I would normally say Stephen Bartowski but I recently got into Once Upon a Time and have to say Graham died way too quickly. I really liked the character. At least with Stephen it made Shaw into the ultimate big bad for Chuck (FOR CHUCK)
for me its a tie between Stephen Bartowski and Keith Scott. Would've wanted more interaction between Chuck and Ellie and their father, as well as some conversation/relationship between Keith Scott and Nathan...
I would go with Keith Scott, it was very emotionnal, and I wish we could have seen him more with Karen Graham on OUAT also , or boone in Lost (I wanted more Ian somerhalder in it ^^) Lexie on TVD too And as much as I loved Captain Montgomery, I don't think it was too soon, it was very well written, it broke my heart but still it was a nice plot, I love drama ^^
GEORGE O'MALLEY, GREY'S ANATOMY. ALEXANDRA CAROLINE GREY, GREY'S ANATOMY. MARK SLOAN, GREY'S ANATOMY. VINCENT NIGEL-MURRAY, BONES. JEREMY SHERWOOD, ARMY WIVES. PETE WILDER, PRIVATE PRACTICE. AMANDA HOLDEN, ARMY WIVES. CLAUDIA JOY HOLDEN, ARMY WIVES.
i definitely agree. it was definitely saddening to watch the oth episode 'with tired eyes, tired minds, tired souls, we slept'. also think that quentin's death in season 6 of oth was also premature and definitely just as emotional as keith's death.
Definitely Stephen Bartowski... I still think he shouldn't have died. Till the last second of the last episode I still had a tiny hope that he would reappear (not in the sense of ressurection, but like he never really died, that he just somehow was able to fake his death to protect his family)...
I would say Captain Montgomery because he really is sorely missed, but at least he had a few seasons to go out with a bang. As such; Graham on Once, gosh I miss him, he was hot, and he made for excellent evil-glare-bitch-fight fodder between Emma and Regina.
I honestly don't get why people are against killing off major characters in tv shows. And I certainly wouldn't agree with most of the characters from the poll. The only person I could think of that died too soon in a tv show was Renee Walker from 24.
My initial thought was Stephen Bartowski on Chuck, although his death did prompt Shaw to become Chuck's true nemesis, still would've liked to see more of him. Then there's also Kate Moreau on White Collar, who I thought would be the end game girl for Neal and didn't believe she was dead until 2 seasons after her death.
Sheriff Graham all the way. And Jo (Alona Tal) on Supernatural. If there was a woman who should've survived the show as a kickass hunter kind-of sister, she should've been the one.
Opie on Sons of Anarchy and Ned Stark on Game of Thrones are the two dead character I will miss the most.
All the deaths on Lost has been the hardest for me. I HATED when they killed of all the great characters. No other deaths on any other TV show has ever moved me like that.
meh, Graham seems to be in the lead here but I really don't get what all the fuss was about. He filled his purpose, why keep him? Since then there weren't any major deaths and dare I say it's down to the fans complaining about the Sheriff, SADLY!!! Look what happened to Sydney Glass, Katherine and Ashley - we haven't seen any of them after their main scenes ages ago and no one is complaining. I am a fan of characters dying in front of viewers because it adds that thrill and refreshes the action and it allows the writers to actually TELL THEIR STORY rather than listen to the impatient viewers.
Jenna on TVD! I nearly left the show because of that. Also, Edie on Desperate Housewives, she was an amazing character(and honestly, more interesting than half the rest of them)
One reason people made a fuss about him dying,Emma and Graham had great chemistry together. So their will always be that 'They could of had ....' and half that sentence we as fans cannot finish because he DIED to SOON,lol..second reason he was nice and good looking, very easy on the eye.He was also one of the good guys w/o being sugary sweet like Snow and Charming could be at times..
I don't watch Sons but yep,i said Ned also! I didn't even want to start on Lost,i'd be here for far to long.....but Charlie,oh i cried like a baby, then mourned for days. Can't take me anywhere,lol..!
Danny from Revolution, the reason I found it was too soon because they went on a long journey to save him and then when they saved him, the next episode he's dead
i definitely agree. now what r they going to do for the rest of the season? kill off more people? they killed maggie and charlie's father earlier on this season as well, r they going to kill off another character before season's end? perhaps captain neville (so that sidney glass can come back on OUAT!)?
