  1. It's going to be a boring week this week. There's only 8 shows that I watch that have new episodes this week and only 3 of those I really care about. Mad Men, Revolution and Hannibal. On a side note has anybody else who's been watching Mad Men this year found it incredibly boring so far? I feel like there's only been 2 really great episodes this season with the rest being kinda eh.

  5. "Damn holidays"!? You can't have one Sunday without Game of Thrones to remember the soldiers who lost their lives? I would understand your frustration if it were Christmas or something where people haven't lost their lives but this is a day to remember people who have served their country and died for it. Show some respect.

  6. Sprint Cup; Coca-Cola 600 and The French Open

  7. It's not actually the holiday's fault. HBO has to air that Liberace movie before the end of May for it to be eligible for award season and this is the last Sunday in May to do so.

  12. calm the heck down there. what I said has nothing to do with lack of respect for the soldiers. I have nothing but respect where that is concerned. my enjoying a tv show on a holiday weekend is no different than someone enjoying grilling out (as most do on this holiday) the whole point is to appreciate what we are able to do because of their sacrafice.. ie life should go on as normal.. now, as someone pointed out, this has more to do with the liberace thing than the holiday.. but in general , i dont understand why they dont continue things as normal ESPECIALLY on this holiday...

and how can you use christmas as an example of an unimportant holiday? i think there are probably more people in the world that would be offended by that than by what i said...

anyway.. thats my two cents. no disrespect meant .. just wanted to clear it up that i wasnt trying to be disrespectful to anyone ...

and in all honesty, im glad so many people apparently have so much to look forward to in life that tv shows dont matter to them.. but for some of us, at least at times... it may be the only thing that gets us through week to week, gives us something to look forward to... been there myself before, pathetic as it might be, it is true.

  14. Nicely said Rick! Your right about Christmas and having shows that we look forward to. At times i feel like we get penalized even more because its a holiday, not everyone observes them, but it often leaves us with nothing worth while to watch..

  18. I'm watching Mad Men and there are things a really like such as the season 6 opener and the last episode, some of Don's dynamics with Shaw, Bobbie Benson, Don going w/ Bobbie to Planet of the Apes after MLK was killed and riots are happening, and even how Don is finally soul searching, but I do agree they're taking their sweet time with where ever the season is going...

  21. Continuum, and I'll try to start a little Arrested Development marathon if I can and a few eps from Band of Brothers as I do sometimes for Memorial Day

  22. Because Christmas is nothing more than invented by every store and media outlet out there and pumped up to the max. Nothing special happened on that day. We celebrate the birth of Jesus christ or something if I remember correctly, but he was born in the fall, or at least not in the Christmas. And the fact is that Christmas isn't a good time for most people. I myself hate Christmas more than any other months during the year, and yet we all have to put on fake smiles, buy lots of presents and make ourselves and others believe that this was a good year when in fact, if we look at the evidence, most people can't honestly say they are fine even though they say they are. I'm going into all psychology here, but what I'm saying is, these networks have to pay their respects as well on this day. In fact, I was surprised A&E even announced The Glades and Longmire to premiere on Memorial Day, but that's what happens sometimes and it must be appropriately themed episodes in that case. I myself suffer with multiple disorders, and I live daily with what you described as the madness of suffering while waiting for my TV shows, but that's why we have all the previous episodes out there, all the repeats.

I didn't mean to bark at you, I'm sorry if that's what happened, I had a bad day yesterday. It's just that there's a fine line between entertainment and human lives, and I don't want to see someone saying "Fuck the dead, I don't give a shit about them, I just wanna watch my Game of Thrones!" because they are people like you and me.
