Contrary to rumors, Castle has only been renewed for one and not two more seasons.

    As long as it is coming back, I don't care..can't watch but one season at a time anyway. ;) Just need more of Castle and Beckett...best couple on TV.

    Your contract can be for two years or more but that doesn't me that the show will be renewed for two as well. They are mutually exclusive.

    I'm sad that they did'nt renew it for two more seasons but that's okay, well definitely have a season 7 because stana said that's the season that she wanted to have castle babies. :)

    From what we are seeing this a good news and a bad news. Good because there will be a new season and bad because when they have been planing 2 season renewal and they renew for 1 means that they are planing (or expecting) the season 6 to be it's last.

    Castles done well in ratings. It's going to get renewed again. But ABC doesn't want to commit. It's been around for a while so gets expensive.

    The ABC website says that Castle's normal 12 million viewers an episode in the past dropped a bit during season 5, which is why it was one season only. They also hinted that the show hopes that breaking them apart will get viewers back if only to keep them hoping they will get back together again. I hope they are not planning that. It would so reck the show. They need to get Kate to wise up and want to be a part in this relationship.
