The Americans
Here are some quotes from the season finale. Can you guess who said what?
At first glance they seem to be a lot between Philip and Elizabeth.. probably deliberately picked that way. ;)
ReplyDeleteI would never. :O ;)
ReplyDeleteSure. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou added some teasers too! And we both picked the "You're not going back." :)
ReplyDeleteBut I really loved the scene with "I'm not leaving her."
Well, I'm sure you know why ;)
Do tell! You teasers! ;)
ReplyDeleteOkay, going to guess anyway:
ReplyDelete- "Whatever happened between us is my fault. But I wanna make it better." - Elizabeth to Philip
- "I'm not leaving her." - Philip to Claudia
- "Your nephew wants to speak to you." - Eh? No idea.
- "I told them they're in danger of losing you." - Stan to Nina?
- "The center wants you in Moscow at Tuesday. You're being re-assigned." - Claudia to Philip
- "You're not going back." - Elizabeth to Philip
- "I know you better than you know yourself." - Claudia to Elizabeth
A lot of Elizabeth/Philip guesses but my heart goes out for them, so I don't care. ;)
Just out of curiosity, how long is the episode? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMy guesses:
ReplyDelete- "Whatever happened between us is my fault. But I wanna make it better." - I wish it was Elizabeth to Philip, but I don't think she says "wanna." So my final guess is Stan to Sandra
- "I'm not leaving her." - Philip to Claudia
- "Your nephew wants to speak to you." - no idea
- "I told them they're in danger of losing you." - Elizabeth to Philip?
- "The center wants you in Moscow at Tuesday. You're being re-assigned." - Elizabeth to Claudia
- "You're not going back." - Arkady to Nina
- "I know you better than you know yourself." - Claudia to Elizabeth
I could also imagine "I'm not leaving her" being Stan telling Nina he won't leave his wife. It might be interesting to shake that relationship up a little bit. I guessed Philip speaking about Elizabeth as "her" but then the more I think about it, I'm not sure he'd say that to Claudia, who he doesn't trust. I guess it's still possible he could be saying it to one of the kids, but sounds like there's a lot going on in the episode already, not sure how much kid time they could fit in.
ReplyDeleteabout 47 minutes including the previously and the ending credits
ReplyDelete3 correct :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, a lot of wishful thinking :P 2 are correct
ReplyDelete- "Whatever happened between us is my fault. But I wanna make it better."-stan to sandra,(She is a regular next season right??)
ReplyDelete- "I'm not leaving her." Philip to Claudia
- "Your nephew wants to speak to you." Someone to Claudia??
- "I told them they're in danger of losing you." claudia (they=kids) to P or E or Both
- "The center wants you in Moscow at Tuesday. You're being re-assigned." Arkady to nina
- "You're not going back."Stan to nina(may be demanding her to stay??)
Hmmm... my guess is one of the ones Pascal and I agreed on might be one we got right... the "I know you better than you know yourself" sounds so arrogant I can only imagine Claudia saying it.
ReplyDeleteThe "I'm not leaving her" in my wishful mind is Philip talking about Elizabeth (and I know Pascal is right there with me on that one), but then again, Philip is not exactly the type to confide in Claudia, particularly about his romantic leanings. That one may more likely be Stan telling Nina he isn't leaving his wife.
So I'm guessing one I got wrong, Pascal got right... my guess is the "I told them they're in danger of losing you," from Stan to Nina. That would make sense since Stan doesn't yet know Nina switched sides and thinks he's offering her reassurance maybe she'll get exfiltrated soon?
The first line is correct indeed. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not gonna tell you what the other one is, though. :P
Wow, impressive, almost spot on!
ReplyDeleteOne question if you can answer that.. Cliffhanger or not??
ReplyDeleteHm I wouldn't call it a cliffhanger.
ReplyDeleteOne question though..i mean only if you can answer.. Cliffhanger or not??
ReplyDeleteInteresting... it never occurred to me that the "they're in danger of losing you" might be to the kids... although you can see in the promo something that appears like Grannie at the door and Paige answering it. That would actually change the dynamic for next season in an interesting way if Paige and/or Henry know or start to suspect something is up with their parents...
ReplyDeleteWell, I said ALMOST spot on... :P
ReplyDeleteHa ha, okay maybe not. But I still think it's curious if Grannie does go to see Paige in the promo. Even if that quote doesn't refer to her, for her to take the step of making contact with the kids could incite some curiosity on their part. We know from all the interviews with Joe Weisberg that he's fascinated with the day the kids find out what their parents do. That would be an interesting angle if P/E suddenly have to start being a lot more careful about what they do at home--if they were being "spied" on there too.
ReplyDeleteYou will find out Wednesday night :)
ReplyDeleteI think "I told them they're in danger of losing you." is Phillip to Elizabeth, and I also think "they" are the kids
ReplyDeleteNope :)
ReplyDeleteGeeh, thanks :P
ReplyDeletePerhaps Claudia is coming after the kids as a warning to Elizabeth and Philip?
ReplyDeleteCould be. I rewatched it again and paused it, and it looks like actually, FX is pulling a sneaky with their editing in the promo. Paige opens a door and then Grannie is on the other side of a different door. So they may not meet after all. But, the shot of Paige still shows her peeking into P/E's bedroom... so it's possible perhaps she does start snooping around. That would make the hint from the preview of "Someone you don’t expect, gets close to the important discovery" fit in if it was Paige and/or Henry who starts looking around the house and finds something odd, maybe the radio equipment Elizabeth uses to get messages, or something else?
