings group in Neverland should be the focus.
This is it. Once and if this show recovers from this mess, I might return. I mean, where is Ruby? The way they threated Meghan and other actors/characters is insane and disrespectful, and it feels like the writers just write as they go. What a mess.
Curious about the prophecy around Henry, Peter Pan has been looking for him for what seems like centuries, he is the key to the Dark One and is the most powerful character in terms of lineage.
Not really sure what all of that combined means....
Loved it. I loved all the Hook and Bae moments, learning more about Hook. And the mystery set up for Peter Pan. I loved how almost all the major ships got touched on a little. And Emma calling her parents mom and dad :))) I'm definitely looking forward to next season. I don't know how things will go with Meghan, Sarah Bolger, and I think Jamie Chung all getting new shows. Hopefully Eddy and Adam can explain disappearances instead ignore them and learn from this season. Because I love this show and I want it to continue to do well.
Overall awesome ep with a great setup for next season that Peter Pan is the Big Bad and it kinda fits:the terror of Neverland, but obviously had the power to cross back and forth and wanted to destroy magic in the real world so that no one would have any advantage over him and most likely being magical him/itself, he would know how to kill magical creatures. I like that they setup the "2 Mommy" dynamic between Regina/Emma/Hemry, and now have a "2 Daddy" dynamic with Hook/Rump/Baelfire..... It was a little obvious that Emma was going to combine her magic with Regina's to save the town, but it was executed well. The only weak part for me was that Greg/Tamara was able to kidnap Henry so easily from the mine without anyone seeing them or Henry protesting (which any normal victim would do)... and to get so quickly from the mines to the docks (doesn't seem likely that they are located next to each other) with no one seeing them and the gang just happens to catch up to them when they really had no idea where to look (it might've made sense if they were using magic to locate them however). The other wtf point (and perhaps they will explain this next season) was with all the plotting and planning that Greg/Tamara were doing to undo magic and torture Regina, they just all of a sudden decided to take Henry to Neverland? It seemed a bit too unrealistically quick and even if PP was monitoring looking for Henry all this time he would've noticed him by now. Small quibble that I hope they explain next season, but I loved this finale!
One thing that trumped me was that, henry was not even born yet since baelfire has not grown up yet, how is it possible the lost ones has a picture that looks like henry.
Disappointing season finale, everything felt so easy, rushed and predictable to say the least. The fact that another character is being added seems unnecessary and frankly it scares me.
She thought that he would probably end up falling far away from any chance of getting help. Plus she's been in the Enchanted Forest, so she knows that there's no hospitals there.
Was that kid in the end who held the pic of Henry, Peter Pan? I didnt think so but then the way he said the name it looked like he was talking about himself? But yes if that wasnt him than yea this version of Peter Pan who scares even Hook is kinda sounding not good. Idk but then I head Gold say something about him I think on the ship but I couldnt hear what he said. Anyways Great episode for the most part. The vines and start tearing apart storybrooke was terrible VFX. But the rest of the effects was fine. Loved now tamara and greg taking Henry and its Emma, Snow, Charming, Regina, Hook, and Gold going to Neverland to rescue him. I wonder if with Gold going to another magical land will he revert back to his Rumple form or can he keep his Gold form? And yes I knew Neal survived and he's been found by aurora and phillip and Mulan meaning he's probably in the remaining part of the Enchanted Forest. Belle's back thats good and as always Robert Carlyle is the best actor on the show and terrific performance. I think Jennifer as Emma is a little wooden but surprisingly was better in this episode. I think the writers next season have to break down the wall Jennifer has to use playing Emma cause im getting tired of her wooden performances.
They need to clarify how the magic beans work. Are the portals chosen randomly (our world, Neverland, Enchanted Forest, Wonderland, etc.) or do the beans "read" the holder's true intentions?
Overall, a nice ending to an uneven season. I'm looking forward to a season three that will have consistent character behaviour and development, intriguing (and new) story arcs, and no more cheesy lines (Like Emma's line after August's death, "we must avenge him!" or something like that).
don't really understand how the beans work. I mean Neal went to FTL last episode, and this episode Henry went to Neverland- from the same batch of beans!!!
perter effin pan is a son of a "·$!"$·"! why does he wants herry for¿? im exited about S3 and even more exited cause i get to see aurora, mulan and their prince :p how on earth he escaped the ghost¿?
