Community - NBC Close to renewing for a 5th Season

Pop pop, y'all: NBC is very close to ordering a fifth season of Community, Hollywood insiders tell Vulture. NBC isn't commenting, and there's still discussion going on about the exact number of episodes (though it should be at least 13). But after the show's solid Nielsen performance last night — it tied American Idol among adults under 35 — NBC brass decided it made sense to return to Greendale for at least one more semester. It's not quite a done deal yet, but things are looking pretty darn good.

    Oh thank god I need some good TV news! Yeah this season hasn't been as good as the previous but it is still a solid show that makes me laugh and I would like the story to wrap up for all the characters.

    after the bummer that is the Go On cancellation, a Community pick up (even for a chance to adequately close the series) would be a good thing

    Community can survive everything! At this rate it will get its 6th season and a movie!
    Now, this will be NBC comedy renewal, The New Normal won't make it to a 2nd season (most likely, if it did it would be a shock as big, if not bigger, as The Carrie Diaries getting renewed)

    Good. I just hope next season's finale is better than this one's. I can't believe they had 90 percent of the finale take place in Jeff's head.

    That could have been time better spent resolving the Jeff/Annie relationship, Chang's position in the group, and the enemy Dean's plot against Greendale.
