What the what?! My feels! Have to say, I was all "Liv has to apologize and explain the Defiance mess" team, but seeing this I feel so sorry for her and really feel her pain. I mean think Fitz did many things wrong too and been an asshole lately but he also deserves some explanation from Liv. And it's always him that keeps begging for her attention and love. How am I gonna survive till Thursday?
They need to lay it all out there. He needs her to be sorry for her involvement in Defiance. And she needs to hear him express remorse for everything he's done to her (which, IMO started with Amanda Tanner). They need a fresh start...but then there is that Mellie situation. Lol
when does anyone ever apologize to Fitz? Olivia better OWN defiance. Because of their mess, Fitz was almost killed. Cry about what he did to her but She needs to feel some remorse for what she did!!!!!
So when Fitz called and said that she was all he had, he was ruined, and that he did not care that she was ruined she couldn't/didn't apologize. Now he has come clean, admitted his part and apologized and still nothing but blame from Liv.... Ms. Pope is behaving like a spoilt brat who does not deserve this love. I know part of this is rooted in the shame of sleeping with Jake, but this is taking self-righteousness to far. Hopefully she will snap out of it and channel some of that famed Olivia Pope wisdom that she shares with her clients for her own healing.
she does have remorse about that she did; she didn't want to do it in the first place. you know who didn't have remorse about defiance? mellie, cyrus, hollis, verna...
Disagree about OP acting like a spoiled brat. Fitz has had many episodes to be angry so now it's her turn. Both are hurt by each other's actions and/or words. They are upset with how they feel the other person has treated them. He feels that she didn’t believe in him and she feels that he really doesn’t love her. Their biggest fears realized. At this point, they have both done regretful things and they both need to talk it out .
Fitz has been making Liv pay for what she did apparently all by herself for almost a year & Liv can't have 5 mins of telling him where to go? I love my Olitz but really? Fitz called her a mistress, basically called her a whore, literally called her to tell her she made him miserable all the while having camera's in her house having her watched like a stalker by a stalker & Liv can't voice her feelings on the subject without being labeled a spoiled brat. No woman with sense would just accept his apology like he hasn't been purposely trying to hurt her for a year because his feelings were hurt. He didn't even give her the benefit of the doubt & just went with what Verna said like it was gospel & shut her out. No Liv did you do this, nothing just called her a mistress & went running back to his wife.
I agree, fitz has a right to be hurt and confused but he should have talked to liv however he went out if his way to hurt her(verna's funeral/post closet"I may not be able to control my erections around you") liv has been hurt for so many months just look at the phone call "I'm broken,I don't care")I think any one who has been in a relationship can understand when livvy says "you left me all alone" I love olitz I really do but he has been such a dick that he really needs to channel some series one fitz and ask her for "just one minute" and show how much he loves her before she tells him she is done, there is only so much one heart can be damaged before it's broken for ever
Sorry y'all I ain't feeling no love for Olitz after the closet sex scene. Fitz grabbed her, screwed her in a closet and dumped her in a hallway after he did his business (as Celie would say in the Color Purple). Fitz had the nerve to tell Liv his penis made him do her like a dog. Totally not with that. I am so done with Fitz, the whiner in chief. I want Liv to be with Jake, get married, and make jam and babies. Liv spied on Abby and David and Abby forgave her and moved on. Liv needs to give Jake the same break. He's single, hot, sexy, pretty and AVAILABLE.
Well, one time apologizing would be nice. She hasn't, at all. Or explained why she did it. She hasn't, at all. In the entire three years since she did it and for 10 months since he knew about it. She gave one half-hearted "I made a mistake" after 3 years of silence, and I'm sorry that is in no way an apology. Even when she thought that a Grand Jury was going to indite her and all her co-conspirators on the matter, and Fitz was mooning around dreaming of a life for her, she didn't give him a heads up that he was about to go down in flames. Instead she kicked back with her employees and drank wine. And I'm sorry she got her feelings hurt when he called her names, but she betrayed everything he ever believed in her and in himself. When you've done somebody you love wrong, common decency calls for you to apologize for it. Props for Fitz for doing just that, because he did do her wrong. Hopefully, she'll return the favor.
Well that ain't going to happen. Olitz brings in the viewers. You really think the writers are going to end them for good and make her run off with Jake and have babies? Right. We all know how tv works, couples can't be happy together for a while because its boring to watch - so Olitz are most likely going to have a lot of angtsy moment ahead but its going to be a great watch because they'll have some epic moments too.
I love the entire cast and the political thriller part of the show. I DO NOT watch for Olitz though I think their S1 relationship was awesome. I don't see a problem with Liv marrying Jake. Instead of one person being married in an extra-marital affair both would be married and they could claim status as each other's side piece.
I'm excited to finally seem some Olitz. I've missed their scenes. Even if its full of angst and heartbreak - and lets face it most of the Olitz scenes are but they are also the best scenes. Their chemistry is insane even when they are angry at each other, I know their road will be long and full of pain but damn if it won't be a great ride! I can't wait to watch whats to come and maybe, eventually see a Olitz who have overcome all they have done to each other and are happy together (although I know it won't be for a while).
It's not even 7 in the morning, I just finished releasing tension with yoga, and a clip less than a minute long from Scandal managed to get me all in my feelings smh
Just because you don't watch for Olitz doesn't mean the majority of viewers don't. Just look at the spreads for the magazines they have done - they know their audience and who to appeal too. Olitz creates drama which keeps up the intrigue, take a look at twitter/tumblr for example and you'll see what the fans are talking about. Shonda Rhimes is a pro at this, Greys is a prime example. How many times did Merideth/Derek split? Say cruel nasty things to each other? Yet they always came back together. Because she knows what brings in the viewers. They may go through a lot of drama but they always ended back together.
Scandal is a great show without Olitz, if it had romance at all it would be a good watch but it wouldn't be addictive. It wouldn't have the amount of fans it does and it would not have the amount of media its got at the moment - because as much as its interesting and has great plot twists that chemistry between Tony and Kerry is rare. Really rare. And people are talking about it, about them.
I'm not too sure Jake is even going to be around in season 3 so I'm not too sure about how big of a part he is going to play in Olivia's future but i highly doubt the writers would have Olivia marry a guy she barely knows. Let alone watched her on video cameras and has just recently put her in hospital. Just can't see it, sorry.