I agree with everything you said, i also liked this ep, it was really good (and by the way, AWESOME performance by Robert. I really cried on all his scenes and i think him and Belle are clearly the best couple on the show, it feels natural between them and Emilie/Robert have great chemistry)
I also thought the part with the "gang" going after Greg/Tamara/Henry REALLY strange. But i think Greg and Tamara are working for Peter Pan, that's why they changed plans, when they realized Henry is the kid Peter was looking for. But... why Peter wants Henry ? Well, that's for season 3, but they managed to get me VERY curious .-.
And i would love if Peter is the 'big bad' in season 3, because Peter Pan is not good or bad, he's headstrong and maleficent, spoiled and sometimes even a little bit violent. So it would fit if an eternal kid with a great amount of power and followers did bad things to get what he wants. It actually reminds me a lot of Joffrey from Game of Thrones.
Rumpel gave Belle some kinda of mission... also, now that Snow, Charming and even Regina are gone, Belle would be the leader of Storybrooke... pehaps ? Since she's the only one who knows what happened to the Charmings and Regina.
I think next season Belle will help Storybrooke to regain its strength and Ruby is probably going to help.
Let's not forget that with magic they can find ways to see the future xD Rumpel knew about the prophecy surronding him and Henry way before Emma was born.
Apparently I'm the only one who thinks Peter Pan is NOT the Big Bad. Anyway, from what I understood, he WORKS for whoever wants Henry, he is not the same person.
But apart from that, I think they have a way out of the mess that was part of S2, they managed to not destroy Storybrooke and to create a reasonable explanation as to why everyone is getting together and going to Neverland. If they continue down on this path for S3, it could work.
How brilliant was Hook's change of heart? It was brilliantly built up through the season and we finally saw "Killian Jones' win over "Captain Hook" and Emma was the reason those walls fell apart. Awesome.
Sad to see they did not do much on Snow plotline but hopefully next season.
And yay I was right on Home Office being Neverland.
This episode really cleaned up a lot of messes, maybe not in the best way, but efficiently enough. Regina chose selfless sacrifice, and it was rewarded. Belle regained her memories, Rumple ended up owning to his fate, Hook dropped his revenge and David continued to look delicious on tight jeans, so it's all good.
So, how did Philip got back? There's a whole story there to be told, but is not pressing. It was nice they used a Mulan stand-in since they couldn't get Chung
still she shouldn't be certain. and gold believed the worse. again. seriously? he already thought belle dead for 30+ something years. didn't he learn a thing? rumple looked for his son for nearly 300 years. bae could die 30 times then but he was still looking for him. and now he believes he's dead just like that? I call bs.
Gold said about Greg and Tamara (before they all went though portal): "They're merely pawns, manipulated by forces far greater than they can conceive. They have no idea who they're truly working for. (...) Someone we all should fear."
a leader? please. in empty storybrooke? ok she will cast a spell. then whats happening in a PROTECTED and safe town? grumpy and sneezy will make a scene at granny's? maleficent will be alive *again* and throw up a couple of books? oh, yeah so many opportunities to develop a character. the writers didn't bother give belle a proper story in the whole 2nd season what make you think they'll give her a real story now? they just get her out of the way. that is.
I gave up on this show 2 episodes back, judging from the comments i'm glad I did. Its a shame season 1 was good. But this season was so cheesy, repetitive and lackluster. I don't think I will be watching S3.
Wait, so there was literally zero point to Belle being Lacey and there's zero impact on their relationship? Such a creepy relationship.
There were things I really liked though.
But it was a definite waste to have the flashbacks be about Bae and Hook. And it's really too bad they've changed the show from being about women to about how importance the dudes are.
I would have felt something on Emma calling Snow and Charming 'mom' and 'dad' if they hadn't completely neglected Emma's character. She didn't exist at all and there was so little conflict that it doesn't seem like it was much of a 'character leap' for Emma to do that, borne of emotion and acceptance.
I really enjoyed the past few episodes and felt they brought a lot of things from the beginning of the season full circle, much like they did last season.
