    !!!!! Love it already though of course I am incredibly biased as both a Whedon and Marvel fan but looks amazing like the production values, has humour, has action, has a bunch of different characters and has Coulson!

    As predictable as it may be... I AM SO IN FOR THIS ONE! I wasn't even a huge fan of the avengers movie, but this looks incredible. It will work out for ABC hopefully and become biiig!

    I agree with the budget consideration, I think there is a chance we might be in for a Terra Nova, in the sense that it has to have higher ratings than normal to survive, to compensate for the costs.

    I wouldn't worry about budget. The Marvel division of Disney has the most pull in the company, because again their product has grossed them billions of dollars so if the ratings are decent to good it will continue to have a good budget.

    A good point. If they don't find a way to do a handful of bottle episodes and episodes with plots that don't require a lot of large-scale action and stunt work, this could definitely become a Terra Nova situation.

    They all have to justify their budgets and, whether it's at Marvel's end or ABC's, there's going to be a threshold where the ratings will no longer justify the production budget of a show like SHIELD. The higher the budget, the better the ratings have to be. No show is immune to that.

    You are so right, it does sound as Cobie a lot, I'm putting my money that it is indeed her.

    It makes me wonder somethings. Before the renewal, HIMYM's 8 season seemed to be its last. Would it had been possible that Cobie was considered for the cast given the focus on SHIELD?

    Maybe not, but nonetheless, it makes me hope we will see her guest starring on Agents of SHIELD from time to time!

    Yeah my thoughts were it was always the plan for the show to have her on it. But cause of the HIMYM renewal she'll only have a few guest spots until season two.


    Still, glad Coulson lived!

    Also i didn't realize that Clark Gregg who plays Coulson is the same actor who provides the voice to Coulson in Ultimate Spider man lol



    I gotta admit in Avengers Earth Mightiest Heroes the actor who did the voice for Tony Stark sounded almost like Robert Downy Jr lol

    Melinda May & Coulson were most intriguing to me, before seeing the promos & getting interested in everybody. I second the notion that Ming-Na is finally (hopefully) not going to be wasted on a lackluster show. This show's budget must be huge cause the production value looks really great.

    I think this is a case of a show's pilot budget being noticeably larger than its per-episode budget. I'm anxious to see some footage from follow-up episodes to compare the scope and the quality of the visuals.

    Thanks for the info.! That sounds logical, and I agree. For a show like this, visuals has to keep pretty good to keep the suspension of belief imo. Still, I'm more interested in the execution of this show (i.e., writing, direction, acting, story, etc.).

    Please don't take that as fact. I'm only assuming about the budget because it's not an uncommon practice. I'm also interested in the show's execution as well. Without the writing and acting to back it up, we'll be stuck with another Terra Nova situation.

    No worries, Bruce. I just meant I agree with the logic that this may be a one-off with a great pilot with a big budget, and a slightly more manageable budget for later ep's kind of deal. Once Upon a Time was like that. I'm worried about the Terra Nova situation too, so hopefully this show doesn't end up as disappointing.
