That's an insane plot uhh does Caroline finally bang Klaus I mean it may not be dangerous but I can't think of anything else, and as for Vamp-Elena I say we stake her and let Katherine take over her life
ReplyDelete- Please let this be the last episode of the "flip Elena's switch" subplot. Enough already.
ReplyDelete- A confusing and dangerous encounter with Klaus? Maybe it's actually Silas.
- Bonnie needs to stop making backroom deals. She got lucky with the Klaus deal at the beginning of the season. Odds are she won't be that fortunate twice.
- I'm all for the Matt / Rebekah stuff. TVD has been making good use of Rebekah as of late.
I'm so over Damon & Stefan's obsession with Elena. Back in Season 3 Stefan told her he believed she could make her own choices and take care of herself but they never let her make her own decisions. I'm just so over it.
ReplyDeleteI do sort of like Matt/Rebekah. I have no idea what Katherine is going to be up to or what's been going on with Bonnie and the bit about Caroline & Klaus is pretty cryptic but the only thing I can think of is they have a run-in with Silas.
they call for backup from a surprising source.!! wait a sec is this mean ..... no that impossible !
ReplyDeleteMatt and Rebekah are a great pairing, they complement each other really well. Rebekah gives Matt a viable storyline and Matt humanises Rebekah in a more genuine way than her taking the cute storyline does.
ReplyDeleteit'd be so much interesting if they did, i mean Katherine taking over Elena's life ...
ReplyDeleteand who says Bonnie's deal isn't gonna save them all? after all, what she did with Klaus WAS to save her friends and mother .. the girl shows independent thinking and that's good to see her do regardless if it was a right decision or wrong ...
ReplyDeleteI do agree that there's this nasty over-arching theme in Season 4 about Elena without agency, needing the brothers to do everything for her. And though I see their point-of-view (she isn't in a state where her actions are a matter of the choice she would normally make), I wish it didn't happen for as many episodes in a season that has been all about her free will taken away.
ReplyDeleteIt's really gross at this point.
I´m confused, what the hell is wrong with Bonnie. Does she know that it was Katherine who killed Jeremy? I would be so pissed and with her power I would kill her :D Don´t get me wrong, I don´t want Katherine dead but really Bonnie?
ReplyDeletei know she's such an interesting character Elena is getting old
ReplyDeleteEase up. No one is bashing Bonnie here. The fact is that almost any time anyone makes a deal with someone shady it damn near always ends badly. I would have made that same statement about any character on the show making a deal with Katherine. I said the odds weren't in Bonnie's favor for a favorable outcome because it's the truth, as it would be for anyone else in her position.
ReplyDeleteUm, I actually like Elena. I admit she annoyed me for a while but after re-watching the previous seasons she's become much better and I can understand her choices easier. Sure she makes some mistakes and she can be a bit annoying but it's not as if she sits there and does nothing. She tries to help! On another note hopefully we'll get some Klaroline in this episode! Surprising source? Elijah maybe? Or dead people? Hmm...
ReplyDeleteI didn't think you were bashing Bonnie & I was not upset at all when writing my reply FYI (idk what gave the idea), This is TVD something ALWAYS goes wrong whoever is doing anything .. and those people aren't known for intelligent decisions especially this season.. apart from that, it's in character for Bonnie to seek help/makes alliances with whoever gets the job done and save everyone.. so, it makes sense .. & that's just my opinion!
ReplyDeleteBuffy S2. Angel lost his soul in ep13/14 and got it back at the end of the last ep (22). Maybe they go this way with TVD. Elena gets her humanity back in the last ep.
ReplyDeleteAgree on Bonnie. She's just getting on my nerves. Can't she die or move away or something? You're right about her being lucky with the Klaus deal at the beginning of the season. She shouldn't push it.
Agree on Becca/Matt. They were cute together. But it's strange, isn't it? After she woke up in S3 she was after Stefan. She wanted to be with him like the last 90 years never happened. Then she met Matt and was falling for him. She even apologized for almost killing him (she never apologized to Elena. She was mocking her). Then she ended up in a coffin again and when she woke up she just slept with Stefan, she never even mentioned Matt. Now she's supposed to get close to Matt again? Am I the only one who thinks it's weird?