Amen and amen. I don't give a dang what anyone says. I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. Well, to the extent that Olivia should just marry Jake. I want it to be Fitz's fault. I want that closet thing that Fitz caused to force Olivia to marry Jake. That closet scene was physically abusive. Jake being physcially abusive, oh please. Some women doesn't realize that emotional abusive is just a painful as physical abusive. Emotional abusive is just harder to realize. People have killed themselves from emotional abuse. He even called her a mistress and told her you don't marry a mistress. To be told something that she is struggled with from day one is very painful to hear. Does anyone remember that Olivia is a MISTRESS. The man is married. MARRIED MARRIED with three kids. What about his wife? Do you really expect for a beautiful woman to sit around and waste the best years of her life wating for a MARRIED MAN? Olivia would be a dang fool and I really don't take her for a fool, at least not yet. I don't care if Fitz has a penis made of gold. Olivia shouldn't give him one more mintue of her life until he gets a divorce. If that's after the presidency then Fitz had better hope Olivia doesn't wake up from her "exciting sex" stupor.
@ Roadtoglory you perfectly described the situation Shonda Rhimes and her team have understood the "power" had the Olitz on the fans and the incredible chemistry between Tony and Kerry gives the addict side to the serie.
Our two lovers have not finished sending horrors in the face, but they always will come back together
ABC and Shonda Rhimes have with the Olitz with the new couple TV star.
Of course not. They are not going to end them for good. Being married didn't stop them from beginning did it? Why would anyone want to see Olivia sit in her home alone, crying for a married man while he gets baby after baby with this wife? Of course not. Just as Fitz can get a divorce. Olivia can too. Please! If Fitz can have sex with Olivia while being married you don't think Olivia can't have sex with Fitz while she is married? What kind of angst do you think Jake could bring if his wife is having an affair with the POTUS? Do you think Jake wouldn't fight for her? As for angst, how much angst do you think Fitz will go through knowing Olivia is exactly going to marry and does marry Jake? His head would explode. Ain't enough "Tea" in China for the Fitz we would see on the scene. And since we know how TV works, How can Fitz and Olivia be happy when both of the are married? Can you answer that one? You want drama now THAT'S DRAMA.
Debbie, Don't mind silliness? This is not a fairy tale. This is not a Disney show. Why would anyone that claim they even just like Olivia enjoy seeing her sit on the end of her bed, crying for a married man? Why would anyone want to see ANYONE they claim to care for in pain hoping that some day, some how, some where her prince will come and save her from her loniness. Olivia is not Rapunzal waiting for the prince to find her. Fitz needs to wake up and realize he can't lock her away in a tower and not expect another prince to climb the wall.
Of course Shonda wouldn't keep them away from each other. Fitz's marriage didn't stop him now did it? But there's also no way she can keep going around and around without with the same old dynamic between Fitz and Olivia without changing up the drama. Fitz married, getting babies and Olivia moping around like a sick puppy. Who wants to see that for 5 seasons. I know I don't. As for Jake, you don't know he will NOT be back for season 3. And if he's not, Shonda will have to bring in another love interest for Olivia or end the show next season. Do you want to see Olivia with another man? Then another one, and another one every dang season while we all know she's going to end up with Fitz eventually? What we watch is for drama not just Fitz and Olivia. And even Fitz and Olivia will get boring very soon without something that heightens the drama between them. And that's a man for Olivia, a serious man that Olivia would really marry. As Fitz states Olivia wasn't serious with Edison. Fitz needs a man that he feels Olivia will be serious with and watch the DRAMA explode.
So let me get this straight, Saying I made a mistake and I was wrong isnt the same thing as saying Im sorry. So she has to say the words IM SORRY and then you will be OK with Liv?? Really, WOW, well actions speak louder than words my friend. Not only did she show that she was sorry to him and even Stevie Wonder wouldve seen that but she did not disrespect him, call him names like a freaking baby, oh and let me see ahhh what else. Oh have some creep put up a Bestbuy wall and have her freaking watched in her own home. WOW! Really- now lets see what did Liv do to Fitz that was that bad. Oh let me see. She made him the President of the United States- the most powerful person on the planet. And if she wouldnt have did what she did he wouldnt be and he wouldnt be the person that he was meant to be. Which is the freaking President. Wow look at how she hurt him. Somebody order the fireing squad and lets do this puppy in. Shes outta here. Give me a freaking break. And she didnt do it cause she didnt think he was good enough, she did it cause he was good enough, she didnt NOT have faith in him she didnt have faith in the American people to make the right choice. After doing it she regretted it and she told him that. Oh but he wants to call her names, like some fool cause his feelings are hurt and break her heart and she did absolutely NOTHING to hurt him. Oh and having some creep watch her in the privacy of her home- Deal Breaker Sir! D E A L B R E A K E R! If this were real life that relationship would be OVER! Gee I hope Olivia apologizes for Fitz having some sleaze watch her in the privacy of her home- Geeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzz! HAVE SEVERAL SEATS!!!!!!!
Thats far too contrived. And far too much drama. There's angst and then there's too much angst. You want the viewers to actually have hope that the main couple will reunite not kill them off completely. You also don't want to make you main character, in this case Olivia, so unpopular that people tune out. By having her marry Jake and continue an affair with POTUS... I think that might just turn people against her. There's a lot of drama that could happen, who knows if Fitz will ask for a divorce, I don't know what the writers have planned but Olivia barely knows Jake and after what's happened with him I hardly think they would have her marry the guy.
And you wouldn't have your wonderful Olitz moment if he hadn't, now would you? But I still don't believe he meant to have her hit her head. #plotpoint.
Of course we don't know if Jake is sticking around, that's what i said. I don't know. For all we know he could be killed off in the season final or he could return next season. And really we don't know about Olitz's fate. Fitz could ask Mellie for a divorce and who knows what could happen. I don't think Olivia needs ANOTHER love interest after having two already, to create drama. I think they have enough drama what with his marriage, defiance, spying, Jake... I mean there's such a thing as too much drama ya know?
