Poll: Favorite Scene from Arrow - 1.21 - The Undertaking

May 4, 2013

Let's face it. This Arrow episode was filled with memorable scenes. Since I have no idea what people will vote for and I'm too lazy to narrow choices down today, I'm breaking my rule of not having too many choices. So…here is almost everything that happened in The Undertaking. You still only get one vote though; happy voting!

  1. This episode had so many scenes that stood out to me that I am going to have to make my choice based on process of elimination. First thing thrown out is everything that had to do with Oliver and Laurel's relationship. Those scenes dragged down the pace and quite frankly seemed out of place, especially in the hospital. Next goes anything not directly tied to the mytharc except the Walter rescue so say goodbye any present day miscellaneous chat. Sorry Felicity and Diggle scene. I did like you. That leaves the flashbacks, present Malcolm spouting, and Walter's rescue. While I think Walter's rescue was incredibly scripted and directed, I'm going with flashback (since they aren't on the island) which leads to 2 choices. Malcolm proposing they level the Glades and Robert confessing Malcolm's plan to Moira. Since I was pleasantly surprised that the Queen's opposed Malcolm's plan right from the start, it gets my vote. All in all, this was an excellent episode.

  2. I chose Oliver telling Felicity Walter was still alive because I thought Stephen nailed that scene looking volunerable sitting on the floor.

Next up was Frank and the bomb because I didn't expect him to be the one to betray Robert.

  3. Those scenes also explained why the yacht was in China's sea, something I was wondering about since the beginning of the show.

I liked the Malcolm/Oliver stare down. Oliver knows part of what Malcolm is and the look in Malcolm's eyes said he's suspicious of Oliver. Very classic scene.

  5. I loved how Oliver's face changed from pure hatred to a numb expression in that scene and how both of them knew who really was standing next to them but were pretending they didn't.

  6. Loved the entire episode as a whole, honestly cannot pick one

  7. I had a hard time picking in this episode too. Definitely one of the best of Arrow to date.

  8. It's weird to see the scene of Oliver and Laurel on top. There was good actibg there but it wasn't one of my favorites.

  9. I'm pleasantly surprised at Laurel/Ollie scenes are voted consistently first and second, I didn't know that there were so many Laurel/Ollie shippers out there.

  10. Oliver tells Laurel he still loves her. Loved it.

Episode was probably 4th best of the season for me.

Lol 'Oliver rescues Walter by taking out everyone' There's not really another way to put it is there..

  11. Which episodes are in your top 3?

  12. Top 5:
    1. Dead to Rights
    2. Dodger
    3. Home Invasion.

    4. The Undertaking
    5. Year's End

Although it's highly likely that they all may move down two places after eps 22 and 23 air.

  13. Damaged was the episode that made me love this show, so I have to rank it first.

Dead to Rights is my 2nd favorite because of Tommy finding out, and Dodger is the third mostly because it was the first episode with Felicity working as part of the Arrow team, and I liked Dodger himself. He's one of the villains I hope to see return.

  14. In the lower part of the top 10 along with The Odyssey, maybe I'll like it more after a rewatch..

  15. Fair enough. The Odyssey is somewhere in my top 10. Because they've done so many great ones, it's difficult.