Will be curious to see if this plot line of being able to bring people back post death, as Philip is with Aurora and Mulan, suggesting hope for Regina (and maybe Hook) to find their respected loves, will become a greater arc -Unless of course this somehow takes place before for the trio, but I don't think it would work out to well, so I'm going to hope it's all current for everyone.
YAY for Moms working together (on Mother's Day), but does Regina still have the trigger?!
Even thought I think Tamara and Greg are the Nikki and Paulo of the show, I do like that they're at least connected to something bigger, and props to the writers for calling them "Believers", as this will be apart of Bad Robot's new show's mythology for midseason "Believe". (with the difference being Believers in "Believe" are not trying to destroy advanced abilities/magic, but rather protect the one whom has them!)
Anyways working a season review should be done a few days!
Actually, besides miss Ory's Pilot is now picked up to series, it really was full circled writing as many characters who appeared in the beginning (and where sprinkled through out) all came together again at the end. I agree that in M.O.'s case the addition to series regular was ultimately a bad one, since she obviously we'll have to be reocccuring or special guessed star now, but I do think how Ruby was used really paralleled and strung things together in relation to Regina (reunited mother/,mother death), Gold (beasts, love, red objects leading to--->) and Whale presenting science verses magic debates--->Tamara & Greg "Believers" all tying into stories relating to Neverland.
It was way below season 1 finale and nothing really shocking happened, but it was an okay hour anyway. What I did like was that it did set up for a remarkable season 3 with the core characters away from storybrooke and neal in fantasy world. I also liked the neverland twist in the end. Also, this was the episode I liked Hook the most. He was just there for me so far, but I was really able to enjoy his arc today with his connection to Bae. Even though having him on the same boat as Gold is a stretch
I agree with lady enolras. I think Belle will be proeminent in the episodes she is featured in since she is basically the only main character left in strorybrooke (ruby will probably not be there next season at all since she is the main female character in Intelligence). I don't think she will show up too often, but probably will have stuff to do when she does show up
More not knowing what to do with her since her unavailability would have been for less than 2 weeks. I guess having a super powered helper would have made it too easy and meant they didn't have to go to Rumple for shit. Like Snow wouldn't have had to share feelings with Regina because Red could have just smelled Regina out.
You can't tell me you don't think the quality of the show has done way down from the first season? I have tried to stick with the show for so long but it bores me to death now. Which is a shame since I watched it religiously in the first season.
stuff? what a great reason to separate rumbelle again. and put an interesting character in a freezer. again. while the main cast will have a REAL adventure she will be doing stuff. in a middle of nowhere. with those a few supporting cast who didn't get another job and was unfortunate enough to stuck with this show. although idk who left. it seems everyone got a proper job since in this show they use characters like a piece of furniture. I have no reason to believe they will improve since I see ppl pleased with this turn of events. I don't get your excitement really. they didn't gave any reason to.
1. Even though I think it would be better "if" Mulan, Aurora and Philip are in their "current" time (giving arcs for Regina and Hook possibilities to find Daniel and Milah again, as Philip would be "resurrected" in some way), I could also that this could be the trio's past, making Neverland a confusing time warp of time fold overlaps...
2. Given Believe is midseason, the actress might have time to do both...they could easily push spread Bae's arc out...
3. It's possible that her character on Believe is very short-lived.
But consider the fact that Peter Pan's been looking for Henry since Henry's father was a kid. And I think the Lost Boys may have said in the flashback that they've been looking for the right boy for a century. So it may not have to do with Henry bein the product of light magic and dark magic; it may have to do with some kind of prophecy, possibly tied up with the one about Henry being Rumplestiltskin's undoing.
DITTO. And the charming family is getting repetitive. The characters are loosing their "Charm". I hope next season gets better this season wasn't that good imho.
It may not be a prophecy like everybody thinks: maybe Neverland is like a timeless place, so Henry is already alive according to Neverland when his father Bae comes there as a kid!
The fact he said so? Peter Pan was the leader of the boys who went to Hook's ship looking for Bae. How do I know that? At the very end of the episode, when he delivers Bae to the lost boys, he asks if that is the one boy He was looking for and they show a piece of paper with Henry's drawing on it. Then he says "don't worry, we will find him. Peter Pan never fails" (or something like that). This means he is not the one that wants Henry, he is working for someone who does.