First of all, even though it appears we will not see "August" again, it's not a garentee we won't. It's possible that the actor's new gig won't get picked up, or last the season, and there's always guessed appearances in flashbacks, and they could always end the show with him turning back into an adult if they wanted too, as like a flashback, I doubt it would be that hard to schedule him into an episode or two for a mini arc.
I don't really find any of these to have been 'too soon'. Like Graham fit the narrative and he didn't have a large role to start with. The only ones I find to be 'too soon' are when there are behind the scenes disputes because the narrative feels choppy and unfinished.
I agree. I think in most cases death is needed to enhance the story. Graham I think was appropriately used as he is used as mirror to show us the past is still repeating a bit, butalso puts a lot of weight on Regina and her over all story.
Same about Graham. All he did was add a pretty face because when you rewatch the episodes, other than his swan song episode, he didn't do much of anything except set up conflict between Emma and Regina. And most of it was him standing awkwardly in the background.
I think death is a nessecity on a lot of shows and although there are characters that I end up missing, very rarely do I not agree with choice to do so, because those things are what enhance the story.
Two that come to mind that I'm not sure how much they really needed to go are:
Issak Sirko -Dexter -It just would have been nice for him to appear in the final season, but I do think his death was shocking, because you just couldn't have imagined him dying that way.
Danny Matheson - Revolution -This one just feels a little to ironic at the moment, because of the time spent trying to get him back, but I'm willing to wait for the season to end before I cry wolf, as even with the last episode, his death is being used in a way that enhances Rachel's and Randall's stories simultaneously and his death might come with a technology game changer, but I think it's a shame he couldn't have gotten a better story first.
I have so many characters I miss Alaric on TVD, several characters on SPN etc. But ones that died off way too quickly for me was Graham (OUAT) and Lexi (TVD).
Charlie's death was def a hard one, but it's so perfectly placed in the series and IMO his death marked a an ability for the time line to change (be different from others). I also didn't want to get into LOST, but mostly because I think the show is about facing death/existentialism so death was a little more than a necessity.
also marissa in the oc. They should have never killed her. I didnt want KEITH TO DIE. Its hard to see people die in tv shows when u watch them from the pilot than the people die that first appeared in the middle of the show
I voted for Keith Scott, but I think every character that has died on GoT so far, whether I liked him/her or not, died too soon (ok, except for Vincerys). The one I miss most is Renly.
I'm going to choose Chuck's dad. Because he was an awesome dude and we didn't get to see enough of him. I wish we saw more of Sam and Dean's dad, too. Graham was pretty and Emma and him could have had something, but he died for a reason. I was going to say Cora, too, but then we wouldn't have Dark Snow.
Agreed! The search for Danny that dragged the storyline for 10 episodes and what happens, they killed him off. They could of done it a lot sooner,or waited until next season. Yeah,i liked Maggie to,they had a lot to work with if only they kept her around..
What's so crazy, as I walked away from the computer after the above post, I had a little epiphany about "Ghosts" and perhaps the rest of the season in relation to Maggie, something I should have seen/touched on sooner! You know when you first watch something you have your first impressions, but then a few days/week goes by and you start to pick up on things you initially didn't, simply because it takes time for stuff to sink in? I'm def having one of those moments! -It's noting earth shattering, but it makes the writing solid-er.
A lot of the deaths on Lost were necessery, you are right. We all knew that they all could die at any point. BUT still, it was so hard to let them go. Lost fans were very invested in the show and it just hurt more than in other shows.
Kate on NCIS, Graham on OUaT and Maeve on Criminal Minda. I was intrigued to see their characters grow within the shows but unfortunately they were cut short. I still love the shows so it tells me teh decisions werent wrong
1: Right now Eion's gig is Law and Order:SVU. 2: Today is supposed to be the last day of filming on the season finale of Once Upon a Time. So it's very unlikely we will see him again this season.
other: Merle Dixon(the Walking Dead)...the fact that it destroyed Daryl aside, i still feel there was SO much more to explore with that character...they made a mistake killing him off that swiftly
Definitely Captain Montgomery. I have a feeling he'd be so happy for Castle and Beckett right now. But I kinda see why they did it.
