DUDE, no Kirkland?... :(
ReplyDeleteLOL I wrote a fic like this...and actually it was Grace and Rigsby undercover and not Jane and Lisbon. This is like a shipper's dream LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm glad for the Rigs/VP shippers. Now if only we can get some Jisbon up in here it'd be all good... Yay for new episodes coming up! Miss my fave. show. Summer hiatus is gonna kill me.
ReplyDeleteJimmy Gadd was on twitter today and kept making hints about the finale in regards to Jisbon...
ReplyDeleteglad for the rigspelts out there but... after this epi we have one more and the SF..i expect a episode with more kirkland, fbi and rj in it o.0
ReplyDeleteReally? Can't wait till the finale then! I was already excited for it but this amps it up even more for me. Thanks for the info.
ReplyDeleteAs much as this is lovely for Rigspelt shippers (not one myself to be honest, sailed that ship years ago) I kind of hope this means they're giving Rigspelt this episode to compensate for the Jane/Lisbon they'll be concentrating on for the finale. I personally would feel quite cheated if they started to neglect one ship to revamp another! Why give us such great scenes for Jane and Lisbon to then totally flip to Rigsby and Van Pelt, which kind of came back out of nowhere may I add.
ReplyDeleteLucky this show has the great Red John storyline to keep everyone satisfied as a unit (not for long probably haha), not a lot of other shows have that.
Yeah. Someone on twitter said they wanted more "Jane and Lisbon" and his response was. "You'll like the season finale"
ReplyDeleteThe previous episode had Kirkland in it. The next one does. The finale will be all about Red John. What more do we want?
ReplyDeleteUnlike a show like Castle (which I love btw) The Mentalist has never been *about* a 'will-they-or-wont-they' (even though we all know they will) coupling(s). So, whilst certain fans will pine for two characters to be together, and with good reason - they're entitled to it, the writers aren't so much focused on giving 'ships' screen time rather they'll just do what they feel is right with each character dynamic/relationship - be that romantic or non romantic.
ReplyDeleteBRILLIANT
ReplyDeletewhy can't it be Jane and Lisbon? I'm sure it would be funnier than Rigsby and Van Pelt and they would make shippers so happy
ReplyDeleteHope they'll once inspire the ones you wrote about jisbon :D
ReplyDeleteHaha love it
ReplyDeleteUgh. I only got through the first sentence. Sorry. I don't want to be rude to you but I detest how condescending, unempathetic, pedantic, presumptious, judgemental and quick to jump on anyone's opinion you are that you disagree with. Insufferably arrogant. Check yourself. I love this show, I like Rebecca Cutter and she's going to do good with this. I watch the show and like Jisbon. I have a right to be a bit disappointed or angry (which I'm not, but I have the right to be) or to long for anything I want from the show, without having to bow to your dictatorial way of watching and insisting that any criticism or even a desire for something in said show must be the only valid way to view. The world's a big place with lots of different view points and just because I want something you do not and just because you can't seem to stop in your insufferable, prideful, pompous pontificating and realize it, my point of view may actually have some validity. Maybe as much validity as yours. Please do me a favor and don't ever reply to my posts again. I hate the way you treat people and try to bully them into watching the show like you.
ReplyDeleteI,m seeing a familiar name in Briana Barran as a guest star
ReplyDeleteguess they're gonna be back on
ReplyDeleteWow. That's a lot of adjectives you've thrown in there. And a pretty hefty response. But you claim to have only read the first sentence of Conner's reply? Which either means your response is a little disproportionate or there's some bad history between you two which I'm unaware of. Maybe that's true; you refer to Conner, or at least some mannerism of their behaviour as a 'bully' and the only way they can be that is if they've systematically abused you over a period of time long enough to have allowed your self-esteem to have taken quite a beating. I'm sorry if that's the case.
ReplyDeleteBut er, I was under the impression that their point was about the idea of fans feeling 'entitled' to see a certain genre amplified within a show that caters for something quite different. Not trying to brow-beat you into changing your mind. Or maybe not, as the case may be. Perhaps you were just angry about the idea of being labelled as an entitled fan. I can understand the anger, since the label carries an unsavory connotation of childish behaviour and generally speaking, on a site like this, it's unwise to refer to anyone as entitled, since it's a word that's very easy to misuse. Or over-use, as the case may be
I'm sorry. I'm just struggling to understand where all this rage comes from.