WTH???? The show is DRAMA. Have you been watching? There has to be DRAMA in every episode, over the top drama. None of these people are clean. If Ftiz can murder a woman with his bare hands and still be lovable, you can't tell me that Olivia being married and still have some kind of relationship with Fitz kill the character. You all will just say Olivia just can't stay away from Fitz. You all will say that Fitz loves her so much he's willing to mess with a married woman. You all will just say Fitz had her first. Come on, nothing these people will do will stop people from watching. Hell that's why people watch. Asking for a divorce is DRAMA? Really? Well, it was when he did it in Season one? So your idea of drama is for him to do it again? I don't think so. You know why they just might have her marry the guy, because y'all will have a fit if she does and that's the perfect reason why she should, it's called DRAMA. hello?
I actually don't think you get what I'm trying to say. Drama is one thing, an affair with the POTUS is drama. Him being married with children is drama. Olivia being part of defiance is drama. The POTUS murdering a woman who tried to kill him, twice is drama. Olivia marrying a man, after he's spied on her, put her in hospital, all the while still loving another man would be crazy. And really annoying. And yes, off putting. But really this whole thing is hypothetical because I really don't see this happening any time soon, I just can't see Shonda Rhimes going down that route. But thats my opinion.
You know why you are willing to accept everything you stated...even killing a woman for revenge and selfish reasons when the rest of the world would have to call the police and let them make the arrest is because it's in the show. That's it, Period end of story. You have to accept whatever Shonda writers or you can watch something else. There are many people that can't watch just for that reason. If you can get past all the other UNFORGIVEABLE stuff Shonda has put in this show that you will get past Olivia walking down the isle to become Mrs. Jake Ballard in a designer wedding gown I'm sure. In of course you're right, it is just a TV show, a dramatic TV show at that.
She never explained any of her motivations for Defiance. None of them. In the three years since she did it. You go on about how she did it all for him, but she never has even tried to explain that to him. He was mean to her at Verna's funeral and she came to realize that it was because he knew about of Defiance. Did she try one time in that 10 months to explain herself? No. Fitz wanted to run a clean campaign and instead he unknowingly became the centerpiece of the greatest fraud committed against the American people, by the person he trusted and loved the most. That fraud led to seven deaths that Olivia helped cover up. That fraud lead to his attempted assassination, with a bullet in his brain. And were it not for James and Abby and him going all FitzVader on Verna's ass, that fraud would have landed him in jail along with Olivia and the rest of the conspirators. Because there is no way people would have believed he had nothing to do with it. So yeah, she did a lot to freaking hurt him and it appears that he is over it, even if she hasn't apologized for all the crap she did. Was Fitz wrong in calling her his mistress and hurting her feelings? You bet and he deserves to be called out on it and apologize for it. But let's not pretend that she's an innocent when it comes to wronged parties. As for the spying, she's done it herself for her clients and against people she supposedly cares about and while she definitely has a right to call him on that crap, hopefully she won't be too much of a hypocrite on the issue.
That is very true. Its tv. Fiction. Which is why people root for a married President having an affair with another woman. If Shonda Rhimes does decide to have the fierce, strong, independent Olivia marry a man she barely knows then yes we'd all have to accept it. But it's very hard to believe they would go down that route.
Okay, roadtoglory I guess I don't know what you're saying. I'm definitely getting confused here. You stated he could leave at the end of the season and I stated he may not. So why repeat yourself? The fact is neither of us know, period. As for Olitz's fate? You just stated in your posts, as does everyone every where states that Fitz and Olivia will be together how can you stated "we don't know about Olitz's fate"? Even my dog knows Fitz and Olivia will be together one day. I seriously doubt that's ever been in question. Fitz ask Mellie for a divorce? Really? Do you think he could ever do that? Seeing how he's already done it? If you don't know what will happen "if" Fitz asks for a divorce how about watch the episode when he DID? That might help. Nope, Olivia doesn't need another love interest, two really three is just to many for a young beautiful single Black female. I agree. That's why Jake needs to stick around for as long as we can keep him. Too much drama? Bit your tongue, that's why the show is a hit. TOO MUCH DRAMA!!!!
It won't happen, because while having Olivia marry the creepster Jake might be "drama," it wouldn't be very good drama. And one thing so far I think is clear, Shonda Rhimes knows good drama.
He physically restrained her when she told him to keep away from her and that she wanted to leave. Any injury resulting from that he is directly responsible for.
Excellent reply. It feels good to know that I am not alone in my feelings for Fitz. I just hope now he stops saying he is sorry and let her take some of this blame..Oh and Veronica...SHUT UP and take a SEAT!
I'll say this, if Shonda writes it right she will have people accepting even a fierce, stong, independent Oliva, who can't seem to keep from having sex with a man married man, marry a man she barely knows seeing how Shonda has already had this same woman have sex with this very same man she barely knows. At least Olivia already knows if the sex is good.
You also have to remember that when Olivia slapped his face in the closet, she should have walked out...Instead she jumped right into his arms kissing him as hard and as fast as she could. She wanted him just as bad!!!!
I don't know, if he wants to get her back, he might have to accept the fact that she's not the kind of person that apologizes no matter how wrong she is. It sucks, but if his ultimate goal is to be with her, he's got to own up to his own messes and let her worry about owing up to her own. I would love a mutual read of each other, because I think they both could use it. Get it all out there and then work their way back.
Exactly...but we still don't know if she will or will not apologize in 219..I hope so and get this mess on a road to recovery..Will she tell him about Jake? I doubt it but here is her chance!
Now, Charwaldo, the only reason it wouldn't very good drama to you is because you don't like it. But newsflash that's what will make it dang good drama. That's all it is to it. Shock and awe is what this show is about. I for one don't care. This is fiction and getting the fans upset is part of drama. Of you love Olitz so much you will not stop watching. If you know Fitz and Olivia will be together anyway why would Olivia gets married upset you. You've been watching while Fitz has been married, Olivia being married is surely to make the fans hot and that's what drama is all about.
Yes, that just keep him from be accused of rape. But he sure made she regret it didn't he? I'm sure she didn't feel like he loved her after that. In fact she should have felt like a free whore, a woman who can't control herself sexually. Now how would that like you feel?
Oh please. Now you're stretching the facts of the show into your own fiction. She was fighting him I didn't see him restrain her? If he had physically restrained her would she be on the floor? Now would she? She was fighting him and I do see that he pushed or shoved her but there was definitely no restraint.