As others have mentioned below, I also miss Kate on NCIS. She was, as Paula Cassidy said, a great agent. Over the last few years, I've kinda wondered what would've happened had Kate and Ziva met. Same situation of Ziva joining the team, although I doubt they'd add a 5th member.
I did not watch Lost while it was on and only got interested because I wanted to watch Ian as Boone. Hated they killed him, but was hooked on the show by that time. ;)
That's part of it - that show was so much about great characters for me. You can hate the death of a Boone or a Charlie, but when you look at it, it happened for a good reason.
In some of the later seasons, there were certain characters who went far too soon (or in some cases like Nicki and Paula, perhaps too late - though for some reason I actually really love that episode, haha)
That isn't really true. Take a look at True Blood, at this point it bears almost no resemblance to the books. That said, I am glad GoT is sticking pretty close to the books. I don't really understand the point of paying for the tv rights to a book and then using nothing but the names.
Because, from the outset, GoT was marketted as a TV adaption of the books. And, given the differences in fanbase and story, canon is a lot more important to GoT than True Blood. A 100% faithful adaption of TVD books would have been cancelled in one season. The material of ASOIAF is of such calibre that taking liberties with the source material is not required.
As soon as they made him evil they manouvered themselves into a one way and had to kill him eventually. But I loved him and it would be awesome to still have him on the show.
I'm not talking about this season, as @twitter-273093236:disqus referred to not seeing Eion as a permanent death of 'August'. (meaning from here on out)
And the new gig I was referring to was his Pilot for TBS.
Juliet's death is the saddest death ever of any tv character for me, I was depressed after it. Totally agree and I will never get over that one. I also thought Boone was killed of way too soon, I liked the character, and I would also add Ana Lucia in there since we are on Lost topic, even though I know this is not a popular opinion and I liked her character. Out of Lost, agree with Ed Stark but it served the storyline brilliantly, so i think it was ok. Shane should not have lived more than season 2 IMO, the show needed to move on and rick needed to move on, it was at the right time. Andrea I agree 100%, I am still not over that one. Lexie and Mark I also agree, they shouldn't have killed them off, going away would have been better, despite the whole Sofia thing
I actually disagree. I think it would run in circles if they had let him alive. I think it would be way too out of character and a destruction of Merle to have him suddenly fit in with the group but there was no way for him to remain there without fitting in. Plus, I like where it leaves Daryl. I think it was rightly done
I agree. Always felt that. There were other deaths on Lost that affected me more, but I liked Boone and I definitely thought he had way more potential!
Despite the overwhelming evidence in the contrary, I am still not 100% sure that one will stick. There were no exit interviews, no anything (at least that I have seen). I think Bonnie might bring him back, not sure
Yess! I had already mentioned her in a comment I have just posted. Even though this is not a popular opinion, I totally agree, she was killed of way too son and had way more potential.
I don't think Jenna died too soon, but her death frustrates me to no end because of the way it was forgotten. They should jump at Klaus at every opportunity because of it and they should mourn her way more than they do.
Rufus in Supernatural - they broke up the hilarious Grumpy Old Hunters Maggie on Revolution - at the time she was the only character I liked Alex on Roswell - I was shocked when it happened
List - I think Kate died at the perfect time on White Collar.
It was later hinted that he had a much larger story to serve, as it was hinted, the Smoke Monster took an interest in him. It's believed he was supposed to be MIB's form in season 6 but he wanted off the island and left the show. He even turned down the offer to return for the series finale :/
My understanding is that ahead of time it was announced that someone would be shot by Arie so when he shot Kate in the bulletproof vest, everyone sighed a big sigh of relief and then well, we all know how long that lasted.
What's bizarre is that you so were attached to them in spite of "little backstory". TVD has killed dozens of guest characters, and that's what Finn and Kol were.
Kate Todd (Sasha Alexander) NCIS. She was such interesting character and IMO her chemistry and banter with both Tony and Gibbs was way better than Ziva. I still watch the show and Cote is okay but no where near as good as Kate, and i know it's been seven seasons but i still miss her on the show. All TIVA fans please do not attack me this is just my own personal preference okay?
