NBC just started started notifying series that are getting cancelled. I hear among them is midseason drama Deception.

    It's weird how whenever I see "Cancelled" on this website, I see THAT word first, and then get filled with dread, then read the name of the show cancelled. I really have to stop doing that. I kind of feel sorry for anyone who has to post "Nikita - Cancelled" if that ever happens.

    No surprise at all here. I really enjoyed the pilot but never watched it again because it became clear that it was done.

    It's such a terrible feeling to see the name of a show that you love with the brutal headline " - Cancelled". Well, I guess there's no point toying with words and saying "the show is laid to rest permanently", but still.


    I'm not saying that for Deception. I haven't seen it (love Meagan Good though, but the critics haven't been positive and I don't have that much time on my hands), but it seems like the NBC announcements are starting and I don't know what I'd do if I see something along the lines of "Community - Cancelled", "Hannibal - Cancelled" or "Go On - Cancelled". I'm hoping all three make it out of this, but realistically, right now, I would settle for 2/3 (with Community among the two survivors).

    I did the same thing with Hannibal.


    I really enjoy it, but after they preempted the episode I decided to archive the rest of the season/ series and watch it in the Summer once I know the show's fate.

    Also confirmed as dead are high-concept drama pilot Bloodline and comic book adaptation The Sixth Gun,
    which started off strong but lost steam as the pilot season progressed.
    These are all pilots that have been cut, with the rest remaining in
    contention for now.

    I was even more chicken than you were, since I didn't even touch the pilot, even though it really sounds like the type of show I love (as bad as it sounds to say that about a serial killer show :P)