Um, no. Just looking at my tv screen, thank you very much. She ran away, he grabbed her arm when she said she wanted to leave and told her she couldn't leave. She struggled with a man about twice her size. Pretty sure he pushed her, but even if she fell as a result of trying to get away from him, the injury is his fault. Something that he could actually be criminally and civilly held liable for if it happened for real, and that isn't a fiction.
BTW - restrain means preventing someone from what they wanted to do. She wanted to leave. He tried to physically intimidate her so she couldn't. That is unlawfully restraining her.
Ha, yeah, no sorry, Olivia marrying Jake, the man who landed her in the hospital, who is probably a mole against the United States and used information he gathered on her to manipulate her into a relationship is not good drama. It just makes Olivia look like a complete idiot. Actually, this whole story line has made several characters look like a complete idiot to prop up Jake. Olivia, not taking the clues that she is being spied on. Huck, for having a regularly scheduled sweep. Fitz for not getting clues that he's being played by Jake. Having Olivia out of the blue marry Jake would not get new audience members. It would probably drop others away. It' just bad drama.
Veronica, now you know Olivia is the free whore, she's the mistress. She should be happy he's even having sex with her. Of course, she should be begging for his forgiveness, crying, repeating, washing his feet with her tears and drying them with her hair. How else will she ever be able to have sex with a married man again? He's the POTUS because of her, the tramp! He wanted to run a clean campaign and she had seven people killed and had him shot because of she wanted him to be President. How dare she not beg his forgiveness. She was so wrong for ruinning his chances at being the loser. Dang? Who does she think she is?
I mostly agree except the part that he needs to express remorse for everything he has done to her since Amanda Tanner mess. Fitz has already(repeatedly) apologized and shown remorse for sleeping with AT and for lying to Liv about that. He explained himself and she forgave him. The whole season 1 was about that. They need to move on beyond that one mess at least. Olitz has currently enough problems, to drag the old ones between them again. And yes, Mellie is a big obstacle to their relationship, but "only" in public matter. She doesn't have Fitz love so if it comes to getting their relations straight, she's a non factor, it's all between them.
Ok first of all when has Olivia had a chance to talk to Fitz and explain it to him. Neither one of them have sat down and talked about nothing in the 10 month period that he found out. Second of all Liv did not want to do it. She was bullied into by Verna, Hollis, Cy and Mellie. Like I said before and like we all know, Liv regretted doing it almost immediatly, she realized it was a mistake and she has struggled with that and cried and felt guilty and wanted to die. Do we not forget how she stayed in bed and didnt want to live. So you act like she did it then danced in the street and had a big ol million dollar party over the crap. Ah no she did none of that. She didnt want to tell Fitz about it because she felt awful about what she did. And she said it was wrong and a mistake....Have you ever made a mistake before and dont sit there and tell me "well Fitz made a mistake calling her a Mistress, telling her he cant help but have erections around her and that she means nothing to him except for taking care of his erections and saying you dont marry your mistress, and were done get away from me side piece. OMG over and over and over he crushed this woman. And gee I wonder why she was soooo hurt by it, was it because she had no heart and spied on people in their homes (with video) and because Fitz was just a drive-by in the first place. NO NO and NO. She loved him, she loved him, she really and truly LOVED that man, they loved each other. And Liv as guarded a person as she is. Well she let her guard down and let this man into her Heart and he broke it over and over and over. And no Liv didnt have video cameras in no-ones house so spying on someone by listening to them and spying on someone and having them watched on video in their freaking house where they walk around naked, dig buggars and fart are two very very different things and the video, that is the ultimate betrayal I dont care what you say. And the spying that Liv did, the listenining was for the greater good of her clients or to protect Fitz's presidency. What is the greater good of him having some perv look at her in her home on Video? Huh? Huh? Oh I dont think you can come up with a good one for that. That was just creepy, and wrong beyond words! Fitz was wrong wrong wrong and you know it. And what he has done is waaaaaaaay worse than all of the non-doing-anything-wrong- that she has done to him.
Very good post and generally agree with you. I just don't really think that the rigging would put also Fitz in jail. Yes, he would be put in a very bad position, because 5 people from his inner circle rigged the election for him and most Americans wouldn't probably believe he wasn't involved with this. But there's no evidence that could actually tie him to this and I imagine Olivia, Cyrus and probably Mellie would testify in his favor. So no jail for him. Though end of his career - yes. Anyway I wanted to add that Olivia's actions(and others) not only caused what you described but also ruined Fitz personally. Olivia's love was the most important thing for Fitz and when he found out what she did, it broke his heart. He didn't know her motives or saw her struggle with herself. For him it looked that she chose a profesional aspect of their relationship, that his desire to run clean campain didn't matter, so if that was the case(from his point of view) he thought that Olivia must have never loved him to do such thing. He doubted in her love for him and couldn't bare it. And although viewers know why Olivia did what she did and that she never expected to gain enything from it profesionally, she actually did. Being a fixer in a winning campain ald later working sucesfully in White House helped her to get the reputation she has today and start her own business. She didn't expect this but she got this. Also leaving Fitz with just a letter of resignation doesn't get her any favor in Fitz's eyes. So she hurt him deeply and he didn't know how to deal with it. I think many people doesn't feel Fitz's pain cause it wasn't really shown, sadly. We didn't see him struggling with his feelings, he just said Liv at the funeral those harsh words and was angry right away for everyone. So people quickly forgot why he acts the way he acts and just saw the effect that his behaviour was having on Liv and others. It also didn't help that he started to drink. Who likes drunken and angry man? I also had to remind myself that he was the wronged one in the first place. Fitz screw up badly but luckily he has started to deal with his demons recently, stopped drinking and is on his way to do the right things. And because of the dynamic between Fitz and Olivia, I believe that this is his turn to be sorry and explain, and then, after that, Liv can and should explain herself. Fitz came to some conclusion on his own(thankfully!) and is ready to confront Liv about that. He came out from his own pain and I believe that even if Liv wasn't in the hospital now, he would reach for her soon to get things right. He stopped drinking what gave him some clarity, like after he was shot, and his phone conversation with Cyrus lately shown that he's concerned what Liv is thinking about him and that he's preparing himself to talk to her. Liv would probably still live in her own pain and insecurities about being just a mistress for him for months or years. She's not good at expressing her feelings(toward Fitz especially) unless she's at the extreme level of hurt and anger as she is now.