I agree. I was looking forward to the rest of the season with Cora and Regina teaming up and trying to get Henry. I was pretty shocked when it all went down.
There's a few characters people would argue on Lost. Some would say Boone (though I think his death served a real purpose) - but along with Ana Lucia, you can argue Libby.
It's kind of complicated and I think I will tag it along with next week's overview, but I feel what I'm milling over makes the writing all the way back from the Pilot stronger, as it brings up some interesting juxtapositions in relation to family:motherhood/relationships in a way that makes where we are going more substantial.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I would normally say Stephen Bartowski but I recently got into Once Upon a Time and have to say Graham died way too quickly. I really liked the character. At least with Stephen it made Shaw into the ultimate big bad for Chuck (FOR CHUCK)
ReplyDeleteDoyle - Angel, Cordelia Chase - Angel( I "hated" her character since season 4), Winnifred Burkle - Angel (although I loved the Illyria Reincarnation)
ReplyDeleteEdie Britt from Desperate Housewives.
ReplyDeleteAugust W. Booth (Once Upon A Time)... and no, don't try to tell me that he isn't dead because Pinocchio lives but August is dead.
ReplyDeletefor me its a tie between Stephen Bartowski and Keith Scott. Would've wanted more interaction between Chuck and Ellie and their father, as well as some conversation/relationship between Keith Scott and Nathan...
ReplyDeleteI have two: Captain Montgomery (Castle) and Kate Todd (NCIS).
ReplyDeleteI would go with Keith Scott, it was very emotionnal, and I wish we could have seen him more with Karen
ReplyDeleteGraham on OUAT also , or boone in Lost (I wanted more Ian somerhalder in it ^^)
Lexie on TVD too

Graham!!
ReplyDeleteAndrea on the walking Dead
ReplyDeleteGEORGE O'MALLEY, GREY'S ANATOMY. ALEXANDRA CAROLINE GREY, GREY'S ANATOMY. MARK SLOAN, GREY'S ANATOMY. VINCENT NIGEL-MURRAY, BONES. JEREMY SHERWOOD, ARMY WIVES. PETE WILDER, PRIVATE PRACTICE. AMANDA HOLDEN, ARMY WIVES. CLAUDIA JOY HOLDEN, ARMY WIVES.
ReplyDeleteKate White collar, Nathan Eureka, Jackie NCIS.
ReplyDeleteAll I can think of is Kol Mikaelson on The Vampire Diaries .. such a loss of a so great potential :'(
ReplyDeleteKeith Scott hands down. That was a painful one.
ReplyDeletei definitely agree. it was definitely saddening to watch the oth episode 'with tired eyes, tired minds, tired souls, we slept'. also think that quentin's death in season 6 of oth was also premature and definitely just as emotional as keith's death.

ReplyDeleteOh that's true. Nigel-Murray did die too soon. I totally agree.
ReplyDeleteLord Eddard Stark, Head of House Stark, Lord of Winterfell, Warden of the North, Hand of the King.
ReplyDeleteI would say Captain Montgomery because he really is sorely missed, but at least he had a few seasons to go out with a bang. As such; Graham on Once, gosh I miss him, he was hot, and he made for excellent evil-glare-bitch-fight fodder between Emma and Regina.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't get why people are against killing off major characters in tv shows. And I certainly wouldn't agree with most of the characters from the poll. The only person I could think of that died too soon in a tv show was Renee Walker from 24.
ReplyDeleteThat's simple - Cora. Barbara Hershey was too good to off her so soon.
ReplyDeleteMy initial thought was Stephen Bartowski on Chuck, although his death did prompt Shaw to become Chuck's true nemesis, still would've liked to see more of him. Then there's also Kate Moreau on White Collar, who I thought would be the end game girl for Neal and didn't believe she was dead until 2 seasons after her death.

I mean, LOOK AT GAME OF THRONES.
Alastair from Supernatural, he was by far the best of the evil Demons.
ReplyDeleteI don't even watch Supernatural and I know this comment section is gonna be infested with its characters. They kill of everyone.
ReplyDeleteThat's different. GoT is based on a book series. They had no choice but to kill him off.
