Don't believe this is limited series, Lawson is now shooting season 8 of Psych, which may likely be its last season. If Psych lives on further, probably without Lawson (unless this comedy fails)
Too clarify ABC chose the option to make it a Limited Series bc first of all it would save them alot of money bc they seem to lose alot of money when they pick up a series and then cancel it before it ends its season run and secondly it gaves the Actor/Actress the option to drop out of the series in case it gets picked up giving them the freedom to leave after 13 episodes instead of being locked in for a 22-24 episode contract
Seeing as how Burn Notice was given its Final Season with 13 episodes and USA added five more episodes to Season 8 it looks like a Final Season unless they add an extra 3 episodes then it wouldn't be final lol
Plus seeing that USA has currently 7 drama shows with Graceland premiering making it 8 and since burn notice won't be on the schedule next yr and if Graceland succeeds then Psych wont have it's final season unless they pick up another series then Psych is screwed lol
actually i prefer them being locked in.. it gives you a sense of stability.. to me i want to invest in the characters.. and like this i feel like it wont give me that chance..
and as for the money aspect.. what would you prefer.. one full season show.. or 2 short ones.. in the long run the 2 short ones will be hell of a lot more expensive.. also considering the syndication value of it all.. by having shorter seasons it will take a much longer time to reach the number of episodes needed..
I wouldn't watch this trash even if you paid me to. Stick with Psych Maggie you are so much better and more dynamic as Juliet O'Hara. This show will be cancelled by mid-season, on ABC that's pretty much a given. She will never have it as good as she has it on Psych and she knows that. This is why she doing both shows. It totally shows that she isn't at all confident in this new show otherwise she would have left Psych and she hasn't. I am very disappointed in her, i thought she had more sense than to be on such a stupid show with such a limited appeal (especially overseas, baseball? Not going to sell in Europe) and how long can the premise of this series last? I mean really? A little lead baseball team? Yeah i am laughing alright, but it's at what a joke the show is.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
This looks really good and I'm in!
ReplyDeleteBut is Maggie Lawson filming this and Psych at the same time? Or is Psych done filming? Little confused.

ReplyDeleteI wasn't really planning to watch this show (not my thing), but this actually looks really good, so I think I'll give it a shot. Plus, it's Maggie ;)
ReplyDeleteI'll check it out, mostly because of Maggie Lawson and James Caan.