No you shut up and take several seats because you obviously dont know what the heck you talking about either. And I wasnt talking to you in the first place Jugiehead!
I agree that she rigged the election out of a place of love. However, without her explaining her actions or seeing it like the audience has, one could easily assume that she did it for personal gain, just like all of the other conspirators. And as Malgorzata pointed out, she did personally gain from him being President. Hey, I love Olivia, but I refuse to believe her shit don't stink just like the rest of them. Her actions along with the other co-conspirators lead to the death of others, the ruining of lives and relationships and the injury of Fitz himself. As for spying, she did spy on David and Abby with audio. With the work that she did, you seriously believe she never spied with visuals? Really? The woman who cleans up crime scenes, rigs elections, instructs one of her employees to torture information out of people, sets up sham marriages, breaks up an employee's relationship using information that she's a battered woman, she's just above spying on people with cameras? OK. Yep, Fitz was wrong with the spying.on her. He probably could have justified it in his mind that he really didn't know Olivia at all and wanted to know if she was a threat to his administration because of what she knew about Defiance. But, that would probably be pretext. He wanted to keep tabs on her without actually confronting her. Completely wrong of him, yes. Did he know about video feed in all areas of her house? I'd say probably not. It will be interesting to see what he actually knows about the extent spying in the next few episodes. Regardless, he was wrong he deserves to be called out on it, and obviously he will be in the next episode.
Not gonna work. Jake did not physically assault Liv. I think you're thinking about the two SS agents who went to Liv's place and forcibly removed her and took her to where Fitz was hunting. Now that's assault. Liv was hysterical and pumped up on fear and adrenalin. People are much stronger they are in an extreme state of fear.
I am not saying that Liv did not respond. I'm saying Fitz screwed and dumped her which Liv alludes to in the promo when she tells him "you treated me like a whore on the street"
Oh please. They had her screwing somebody's else's husband. The moral compass is guided by the characters (psyche/motivations) not the writers' personal belief system
You made some good points here. Though I don't agree with everything. From my point of view Fitz got back with his wife because he saw himself as her equal. He did some terrible things that felt bad about and ashamed of and became monster, same as Mellie already was. He thought that Mellie would not judge his actions and probably even support him because she's the "end justify the means" kind of person. And he killed Verna to save his presidency. So what would be the point of divorcing her then? He would just lost in statistics. And would be on his own because he already rejected Liv. Fitz decided to create a team with Mellie and was determined to run the country. And one more thing. About the phone call. I think he called her to express his pain, not to hurt her more. He wanted her to reach him, to go through his walls, to explain what she did and why, to hear that she loves him, to go through his anger and calm him down, to be there for him, to not let him go. Just what we see in this sneak peek, what he's doing. Liv tells him she hates him and he just replys that he knows. He takes it all, he knows he deserves it. He won't give up. But at the moment Fitz called her then, she was already too hurt by him, and didn't have the strenght to do what he expected. For me, when he said that she was all he had, was very heartbreaking.
Good then Im glad that I entertain you at least.......oh and Im not belligerent. This is a TV show not real life this is entertainment and I love it. I like a spirited debate. We can agree to disagree like adults. Its a part of being intelligent and alive. So belligerent nice word choice but NO, just entertaining........Thankyou
Yes he will. Im not sure that I will be satisfied to the degree that he gets whats coming to him. But yes we can agree to disagree that we will not be seeing eye to eye on this point. I appreciate the debate tho, this is fun. Well its fun for me. I love this show, I love Liv & Fitz and I have to admit in this case I am on Liv's side more maybe because I'm a woman and I can relate to her more, but I feel her pain and from watching the show and seeing it from my own eyes, I dont see it like you do. I dont see where this woman hurt him as much as he has hurt her. Nothing she has done has been to hurt him! As you like to point out that Ms. Fixer has done some underhanded things. Well I will repeat what I just said. NOTHING SHE HAS DONE HAS BEEN DONE TO HURT HIM!!! She was in love with this man. And in the course of their relationship, Fitz who has two eyes and can see during all the beautiful moments that they had together, the looks on her face as well as he saw how long it took this woman to finally confess her love to him so when she finally did it--for him to be second guessing her now as you try to justify him having her watched in her house, I dont get that. That doesnt make any sense to me whatsover! You like to bring up Defiance. Well as far as I am concerned after Fitz did what he did to Verna because of Defiance, Defiance is a mute point right now and off the table and should not be brought up by either one of them again at this point, (as far as who wronged who). But that being said, all the ugly words and name calling that Fitz did to Olivia. All of that was just hateful and the icing on the case the watching her in her home. Fitz is the only one doing wrong in this relationship right now and Liv needs to slap the juice out of him and make him grovel and suffer for a little while for me to be satisfied. He has acted like a complete arz and he needs to pay for that! And boy oh boy I cannot wait to see how this plays out in this next episode. Them making us wait for weeks like this has been utter agony!
Theoretically she didn't have a good chance to explain things to Fitz cause it's hard to get to POTUS when he doesn't want to see you. But I believe that as smart woman as Olivia could come up with some idea, or use Cyrus to talk to him. But from her behaviour I don't think she had any intension to talk to Fitz in a very long time at least. She wanted to move on but she couldn't. And even at the christening she wanted get out from there as soon as possible. She would just leave without saying a word if the closet sex didn't happen. Yes, Liv didn't want to do it, but eventually she did and has to take the consequences for her actions. And Fitz knew nothing about her motives and how pianful it was to her, he wrongly assumed the worst but he had a right to do so as I explained in my previous post. Also Fitz didn't know why Liv was in such a bad condition while she stayed in her bed for days, that it was because of Defiance. Did he actually know how close it was to the rigging being exposed? But you're right that Liv didn't want to tell Fitz about it. She did at one point, but not later, when she thought it would only hurt him if he knew. But ultimately it came out so it didn't matter if she wanted to tell him or not. It was out so she should have explain herself. She figured out that Fitz knew about Defiance so she also should at least suspect that his words at Verna's funeral came from a dark place in his heart and said that because he was hurting. So she should try to talk to him at the christening instead of leaving. But she didn't and the after-closet comment just hurt her more deeply so she shut herself out and convince herself that he actually means what he said. And then Liv was in her own pain. About the cameras, agree, Fitz was totally out of line here. Spying on someone with cameras in the entire apartament is different than "just" listening what Liv did to David and Abby. Also motives are different. From what we now so far, Fitz was spying on Liv because he has became kind of obsessive with her, for his personal satisfaction. While Olivia was doing this to protect David and Abby. Yes, it was her and others actions that caused it and was doing it cover her ass, but she also wanted to protect them from Hollis. So I partially agree with you but I see fault in both, Fitz and Liv behaviour. She was wrong and hurt him, and so was he.