Agree that everyone makes a deal with a "shady person" (as Bruce put it) sooner or later. But what Bonnie is doing is getting ridiculous. Remember the last 2-3 seasons. She only does magic when it's too late. And even if she does it, she mostly causes more trouble than she helps. Bu-hu, she saved Klaus to save her friends. Since when does she care? She hates vampires. And besides: what kind of friend is she? She saved Klaus. Yeah. By releasing him on the town again? Like she didn't know what he did? What he would do? Was she thinking "I saved his life. And he will be so grateful for that that he will stop killing my friends for fun and bleeding Elena" Good thinking, genius. Before she put Klaus soul into Tyler she should have at least locked Ty away (I would have). But no, she's not capable of using her brains. And she lets everyone manipulate her. Oh, and the best part: when Elena, her friend she knows her entire life, asks her to remove a spell form a device, she pretends and lies. But when Klaus wants her to reverse the bounding spell, she does it.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I know it sounds like I hate Bonnie. And maybe I do. I just hate the way the changed, or rather destroyed her character. She was great in S1. But now … I hate what they did with her.
I get what you mean. I wanted Katerina dead too. For Jeremy of course. But I really enjoy Katerina (especially with a good Elena on the other side of the table) and hope she lives. And, like you, I don't get how anyone is stupid enough to trust Katerina and make a deal with her. Every time they do, someone ends up dead. But I guess, the answer is in the question. Bonnie is stupid enough. She trusted Shane, she cooperated with Klaus, …
ReplyDeleteyou can not make a decision and expect things would go the way you wanted .. She did what she did to save everyone .. & you seem to be stuck in S1 still 'coz that she-hates-vampires argument is soooooooooooo old.. she's come to consider "Damon" the one she hated the most in S1, as a "friend" which is imo a v. good development along with Damon, who didn't hesitate to kill anyone even those close to "his love" Elena, to consider this lil group as friends too.. Of course she'd care about them.. There's always a reason for Bonnie doing what she did either right or wrong one (don't get me started on being manipulated, isn't each one of the main girls on this show IS manipulated in some way, that's what the show is doing to them).. but at the end of the day, this same logic applies to the other girls on TVD and it's part of their story .. This season is not TVD's best season & everyone says it.. so, I am waiting for the writers to set everything right again in S5..
ReplyDeleteAnd I absolutely understand that she wanted to save her friends and her mom. But as I said, she was sloppy. She should have locked Ty away (like the barrier Emily used on the tomb) before she put Klaus in his body. She did it to save her friends. But at what cost? She didn't care that Klaus would be free to kill again as he pleases. She completely ignored that he killed her friends for fun. That they were in the situation they were in because of him. That they needed months to defeat him and put him in that coffin and she just set him free. She didn't even tell anyone (you know, to warn them beforehand). She didn't care about the consequences. What it would mean for Elena, or who Klaus would kill next. What if he would have killed all her friends cause they dared to put him in that coffin? He wiped out entire families for less.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think she still hates vamps. She just had to adjust, to overcome some of her prejudice, cause by now all of her friends are vamps. Except Jer, who is dead now and Matt.
What makes you think she considers Damon as a friend? The hug on that island? It was the first and probably last. And she doesn't even remember it (or so she says). Besides, she was just glad to finally find someone. I think, she would have even hugged Becca. I think, she tolerates Damon, cause he became useful and active with the group and because of Elena (even if Bonnie will never accept them as a couple). And because she has no choice than accept his presence, since he isn't leaving MF.
When were Caroline or Elena manipulated? Caroline was compelled by Damon, and Elena was forced into cooperating with Elijah and Klaus, even Katerina and Esther. Maybe there was a situation and I forgot, so please remind me. But Bonnie was like a mindless zombie. She knows Shane for an hour or two and she does everything he says, without thinking or asking questions. "I'm gonna teach you a new kind of magic, you never heard of" "Cool, bring it on!" And she never thought of asking what this new magic was about? Seriously. You in her place, would you be like that or would you ask some questions or even check it up in books? And when her friends said something is weird or creepy (was the word of choice if I remember) about Shane, she wouldn't listen.
Well, it's not one of the best seasons. But I think it's still better than S3. S1 and 2 were the best if you ask me. S3 was … Not horrible or a disaster, but close. This attempts of killing Klaus were getting so annoying and boring, I hoped they would kill him. Not cause I wanted him dead (not yet at that time, this came this season) but cause I wanted it to finally end.
I agree that it makes sense. She usually ends up helping people whether they deserve it or not. I'm simply saying that she needs to be very careful who she bargains with and what she agrees to because the likelihood of something like that backfiring is very high.
ReplyDeleteWeird? No. Rebekah is just inconsistently written.
ReplyDeleteOr that. Haha
