F.R.I.E.N.D.S without a doubt, would've loved it to come back as a television mini movie not as a theatrical movie though. The creators are right, friends belongs in your living room, not a movie theater
I voted Other and I think FlashForward. Now, eventhough at some point I didn't like the show very much anymore because I had higher expectations for the "next Lost" as they called it. But despite that, it did leave a lot of questions unanswered and endings opened.
Got to be more Firefly (Yes, I know they already made Serenity). That or Veronica Mars.... but as we are getting a Veronica Mars movie now I think i'll stick with more Firefly.
Buffy and Friends yes. But also The 4400, Heroes, Jericho, Freaks and Geeks, FIREFLY (No Shit), Scrubs, Chuck and Fringe. Theres more but I am sure I am forgetting... Main thing is I want more of what I have loved. :)
Out of those I think the only one that didn't really have a proper ending is Secret Circle but there are definitely others that could use a movie more to round out the series.
Another Firefly, Roswell, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, but my first choice would have been Veronica Mars..except we are getting that movie next year. LOGAN IS COMING BACK. lol
Technically Buffy already was a movie. The series was based on Whedon's movie in the early 90s of the same name. Starred Kristy Swanson and Luke Perry.
Outrageous, right! how come almost every silly teen show made it into the list, but there's no Fringe, or Jericho, or Firefly, or Last Resort (which in my opinion should've been concieved as a miniseries and not a serielized show, the plot couldn't survive in the long run), shows we know could actually make great movies. I agree with the person that said Friends should be a TV movie, and if I have to choose one of the shows listed above I'd go with TSC. Not only were we denied an ending, but the ratings weren't so bad, and yes, I'm in the minority that really liked. But truth is if I could chose only one, it would be: Other - Leave Comment: FRINGE. It's not as simple as saying "oh! they should made a movie out of my favorite cancelled show", it needs to be something that may actually make it in the box office, and as much as I loved TSC, I'm not sure it would, but FRINGE most definitely has potential. If anyone is offended by comments, I'm sorry, I didn't mean too, I was just stating my opinion.
ALCATRAZ!! I'm still upset with how they left that show. It was SOOO good, and I LOVED Jorge Garcia and Sam Elliot's characters. A movie would tie the whole thing up perfectly.
A lot of shows never make it onto these polls,it depends on the person submitting the poll.If the person never watched or didn't like a show you can bet it wont wind up as a choice. And also to what i said before, the Fringe fandom here is small compared to other shows that are here.
i went with Secret Circle. while it wasn't my favorite show, i definitely enjoyed it, but what pushed it to the top for me was that ending!!! it a freakin' AWESOME setup for a fantastic storyline that now we'll never get to see. I would LOVE a movie, just for closure:)
Charmed, Buffy/Angel, Fringe, Alias, Stargate Atlantis & Universe, MacGyver, K 2000, Tru Calling, The 4400... And for finished shows that already got movies: Serenity 2, X Files 3, SG1 new movie, a new Pretender movie too
Gilmore Girls. And State of Grace - anyone remember that show? Mae Whitman and Alia Shawkat were in it. Took place in the 60s. Anyway, since I didn't pay attention to TV news at the time (I was only about 16), the fact that the holiday episode was the last one that aired left me confused and blindsided. Plus, even though there was no cliffhanger, I never really felt that we got closure. Same for Gilmore Girls.
Roswell and Charmed. My forever favorite true shows. Roswell will probably be my all time favorite show. You just can't beat the opening 5 minutes to that show.
None of the above. I mean I can maybe see a TV movie-2 hour special for House, but an actual feature not really. Same for Friends.
I do think that say: Dark Angel could maybe have a feature re-incarnation, picking up a few years after the show ended. And well I'm bias, but I could say Firefly could use a second movie ;P Also I can see Chuck getting a movie treatment...
I've actually put those shows to rest. I love them for what they are and I consider them complete works. Plus they do have the comic books. This is why as much as I love and adore the Buffyverse, in these sort of polls it will never get my vote.
There have only been 3 shows that hooked me with the pilot, Roswell, Veronica Mars and Supernatural and 2 of them were directed by the same man..David Nutter.
Agreed! I'm just getting into Veronica (finally!) I love it! I tried for 2 seasons back2back DVD episodes of supernatural, but I found it to scary (I know i'm a wuss). Roswells pilot was probably the strongest pilot I have ever seen, with the exception of Lost.
buffy would be awesome, and smallville too of course, i hope in ten years or so we see them in a new supermanmovie, would be great. charmed would be nice as well. and yes secret circle would be awesome since that endig was aweful:(
Personally I'd like to see them all turned into movies with the exception of House (never watched it) and Buffy (cause there was a Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie before the t.v. series) and the O.C. But I'd like to see the rest made into movie especially Secret Circle because it just ended with no proper ending.
The Secret Circle because we were left with a cliffhanger and so many unanswered questions. All of the other shows, besides TSC or maybe PP but I never watched that, got proper endings and there's really not a need for a movie. Though I wouldn't mind a One Tree Hill movie where Lucas and Peyton return, preferably for good. I've heard of a rumored Friends movie which I wouldn't mind as well.
would love to see one of charmed or the secret circle.voted charmed of course hope to see what the next gen is doing,so to speak.but i think secret circle needs another look too.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Secret Circle, because we never got a proper ending

ReplyDeleteCharmed <333
ReplyDeleteJericho would be great but only if the original cast was on board.
ReplyDeleteLoved all those shows. I don't know if Roswell can be done as a movie given how well they closed out the series. Love it!
ReplyDeleteOutrageous, right! how come almost every silly teen show made it into the list, but there's no Fringe, or Jericho, or Firefly, or Last Resort (which in my opinion should've been concieved as a miniseries and not a serielized show, the plot couldn't survive in the long run), shows we know could actually make great movies.

ReplyDeleteoh and Xena!

ReplyDeleteWell I imagine Firefly is not listed because they did get their movie...lol. I would love to see one for Fringe though.
ReplyDeleteCharmed, Buffy/Angel, Fringe, Alias, Stargate Atlantis & Universe, MacGyver, K 2000, Tru Calling, The 4400...

ReplyDeleteFringe OF COURSE!!!
ReplyDeleteSmalville ( No Doubt ) This 10 tv series was Epic by my standards.
ReplyDeletesurprised nobody has posted this yet: DARK ANGEL!!!!