Well, you just remined me of all the things Olivia has done in her job that I had some issues with. So now it doesn't seem so out of place to think that she spied on people with cameras. Though spying on someone because of work is different than spying because you're kind of obsessed with someone(from lack of better word). That's why I like your reasoning behind Fitz's actions. Checking on her to know if she's not a threat is good enough pretext for me or now. Also the whole spying thing leads to Jake and his involvement with Liv. He wasn't just a shadow-guy that stays unseen. Fitz bring him to her life and knowing that Fitz and Jake know each other must feel like a betrayal to Liv. She feels like a fool, used and confused. So what Fitz caused unwittingly is bad too.
I think this is very interesting since Fitz concealed the election rigging by killing Verna. According to Fitz, he killed Verna to keep his legacy intact. So while he was "hurt" that Liv cosigned onto the election rigging, what he found more disturbing was the taint it would have on his legacy.
Of course Jake didn't mean for Liv to get hurt. If he wanted to hurt her, he could have done that when she was in his bed. Given what Jake knows about Liv and how she operates when it's other people, he probably thought they could sit down and talk. Hell, Liv has a killer spy on staff that used to live with her and she betrays her best friend Abby by getting her to believe David is a woman abuser and also has someone listening in on her most intimate moments with David. I love Liv's fierceness but you know what they say what goes around comes around.
Oh please, He said I can't let you leave, which was not the best way to approach. Liv immediately started to run and when he touched her, she went completely ballistic. I absolutely love the scene though because it has such great choreography. That scene must have been very very difficult to shoot. It is one of my all time favorites.
You know these Olitz peeps feel threatened by Jake's prettiness. His sexiness, his singleness and his slomo sexy swagger. Hey Liv had a smile on her face after their horizontal salsa and went back for seconds.
Right. He told Liv he couldn't let her leave. Liv kept telling him to STAY BACK and when she ran, he had to prevent her from leaving as he said he had to do.
It's definitely not the reason I watch. I love KERRY WASHINGTON, which is why I started watching. I love Cyrus, Mellie, James, Abby, David, Quinn, Huck, and Harrison. The cast is awesome. The women of Shondaland are so fierce!! But I became addiced when they brought in Scott Foley's Jake Ballard. I love that character!! He's pretty and he really spiced things up!
Yes I agree Scandal is awesome sans Olitz because it has a mystery/political thriller undercurrent that I love so hard. I have never ever any of Shonda's other shows. I cannot stand well let's just say "whiny women." The Scandal women DO NOT WHINE. They take care of business. OMG!! I hope Scott Foley's Jake continues for S3. He has done so much to fire up the Olitz fans, which is good.
Veronica, I totally agree with your point of view. I will go a step further and say that all Fitz has every done is take from Olivia. He has NEVER had her back or been there for her. I'm not a Fitz fan and although many are I hope in 3rd season they bring a single, successful, good man that sweeps Olivia off her feet. It would be the cherry on the sundae if the cast Benjamin Bratt.
And while he was treating her like something nasty stuck to the bottom of his shoe she was oh....sending intelligence via Jake to free the hostages and trying to find out who was the mole. She has ALWAYS had Fitz's back. The irony about Defiance is that she would never had agreed if she was not in love with him. Loving Fitz has cost her in so many ways.
what really brings viewers is intresting storylines if the show was completely about olivia and fitz then it would become a soap opera and it would actually loose viewers. i for one watch it because everybody in the cast is amazing
I agree. I also think we are all so use to strong Olivia Pope that it is surprising to see this raw emotion. Sidebar: Emmys for Kerry & Tony are in order. When he came in and first touched her she shrunk back like she was expecting a slap /punch because that is all he's been giving her for a year. Now she's suppose to kiss him and say she's sorry after just seeing him shake hands with her new boyfriend. I don't think so.
To all the GLADIATORS, whether you live for the Liv, Olitz or Jalivia, you have done something I have never ever seen BEFORE on SPOILERTV, Posted more than 100 comments for an episode promo!! You all totally rock!!!
Well, my dear, here's what restraint means. So if you want to continue to stretch the facts of the show go ahead. And there's no law against restraint. The law you're talking about is kidnapping. Let's see maybe 1). But Jake stated I can't let you go. But that wasn't able to stop her from trying therefore, he didn't restrain her with words and he didn't restrain her with his actions. But these defination relate to the physical act of restraining. A restraining order is very different and doesn't definate the word. ɪˈstreɪnt/ Show Spelled
noun 1. a restraining action or influence: freedom from restraint. 2. Sometimes, restraints. a means of or device for restraining, as a harness for the body. 3. the act of restraining, holding back, controlling. 4. the state or fact of being restrained; deprivation of liberty; confinement. 5. constraint or reserve in feelings, behavior, etc Then let's not forget why he didn't want her to go.
What? That's not how it happened. What TV are you watching? Forget about the show? He told her he couldn't let her leave while walking towards her. He had his hands up. He wasn't touching her then. And he didn't grab her in the right way to restrain her. That's why she ended up on the floor. Gees...why in the world am I repeating myself?
That's exactly it. It's ridiculous. Jake is single, don't have three babies running behind him, has a fantastic job, he's sexiness as hell, and handsome. oh did I mention, Jake is SINGLE. They want to see sex so badly they think that closet garbage was sexy.If they want to see porn so badly, get a subscription to a website. Dang, they couldn't care less about Olivia. All they want to see is sex.
Please, let these Olitzers tell it he was was trying to kill her. Jake has so far done nothing that would lead anyone including Olivia to believe that he was trying to hurt her. In fact he told hervery thing then showed her why he didn't want her to leave. And with all the stuff you just stated about Olivia's actions, which is the same thing I saw on my own TV, she should be the first one to apologize. Not to Fitz but to Jake. And if she jumps self righteous with Jake I will lose all respect for her. Period.