I love the concept of next season now but will miss some of the characters that were left behind. Overall, I loved this episode and I love seeing the six of them working together.

You're a dick for the 'Oh, what a loss! You going would definitely ruin this show!!' dickish attitude which was uncalled for. I don't think my opinion is fact, nor would I expect the writers to take up my opinions onto the show.
Its an opinion, I would never expect you to like all of the shows I like. There are plenty of other shows with an ensemble cast (which I don't think OUAT has the biggest but whatever). I just think they use the same plot devises over and over and the quality of the show has gone down, but if you still enjoy it as much as you did season 1, more power to ya.
You might be right (I actually hope you are), but from what I remember Adam & Eddie said we would see Peter Pan, but wouldn't get to know him properly before S3. Saying "Peter Pan never fails" is not conclusive, granted, but saying Rumple knows more about Peter Pan than Greg and Tamara also isn't.
Anyway, we'll have to wait and see, but I'm still betting on a bigger Big Bad than Peter Pan, cause they seem obsessed with gigantic evil characters.
a tiny bit? hell no. if I wanted to count all their ''flaws'' I won't even know where to start. and the ''awesome finale'' was nothing but a mess of angst, bs and fanservice. and angst, bs and fanservice again and again.
So, after yelling in here and voicing your opinion rather aggressively, what should happen next? This show to be cancelled? What? Seriously? I'm dying to know the outcome of you getting angry in here.
I'm sorry are you trying to shut me up just because you liked episode or what? well sorry I happen to like some sense in the series and logic. something ouat have serious problem with. not flaws as you put it. and I have my opinion and right to voice it just like you you know.
I missed the last few minutes (it froze when Gold and Belle were saying goodbye before he got on the ship), could anyone give me a quick recap of the ending? Thanks.
It wasn't as awesome as season 1's finale, but it was still entertaining.
The Good:
- Regina finally choosing to "do the right thing" by trying to slow down the town's destruction.
- All the magic & special effects were cool. Regina & Emma's magic "rays" on the black diamond were cool. And hey, blood globe makes a comeback!
- Charmings & Regina working together, and the group getting help at the end from Rumple too!
- Long missing peeps finally get a little screentime (Reggie/cricket, the dwarves, Granny!).
The Bad:
- Tamara & Owen/Greg are NOT dead yet! And pretty much all things Tamara & Greg/Owen. - A small group of people on a mysterious, dangerous island? I really hope this isn't going to be Lost 2.0. The story has potential as long as it's not a redux.
Unsure:
- The "home office" is Peter Pan & his Lost Boys? WTH? Not sure if this is good/bad. We'll see. It certainly is better than some random human organization in the Storybrooke/our/"regular" world, I guess. This has potential. I hope it makes for a great Season 3 and isn't as uneven Season 2 has been.
Question: - I was wondering though. When Rumple used the blood globe and it pointed to Neverland, is it really pointing to just Henry, or is Neil in there too? Last time Rumple used the blood globe, it pointed to where Neil was. Is the blood globe psychic and able to determine who you wanted to find when you drop your blood on it? I hope this is addressed next season.
On second thought, I'm not so sure about my previous comment. Neverland may be a land outside of time, so the time that Henry's father Bae arrived in Neverland and the time that Henry is brought there may be simultaneous.
inhighheels It looks like I am right. Look at this: https://twitter.com/AdamHorowitzLA/status/335084642451480576
On twitter, somebody asked Adam Horowitz: "OUAT finale question: was the boy at the end Peter Pan or was the other person they were talking about? #Neverland", and Adam replied "talking ABOUT pan. We haven't seen him yet."
What bothers me about a lot of people like you is that you offer your criticism like it's the definite truth, like it's an opinion that would be a shame if the writers wouldn't take up on. While you keep criticizing, you ignore the fact that OUAT is one of the most difficult show to write since it involves a large ensemble of case and many numbers of storylines the writers have to keep up on. So, I am only a dick, because you're a dick.