ReplyDeleteGraham!! They have an episode to make you first notice and then like the character and then kill him off at the end of the episode!! So sad
ReplyDeleteJenna on TVD! I nearly left the show because of that. Also, Edie on Desperate Housewives, she was an amazing character(and honestly, more interesting than half the rest of them)
ReplyDeleteNed Stark from Game Of Thrones.Wish he could of lasted a another season or two,oh well.
ReplyDeleteNow Graham was killed off much too soon! Kate, Captain M, Stark and Jerry all had a pretty good run on their respective shows..
Alaric Saltzman (The Vampire Diaries)
ReplyDeleteOne reason people made a fuss about him dying,Emma and Graham had great chemistry together. So their will always be that 'They could of had ....' and half that sentence we as fans cannot finish because he DIED to SOON,lol..second reason he was nice and good looking, very easy on the eye.He was also one of the good guys w/o being sugary sweet like Snow and Charming could be at times..

ReplyDeleteDefinitely. They've rushed their storylines soooo much.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think in most cases death is needed to enhance the story. Graham I think was appropriately used as he is used as mirror to show us the past is still repeating a bit, butalso puts a lot of weight on Regina and her over all story.
ReplyDeleteI think i've got to say Mike's Grandmother, i'm really gonna miss seeing them interacting, broke my heart when she died.
ReplyDeleteSame about Graham. All he did was add a pretty face because when you rewatch the episodes, other than his swan song episode, he didn't do much of anything except set up conflict between Emma and Regina. And most of it was him standing awkwardly in the background.
ReplyDeleteMaeve (Beth Reisgraf) - Criminal minds :(
ReplyDeleteDeep Throat from The X Files, at the end of season 1. He deserved more...
ReplyDeleteI think death is a nessecity on a lot of shows and although there are characters that I end up missing, very rarely do I not agree with choice to do so, because those things are what enhance the story.

ReplyDeleteSo unexpected,yep a shocker alright!
ReplyDeleteKeith on OTH.Jeremey on VD .
ReplyDeleteTara Maclay (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
ReplyDeleteHad to got other because Kate Todd (Sasha Alexander) for NCIS died way to soon in my opinion. I still miss Kate to this day.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I forgot about Marissa !!! Season 4 of the OC was not the same for me after that, when I re-watch the show now, it's mostly the three seasons
ReplyDeleteOPIE. UGH. YES. MY HEART
ReplyDeleteWhat's so crazy, as I walked away from the computer after the above post, I had a little epiphany about "Ghosts" and perhaps the rest of the season in relation to Maggie, something I should have seen/touched on sooner! ReplyDeleteGraham doesn't die - then what role does Emma play in the town? Graham's death served a real purpose IMO
ReplyDeleteYes, Libby too. I would have liked her relationship with Hugo to have had a chance to blossom.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Captain Montgomery. I have a feeling he'd be so happy for Castle and Beckett right now. But I kinda see why they did it.

ReplyDeletethat was just bad writting, it pisses me off
ReplyDeletenone of them.
ReplyDeleteMatthew - Downton Abbey
Shane and Andrea - The Walking Dead
Lexie and Mark - Grey's Anatomy
Ed Stark - Game of Thrones
Juliet and Boone - Lost
Merle! The Walking Dead - and Nate Moretta in Southland...two of the most emotional tv deaths I've seen.
ReplyDeleteGotcha!
ReplyDeleteThat isn't really true. Take a look at True Blood, at this point it bears almost no resemblance to the books. That said, I am glad GoT is sticking pretty close to the books. I don't really understand the point of paying for the tv rights to a book and then using nothing but the names.
ReplyDeleteMatthew was a rough one. Only the Brits could do such a thing on the Christmas episode!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes! Please let them kill off Charlie! The show would be soooo much better without her.
ReplyDeleteWish we could pick more than one. If we could, I would pick Capt. Montgomery (Castle) and Sheriff Graham (OUAT).
ReplyDeleteCaptain Montgomery (Castle), although I like Gates!

ReplyDeleteExactly
ReplyDeleteDitto Capt. Montgomery.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as they made him evil they manouvered themselves into a one way and had to kill him eventually. But I loved him and it would be awesome to still have him on the show.

this!
ReplyDeleteJuliet's death is the saddest death ever of any tv character for me, I was depressed after it.