Girl, I think I love you :) so tired of folks preaching about how Liv needs to apologize...my question is this: what would she be apologizing for exactly? Oh, here it is. She should apologize to him for caring enough about him to risk her own career, her freedom, her reputation just to get HIM elected president. And, what did she stand to gain...hmm not a DAMN thing. And her doing that means he is off the hook for dumping her, screwing her and dumping her again, and then getting someone to watch her so he can screw her and dump her? nahhh... Seriously?
Right? U know if she just apologized to him and rolled over without giving him at least SOME shade for what he did, everyone would be calling her weak. So, y'all just let him apologize and give it some time to sink in. She will get round to it. But not right now. Really, I don't get u people who think that she should apologize. Right now. While she's in the hospital over some shiz he's responsible for. \_
I'm neither for nor against Liv and Jake. Being objective (some fans of Liv and Fitz are unable to be, unfortunately), I agree that Liv hitting her head was an accident and if there was"restraint", it was meant to protect, not to harm. On another note, I find it amusing how often it is overlooked that Jake would not be in her life if it wasn't for Fitz. But, of course, the cameras were not to harm, but to protect, right? Hmmm....where have I heard that b4.
Wow. Can't wait... These two have off the charts chemistry in every scene, even the hard to watch, emotional ones. No matter who apologizes when or where or how often, they need to find their happy place and move the hell on. I've got no horse in this race, ain't nobody paying me to be team nothing, so I Don't care who ends up in whose bed. I just want to keep the excitement that is these two actors going. Together in love or apart and full of angst don't matter to me because they are that GOOD!
I like where your head is at. I was hoping that Jake would be that person but then right out the freaking gate SR&Co, make you hate the guy, I mean they make him look shady, then sorta good, then creepy then they have Liv sleep with him and now hes abused the girl and we all hate him. They done put our heads all over the place with this character and I think that was a mistake. I feel sorry for Scott Foley, I bet he dont know what to think about his character and he probably hates that he signed on with this show. All I know is right now Hes the most hated man in Television! Poor Guy!
Sweetie, he's married. Maybe he should apologize to his wife first. And yes, he owes Liv a BIG apology because he has treated like his property. Using government resources to stalk, watch, and spy on his mistress. Now that's rich!
I loved this comeback from Liv cuz after killing Verna, Fitz asked Mellie if she loved him and saying she did and would stick by him, look how he has treated her. Yeah, Liv's right, the word love doesn't mean a damn thing to Fitz. Liv needs to move on cause right now, there's no there, there
The wonderful thing about Scandal is that no one on the show is all good. Yes Liv helped to rig an election. I remember her saying to Cyrus that she never should have done it and she would have found another way if she wasn't emotionally involved with Fitz. That's the thing though she was emotionally involved and she really wanted him to win because she knew he woulod be a great president. Does she owe him an apology for hurting him? Yes because you never want to intentionally hurt someone you love but more than that she needs to explain why she did it so that he knows it came from a place of love not that she didn't believe in him. Now on to Fitz, he was hurt and angry, he felt betrayed and he lashed out at Liv and hurt her the one way he knew would do the most damage. After she finally opened herself up and decided to take a risk he treated her for the first time like a mistress and not like the love of his life. They were no longer in it together. It's like Mellie said he always knows how to hurt you. Should he apologize for doing that? Yes. They both set things in motion. If he didn't have Jake watching Liv then he wouldn't have gotten attracted to her and then Liv wouldn't have slept with a guy who is working for the mole. They have both done each other wrong now all I want is for them to get past this somehow. I don't think any one is the bigger transgressor. But I'm enjoying the healthy debate.
Amen There will be other Jake, senator davis, amanda tanner, etc. .... that will come between Fitz and Liv but there will also be great scenes of reunion (probably they will be very hot). The production is well known that this is the Olitz makes the addict series. They will not risk destroying it.
Wow, let me first say how amazing it is to read all these different feelings on Liv and Fitz. I love it but lets put all this in perspective. Yes she is the other woman but from what I recall she is the one always pushing him away and he always hot on her heels, she was the one to resist this relationship the most, but once again we tend to blame the other woman (and no I have never been with a married man). Live only agreed to rig the election after Fitz cried in her arms after the death of his father when he told her he needed to be the President, so she did it totally for him and by the way she did have a career before she signed on to his campaign, she was already considered the best at what she does, so by no means did he make her. Yes she should have apologized for Defiance and as I recall she tried to but he totally shut her down on more than one occasion. We have to keep in mind that it is hard for Liv to bring out her feelings and given the situation, I would feel the same way, after all she knows he is married, where as Fitz is a ball of emotions all the time and does childish things when he doesn't get is own way....Amanda Tanner, drinking, sulking, spying, calling her names. Don't get me wrong, I love Fitz but he needs to learn to handle his personal life a whole lot better, but then "big Jerry" was his father. You may do things for your job but when it comes to your personal life, there should be boundaries. Liv does what she does to protect the people around her and sometimes it can get messy but she does it for a valid reason, not just because she wants to keep tabs on them like Fitz did to her. There is the difference. He fully well knows that she is not into anything shady and remember the only concern and question he had for Jake was who the other man was. Fitz needs to grow up and figure out what the hell he wants because he can't be the President of the free world, have a wife and a mistress and expect everything to go his way, there will always be chaos in a situation like this. Deal with it.

Jeez... I get it. Drama, drama, drama... Never can have too much drama right. Well yeah, you can. You need it to be good, if they are just throwing things in weekly to keep the gasp at the end of the episode going... it will fail because it does get old. And no nothing is certain, maybe i've just watched too many tv shows were you think a couple will be together one day and they don't but nothing is guaranteed, just because I think they are not over doesn't mean I think they will be end game. I'm not going to comment on this again, at the end of it all - none of us have a clue. We can argue and argue about this and that but yeah, its down to the writers.