That was an AMAZING final I don't know if I loved it more than last season (I have to see that one again to compare) but it was awesome!
the Good stuff
-Rumple learning about Nealfire : wow Robert C. was perfect in that scene. I love that Belle is back. The Rumbelle scenes were so cute and I don't mind about the separation since we know they're endgame more (good) draaaaama is always interesting :) I just hope they'll build Belle's character next season by giving her an arc that is not entirely about her relationship with Rumple. That would be great to see her grow as her own.
-Hook really grow on me in the last eps of the season. I quite like him now but I hope they don't do all those changes for him just to push the Emma/Hook relationship.....
-All the Charmings/Regina, Snow/Regina, Henry/Regina and Emma/Regina scenes were absolutly perfect! That was seriously missing this season (especially for the last one) but the final fixes that in a beautiful way :) I can't wait to see all of them working together in season 3! I hope too that Regina will not turn evil again after what happened in the final because that would make no sense.
-Neal with Aurora, Philip and Mulan! Still not on the Neil/Emma train but I'm glad he's ok! (well at least will be ok)
- Greg and Tamara are just pawns ---> they won't last long :p
-Hook/Bae
The stuff I'm not sure about yet
- Peter Pan being a big bad?! That's super exciting and I can't wait to learn more but I hope they will bring that story up in a smart way :)
-The "prophecy" about Henry and Neverland bieng Home Office
The bad stuff
4 months without OUAT :( This season has its flaws but damn I'm still really obsessed with this show!...the wait will be terrible but I have a good feeling about season 3 (because a lot of good shows had crappy second seasons : Lost, Desperate Housewive...)
Ps : it was a long post I hope my english wasn't that terrible :p
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I loved it! So Tamara and Greg are working for what seems like creepy pedophile Peter Pan?
ReplyDeleteYay, Belle's back! And I love that the Charmings, Regina, and Hook are all working together to save Henry. And what does Peter want with him?
AND ALKD;JF;LAKSDJF;LAKJD AT EMMA CALLING THEM MOM AND DAD. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR THIS. I'M SO HAPPY.
Can't wait for season three!
Not much of a cliffhanger was it.. :p
ReplyDeleteThe sloppy writing of this season has officially reached a new peek. Can't believe they had so many interesting plotlines and had wasted almost all of them. At least the Peter Pan thing looks good.
ReplyDeleteSince Henry would be the undoing of rumple, I'm assuming so Peter pan can be 'the dark one'.
ReplyDeletePeter Pan, super villain? Works for me! BEST EPISODE YET! KILL TAMARA AND GREG!
ReplyDeleteI hope there will be some SwanQueen action in season three! ;)

ReplyDeleteOne thing that trumped me was that, henry was not even born yet since baelfire has not grown up yet, how is it possible the lost ones has a picture that looks like henry.
ReplyDeleteDisappointing season finale, everything felt so easy, rushed and predictable to say the least. The fact that another character is being added seems unnecessary and frankly it scares me.
ReplyDeleteAwesome season finale!! Can't wait until Season 3! :D
ReplyDelete#goingtoNeverland
She thought that he would probably end up falling far away from any chance of getting help. Plus she's been in the Enchanted Forest, so she knows that there's no hospitals there.
ReplyDeleteNot just that Henry wasn't born yet - Emma wasn't either.
ReplyDeleteWas that kid in the end who held the pic of Henry, Peter Pan?
ReplyDeleteThey need to clarify how the magic beans work. Are the portals chosen randomly (our world, Neverland, Enchanted Forest, Wonderland, etc.) or do the beans "read" the holder's true intentions?
ReplyDeleteOverall, a nice ending to an uneven season. I'm looking forward to a season three that will have consistent character behaviour and development, intriguing (and new) story arcs, and no more cheesy lines (Like Emma's line after August's death, "we must avenge him!" or something like that).
A bit disappointed not the best finale!!!!
ReplyDeletedon't really understand how the beans work. I mean Neal went to FTL last episode, and this episode Henry went to Neverland- from the same batch of beans!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a prophecy. It can be as vague or specific as it wants to be.
ReplyDeletePage 47 in Alias has a picture of Sydney Bristow 500 years before she was born. It happens. :P
perter effin pan is a son of a "·$!"$·"! why does he wants herry for¿? im exited about S3 and even more exited cause i get to see aurora, mulan and their prince :p how on earth he escaped the ghost¿?
