Don't mean to be a downer but it's looking like Happy Endings won't have one, on ABC at least.

Hoping someone else will pick it up. I think TBS expressed interest?
ReplyDeleteHopefully USA picks it up for the fans!
ReplyDeleteAnd the blood a
USA did.
ReplyDeleteNo!!!! Please let it be picked up by someone else.
ReplyDeleteThis is far and away the funniest show on TV I hope it gets a happy ending of some kind.
ReplyDeleteAh, that's right, thank you.
ReplyDeleteShocker...
ReplyDeletePlease USA, pick up this show!
OH HELL NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ABC, what the f*** is wrong with u?
ReplyDeleteNot surprised but USA should pick it up! It's such a funny show.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise...
ReplyDeleteThere's no place for it in ABC with its ratings. This was expected. The only question is if it will continue to live elsewhere.
ReplyDeletewell it's not ABC's fault, it scored a 0.6 on a Friday, that's 4 tenths lower than Supernatural and TVD on The CW.
ReplyDeletelets guess, I'm gonna go with ..... The Family Tools?
ReplyDeletebut still, it should not get cancelled. they should move it to another day
ReplyDeletethey tried it on Tuesdays and it was scoring low 1's. On Wednesdays last season without Modern Family it was doing mid 1's. They've given it many chances.
ReplyDeleteNope, CSI: NY!
ReplyDeleteCome on USA! Time to pick it up!
ReplyDeleteUSA! USA! Pick it up, USA!
ReplyDeletethey want to cancel happy endings and and put the stupidest crap on like the family tools.. I wanted to gouge my eyeballs out on the 1st ep...
ReplyDeleteIt went down to 1.7 on Wednesdays without MF, but it was still more high 1's than mid 1's.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say they've given it many chances. They started it so late in October and never ran more than three consecutive episodes before pulling it. They've done everything they can to air all the episodes, yes, but that is definitely not the same as giving the show many chances and was more about getting the show close to syndication in case another network was interested. Nobody expected it to do well on Sundays at 10 PM or Fridays.
it will be better of an cable ;)
ReplyDeletewhat do you mean pulling it? ABC aired 13 episodes of Season 3 on Tuesdays/Sundays before they pulled it to Fridays. Also the first season did terribly yet ABC still renewed it so yes they have given it many chances: renewal from first season with terrible ratings / placing behind Modern Family / Tuesdays / Sundays / Fridays
ReplyDeleteUSA or TBS, please please please pick this gem of a show up!!! I don't want to imagine a world without it!
ReplyDeleteI mean taking it off the air for two months before pulling it from Tuesdays (and shipping it off to Fridays). The first season didn't do terribly, but it wasn't doing well either. They treated the show well for season 2, but stop pretending that they did a service to the show by placing it on Sundays and Fridays. Airing a show in NINE different half hour slots over the course of two and a half seasons is not giving it many chances, it's dumping the show wherever you can to get all the episodes to air.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, that will be cancelled too.
ReplyDeleteI know I had trouble keeping up with its timeslot myself. I like the show, it just wasn't part of my set of shows I watch religiously, so when they moved it around I figured I'd just catch up later.
ReplyDeleteUSA better hurry up, I'm gaining on it.
ReplyDeleteno excuse, Scrubs was switched countless times on NBC and still managed 7 seasons on NBC + 2 additional on ABC.
ReplyDeleteScrubs only ever changed nights during the same season once on NBC during season 3. Sliding from 9 PM to 9:30 PM isn't as big a deal as moving from 9 PM Tuesday to 10 PM Sunday to 9 PM and 9:30 PM Tuesday to 8 PM and 8:30 PM Friday. And there's a huge difference between plugging a 9-year old veteran into different slots in ABC and yanking around a show still trying to build its audience.
ReplyDeleteScrubs was a hit right out of the gate. Happy Endings was not. The point is that if ABC had done a better job with scheduling, Happy Endings would have stayed moderately successful instead of dying in CW numbers.
fingers crossed for USA to save the day here....