ReplyDeleteI actually disagree. I think it would run in circles if they had let him alive. I think it would be way too out of character and a destruction of Merle to have him suddenly fit in with the group but there was no way for him to remain there without fitting in. Plus, I like where it leaves Daryl. I think it was rightly done
ReplyDeleteI agree. Always felt that. There were other deaths on Lost that affected me more, but I liked Boone and I definitely thought he had way more potential!
ReplyDeleteDespite the overwhelming evidence in the contrary, I am still not 100% sure that one will stick. There were no exit interviews, no anything (at least that I have seen). I think Bonnie might bring him back, not sure
ReplyDeleteYess! I had already mentioned her in a comment I have just posted. Even though this is not a popular opinion, I totally agree, she was killed of way too son and had way more potential.
ReplyDeleteI think Zack on Bones had to be written out due to problems with the actor, no?
ReplyDeleteI don't think Jenna died too soon, but her death frustrates me to no end because of the way it was forgotten. They should jump at Klaus at every opportunity because of it and they should mourn her way more than they do.
ReplyDeleteAdam Milligan on spn
ReplyDeleteOther :
ReplyDeleteRufus in Supernatural - they broke up the hilarious Grumpy Old Hunters
Maggie on Revolution - at the time she was the only character I liked
Alex on Roswell - I was shocked when it happened
List - I think Kate died at the perfect time on White Collar.
It was later hinted that he had a much larger story to serve, as it was hinted, the Smoke Monster took an interest in him.
ReplyDeleteIt's believed he was supposed to be MIB's form in season 6 but he wanted off the island and left the show. He even turned down the offer to return for the series finale :/
Dana Fairbanks- The L Word
ReplyDeleteGood question,i really don't remember?
ReplyDeleteCpt Montgomery. Charlie DuChamp and Sheriff Graham, really close seconds....
ReplyDeleteFrancie from alias!
ReplyDeleteMy understanding is that ahead of time it was announced that someone would be shot by Arie so when he shot Kate in the bulletproof vest, everyone sighed a big sigh of relief and then well, we all know how long that lasted.
ReplyDeleteNed Stark!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yeah, can't imagine what it must've felt like to watch the scene with that knowledge. Shocker alright xD
ReplyDeleteEtta??
ReplyDeleteNo problem! I actually came into the series late so I knew she was leaving but I didn't know she died. After the fake out, it was a hell of a shock!
ReplyDeleteClaire Callahan *sniff*
ReplyDeleteNed Stark
ReplyDeleteClair Mcleod of Mcleods Daughters.
ReplyDeleteHow about the son and the stepmother in Revolution?
ReplyDeleteKol (Vampire Diaries)
ReplyDeleteHe had 3 Season where Kol less then 22 Episodes
ReplyDeleteI Left BS Dumb Boring TVD Since they Murdered Finn Then Murdered Kol Both with Little Backstory
ReplyDeleteWhat's bizarre is that you so were attached to them in spite of "little backstory". TVD has killed dozens of guest characters, and that's what Finn and Kol were.
ReplyDeleteMontgomery! I miss him :(
ReplyDeleteKate Todd (Sasha Alexander) NCIS.
ReplyDeleteme too. I miss Marissa. I didnt like Season 4 as much as Season 1 2 3
ReplyDeleteSo true. Quentin's death still made no sense to me. The Keith one and all the aftermath from it was really intense.
ReplyDeleteEko (Lost)
ReplyDeleteI agree. I was looking forward to the rest of the season with Cora and Regina teaming up and trying to get Henry. I was pretty shocked when it all went down.
ReplyDeleteThere's a few characters people would argue on Lost. Some would say Boone (though I think his death served a real purpose) - but along with Ana Lucia, you can argue Libby.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of complicated and I think I will tag it along with next week's overview, but I feel what I'm milling over makes the writing all the way back from the Pilot stronger, as it brings up some interesting juxtapositions in relation to family:motherhood/relationships in a way that makes where we are going more substantial.
ReplyDeleteOut of the options: Sheriff Graham/The Huntsman (OUAT)
ReplyDeleteOut of the ones not in the options: Alaric Saltzman (TVD)
Person I'd most like brought back from the dead: Bobby Singer (SPN)
Most shocking death on the list: Keith Scott (OTH)