ReplyDeleteI hope not ! nobody should be a dark one after Rumpel ^^
ReplyDeleteagreed with that
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything you said, i also liked this ep, it was really good (and by the way, AWESOME performance by Robert. I really cried on all his scenes and i think him and Belle are clearly the best couple on the show, it feels natural between them and Emilie/Robert have great chemistry)
ReplyDeleteI also thought the part with the "gang" going after Greg/Tamara/Henry REALLY strange.
ReplyDeleteI think next season Belle will help Storybrooke to regain its strength and Ruby is probably going to help.
Let's not forget that with magic they can find ways to see the future xD Rumpel knew about the prophecy surronding him and Henry way before Emma was born.
ReplyDeleteNo, Peter is not the one who wants Henry. He works for someone who wants Henry and we still don't know what or who this someone is.
ReplyDeleteApparently I'm the only one who thinks Peter Pan is NOT the Big Bad. Anyway, from what I understood, he WORKS for whoever wants Henry, he is not the same person.
ReplyDeleteBut apart from that, I think they have a way out of the mess that was part of S2, they managed to not destroy Storybrooke and to create a reasonable explanation as to why everyone is getting together and going to Neverland. If they continue down on this path for S3, it could work.
How brilliant was Hook's change of heart? It was brilliantly built up through the season and we finally saw "Killian Jones' win over "Captain Hook" and Emma was the reason those walls fell apart. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteSad to see they did not do much on Snow plotline but hopefully next season.
And yay I was right on Home Office being Neverland.
I didn't think it was an awesome episode ! It was an ok episode !
ReplyDeleteI'm disappointed by OUAT this season !
We will see Next Year
Yeah, if he didn't get help like right away he was a goner, luckily the threesome was just strolling there.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the Baelfire storyline doesn't need to be addressed soon actually, so they can push it further into the show's timeline.
ReplyDeleteProphecy!
ReplyDeleteThis episode really cleaned up a lot of messes, maybe not in the best way, but efficiently enough. Regina chose selfless sacrifice, and it was rewarded. Belle regained her memories, Rumple ended up owning to his fate, Hook dropped his revenge and David continued to look delicious on tight jeans, so it's all good.
ReplyDeleteSo, how did Philip got back? There's a whole story there to be told, but is not pressing. It was nice they used a Mulan stand-in since they couldn't get Chung
i think what happened to Aurora and Mulan between 2x09 and 2x22 will be explored in season 3
ReplyDeletestill she shouldn't be certain. and gold believed the worse. again. seriously? he already thought belle dead for 30+ something years. didn't he learn a thing? rumple looked for his son for nearly 300 years. bae could die 30 times then but he was still looking for him. and now he believes he's dead just like that? I call bs.
ReplyDeleteGold said about Greg and Tamara (before they all went though portal): "They're merely pawns, manipulated by forces far greater than they can conceive. They have no idea who they're truly working for. (...) Someone we all should fear."
ReplyDeletea leader? please. in empty storybrooke? ok she will cast a spell. then whats happening in a PROTECTED and safe town? grumpy and sneezy will make a scene at granny's? maleficent will be alive *again* and throw up a couple of books? oh, yeah so many opportunities to develop a character. the writers didn't bother give belle a proper story in the whole 2nd season what make you think they'll give her a real story now? they just get her out of the way. that is.
ReplyDeleteI gave up on this show 2 episodes back, judging from the comments i'm glad I did. Its a shame season 1 was good. But this season was so cheesy, repetitive and lackluster. I don't think I will be watching S3.
ReplyDeleteWait, so there was literally zero point to Belle being Lacey and there's zero impact on their relationship? Such a creepy relationship.
ReplyDeleteThere were things I really liked though.
Oh, what a loss! You going would definitely ruin this show!!
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you're hearing what you want to hear. Because based on the comments, quite a lot liked this episode.
Yeah, but that was only for a few days. She was missing for most of the back half of season 2,.
ReplyDeleteAnd welcome to the new oceanic 6! :p
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the past few episodes and felt they brought a lot of things from the beginning of the season full circle, much like they did last season.
ReplyDeleteIt was way below season 1 finale and nothing really shocking happened, but it was an okay hour anyway.
ReplyDeleteYep I agree. But will they recast Mulan?
ReplyDeleteI think that is the whole point. It opens a point to another dimension but it is unpredictable where you end up.
ReplyDeletelol i kinda liked this one! maybe i have to give 3rd season a shot if only for AURORA, MULAN AND PHILIP!!! :3
ReplyDeleteI agree with lady enolras. I think Belle will be proeminent in the episodes she is featured in since she is basically the only main character left in strorybrooke (ruby will probably not be there next season at all since she is the main female character in Intelligence). I don't think she will show up too often, but probably will have stuff to do when she does show up
ReplyDeleteI think they will have to recast Mulan to be honest.
ReplyDeleteAlso surprised with the Peter Pan thing. But maybe its a red hering?
ReplyDeleteI think it was a combination of her unavailability and them now knowing what to do with her to be honest.
ReplyDeleteMore not knowing what to do with her since her unavailability would have been for less than 2 weeks. I guess having a super powered helper would have made it too easy and meant they didn't have to go to Rumple for shit. Like Snow wouldn't have had to share feelings with Regina because Red could have just smelled Regina out.
ReplyDeleteAnd Aurora.
ReplyDeleteWow, you sound like a dick.
ReplyDeleteYou can't tell me you don't think the quality of the show has done way down from the first season? I have tried to stick with the show for so long but it bores me to death now. Which is a shame since I watched it religiously in the first season.
Why would they need to recast Aurora? Is the actress also busy?
ReplyDeletestuff? what a great reason to separate rumbelle again. and put an interesting character in a freezer. again. while the main cast will have a REAL adventure she will be doing stuff. in a middle of nowhere. with those a few supporting cast who didn't get another job and was unfortunate enough to stuck with this show. although idk who left. it seems everyone got a proper job since in this show they use characters like a piece of furniture. I have no reason to believe they will improve since I see ppl pleased with this turn of events. I don't get your excitement really. they didn't gave any reason to.
ReplyDeleteSarah Bolger's pilot was picked up as well.
ReplyDelete^THIS! :)
ReplyDeletei have to ask...
ReplyDeleteWHERE THE FUCK IS RUBY?
she really disapeared.
Well I'm torn...
ReplyDelete1.
All fair points. I had never thought that they could be in the past! That would be an amazing twist!!
ReplyDeleteDidn't know, sorry. Which one is she in?
ReplyDeleteMixology, I think it's called.
ReplyDeleteDidn't know she was on it. Thanks
ReplyDeleteJust like last year.... quick wrap up resolutions, easy fixes, plot hole for the things that didn't make sense etc etc etc...
ReplyDeleteAlso it's official: everyone of the main characters on this show is either bipolar or schizophrenic. (I might execlude Hook ad Ruby from this....)
Over all an OK episode.
What makes you say that?
ReplyDeleteI wish they somehow managed to make the last image of the season the clock tower, just like the end of the pilot and the end of the season 1 finale.
ReplyDeleteBut consider the fact that Peter Pan's been looking for Henry since Henry's father was a kid.
ReplyDeleteDITTO. And the charming family is getting repetitive. The characters are loosing their "Charm". I hope next season gets better this season wasn't that good imho.
ReplyDeleteIt may not be a prophecy like everybody thinks: maybe Neverland is like a timeless place, so Henry is already alive according to Neverland when his father Bae comes there as a kid!
ReplyDeleteWhat makes you say that Peter Pan works for someone else?
ReplyDeleteThe fact he said so?
ReplyDeletePeter Pan was the leader of the boys who went to Hook's ship looking for Bae.
It was funny how it was supposedly Mulan but not Jamie Chang..
ReplyDeleteI love the concept of next season now but will miss some of the characters that were left behind. Overall, I loved this episode and I love seeing the six of them working together.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it also by ABC studios though? In her case I think it won't be a problem
ReplyDeleteI think they will do their best to adapt since both are ABC shows.
ReplyDeleteI thought one of the Lost Boys specifically said that "Peter Pan never fails"? I believe that it's Peter Pan. I agree with Klutzy Girl.
ReplyDeleteFunny, after an awesome finale, you guys still manage to find a tiny bit flaw that you find really and greatly annoying.
ReplyDeleteNothing shocking? If the revelation that Peter Pan is a new villain is not shocking to you, then, I don't know what is...
ReplyDeleteyeah i figured it wasn't the actress but maybe she couldn't be there filming? lol
ReplyDeleteShe probably filmed Believe's pilot at the same time.
ReplyDeleteOh i didn't know she was doing another show!
ReplyDeleteThe fact he said so?
ReplyDeletePeter Pan was the leader of the boys who went to Hook's ship looking for Bae.
You're a dick for the 'Oh, what a loss! You going would definitely ruin this show!!' dickish attitude which was uncalled for. I don't think my opinion is fact, nor would I expect the writers to take up my opinions onto the show.
ReplyDeleteIts an opinion, I would never expect you to like all of the shows I like. There are plenty of other shows with an ensemble cast (which I don't think OUAT has the biggest but whatever). I just think they use the same plot devises over and over and the quality of the show has gone down, but if you still enjoy it as much as you did season 1, more power to ya.
Oh and if you are going to bring the whole ensemble cast means poorer quality debate, watch Game Of Thrones for an example.
ReplyDeleteYou might be right (I actually hope you are), but from what I remember Adam & Eddie said we would see Peter Pan, but wouldn't get to know him properly before S3.
ReplyDeleteSaying "Peter Pan never fails" is not conclusive, granted, but saying Rumple knows more about Peter Pan than Greg and Tamara also isn't.
Anyway, we'll have to wait and see, but I'm still betting on a bigger Big Bad than Peter Pan, cause they seem obsessed with gigantic evil characters.
Well yeah I guess. That part was "shocking". But character wise I meant
ReplyDeletea tiny bit? hell no. if I wanted to count all their ''flaws'' I won't even know where to start. and the ''awesome finale'' was nothing but a mess of angst, bs and fanservice. and angst, bs and fanservice again and again.
ReplyDeleteSo, after yelling in here and voicing your opinion rather aggressively, what should happen next? This show to be cancelled? What? Seriously? I'm dying to know the outcome of you getting angry in here.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry are you trying to shut me up just because you liked episode or what? well sorry I happen to like some sense in the series and logic. something ouat have serious problem with. not flaws as you put it. and I have my opinion and right to voice it just like you you know.
ReplyDeleteI missed the last few minutes (it froze when Gold and Belle were saying goodbye before he got on the ship), could anyone give me a quick recap of the ending? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteSeriously. I would've preferred to see more of Red/Ruby than most of the new/recurring characters the show focused on.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't as awesome as season 1's finale, but it was still entertaining.
ReplyDeleteThe Good:
Question:
- I was wondering though. When Rumple used the blood globe and it pointed to Neverland, is it really pointing to just Henry, or is Neil in there too? Last time Rumple used the blood globe, it pointed to where Neil was. Is the blood globe psychic and able to determine who you wanted to
find when you drop your blood on it? I hope this is addressed next season.
On second thought, I'm not so sure about my previous comment. Neverland may be a land outside of time, so the time that Henry's father Bae arrived in Neverland and the time that Henry is brought there may be simultaneous.
ReplyDeleteinhighheels It looks like I am right. Look at this: https://twitter.com/AdamHorowitzLA/status/335084642451480576
ReplyDeleteOn twitter, somebody asked Adam Horowitz: "OUAT finale question: was the boy at the end Peter Pan or was the other person they were talking about? #Neverland", and Adam replied "talking ABOUT pan. We haven't seen him yet."
Ugh. Barely better than awful. Not watching this next year....
ReplyDeleteDepends on where they're filming, schedules of what and when they're filming, that sort of thing.
ReplyDeleteWhat bothers me about a lot of people like you is that you offer your criticism like it's the definite truth, like it's an opinion that would be a shame if the writers wouldn't take up on. While you keep criticizing, you ignore the fact that OUAT is one of the most difficult show to write since it involves a large ensemble of case and many numbers of storylines the writers have to keep up on. So, I am only a dick, because you're a dick.
ReplyDeleteThat was an AMAZING final I don't know if I loved it more than last season (I have to see that one again to compare) but it was awesome!
ReplyDeletethe Good stuff