I am SO Team Liv here. I love you Fitz, and yeah Liv was wrong, but you could've atleast allowed Olivia to explain what she did instead of cutting her out and being borderline emotionally abusive. You deserve EVERY ounce of the read you're about to receive :)
OMG really, what the freak show you been watching??? Liv done apologized to Fitz several times about Defiance. Are you kidding me. Liv dont need to apologize to that fool no more. Fitz has insulted her and called her names and broke her heart on so many freaking occasions and disrespected her are you kidding me show some remorse. What the freak do you think she was crying for??? What more do you want her to do. Slit her wrist and commit suicide. Fitz done acted like the biggest Arz to her and he needs to get on his knees and apologize to her and beg her forgiveness for treating her like crap after she done made him the freaking President of the United States and didnt gain nothing for it like the rest of the crew but recieved all of the heartbreak, blame and disrespect from her Mr. President. SHUT UP!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
get the box of tissues ready!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow..this sneak peek is early. They (Olitz) are killing me but Tony and Kerry continue to be amazing, though.
ReplyDeleteOh hell....
ReplyDeleteThis is gonna be INTENSE. These actors are incredible together. Can. Not. Wait!!! !
ReplyDeleteWhat the what?! My feels!
ReplyDeleteHave to say, I was all "Liv has to apologize and explain the Defiance mess" team, but seeing this I feel so sorry for her and really feel her pain.
Lol
ReplyDeleteQuality, gripping drama at its absolute best
ReplyDeletethis episode will be fantastic...."u keep saying that, like it means something"
ReplyDeletewow, that is intense "you left me all alone"
ReplyDeleteikr
ReplyDeletenot cool Fitz not cool
ReplyDeleteOh hell...this 50 sec clip already have me in tears. This is gripping. I really feel for Olivia.
ReplyDelete"You left me all alone" .... well THAT brought out the tears. Olivia is so vulnerable in this scene .... WOW, just wow!
ReplyDeletewhen does anyone ever apologize to Fitz? Olivia better OWN defiance. Because of their mess, Fitz was almost killed. Cry about what he did to her but She needs to feel some remorse for what she did!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI had to play this video like 8 times and it killed me a little bit more every time. I am writing this comment with the remaining life in my body.
ReplyDeleteI CAN'T WAIT FOR THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This sneak peek was everything and beyond.
ReplyDeleteShe hates him because he came around AFTER she slept with Jake.
ReplyDeleteAww Poor Liv she deserves so much better than that broken heart that Fitz has given her. That was so painful
ReplyDeleteAnd I had my shiny Jake apple.
ReplyDeleteshe does have remorse about that she did; she didn't want to do it in the first place. you know who didn't have remorse about defiance? mellie, cyrus, hollis, verna...
ReplyDeleteDisagree about OP acting like a spoiled brat.
ReplyDeleteI HAVE NO WORDS, I AM NOT THIS PERSON. THIS WILL BE EEEPPPIIICCC
ReplyDeletepreach, sister!!
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFitz has been making Liv pay for what she did apparently all by herself for almost a year & Liv can't have 5 mins of telling him where to go?
ReplyDeleteI agree, fitz has a right to be hurt and confused but he should have talked to liv however he went out if his way to hurt her(verna's funeral/post closet"I may not be able to control my erections around you") liv has been hurt for so many months just look at the phone call "I'm broken,I don't care")I think any one who has been in a relationship can understand when livvy says "you left me all alone" I love olitz I really do but he has been such a dick that he really needs to channel some series one fitz and ask her for "just one minute" and show how much he loves her before she tells him she is done, there is only so much one heart can be damaged before it's broken for ever
ReplyDeleteexactly I love them I really do but who would not respond a she does
ReplyDeleteSorry y'all I ain't feeling no love for Olitz after the closet sex scene.
ReplyDeleteWell, one time apologizing would be nice.
ReplyDeleteWell that ain't going to happen.
ReplyDeleteAnd he landed her in the hospital when he physically assaulted her. How incredibly sexy.
ReplyDeleteI love the entire cast and the political thriller part of the show. I DO NOT watch for Olitz though I think their S1 relationship was awesome. I don't see a problem with Liv marrying Jake. Instead of one person being married in an extra-marital affair both would be married and they could claim status as each other's side piece.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to finally seem some Olitz.
ReplyDeleteIt's not even 7 in the morning, I just finished releasing tension with yoga, and a clip less than a minute long from Scandal managed to get me all in my feelings smh
ReplyDeleteJust because you don't watch for Olitz doesn't mean the majority of viewers don't.
ReplyDeleteScandal is a great show without Olitz, if it had romance at all it would be a good watch but it wouldn't be addictive.
Just can't see it, sorry.
it brought out the tears in me also, very vulnerable, my poor heart.
ReplyDelete*Tears* yes pass the box over here.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT!! I too a repeatedly watched this video!! I cannot wait til Thursday.
ReplyDeleteI love it. Go Liv. She needs to give Fitz hell. He is going to deserve it, after the way he's treated her.
ReplyDeleteAmen and amen.
ReplyDelete@ Roadtoglory you perfectly described the situation
ReplyDeleteShonda Rhimes and her team have understood the "power" had the Olitz on the fans and the incredible chemistry between Tony and Kerry gives the addict side to the serie.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, Don't mind silliness? This is not a fairy tale. This is not a Disney show. Why would anyone that claim they even just like Olivia enjoy seeing her sit on the end of her bed, crying for a married man? Why would anyone want to see ANYONE they claim to care for in pain hoping that some day, some how, some where her prince will come and save her from her loniness. Olivia is not Rapunzal waiting for the prince to find her. Fitz needs to wake up and realize he can't lock her away in a tower and not expect another prince to climb the wall.
ReplyDeleteOf course Shonda wouldn't keep them away from each other.
ReplyDeleteSo let me get this straight, Saying I made a mistake and I was wrong isnt the same thing as saying Im sorry.
ReplyDeleteThats far too contrived.
ReplyDeleteAnd you wouldn't have your wonderful Olitz moment if he hadn't, now would you? But I still don't believe he meant to have her hit her head. #plotpoint.
ReplyDeleteOf course we don't know if Jake is sticking around, that's what i said.
ReplyDeleteWTH???? You know why they just might have her marry the guy, because y'all will have a fit if she does and that's the perfect reason why she should, it's called DRAMA. hello?
ReplyDeleteShe hates him because he has been treating her like a whore.
ReplyDeleteI actually don't think you get what I'm trying to say.
ReplyDeleteYou know why you are willing to accept everything you stated...even killing a woman for revenge and selfish reasons when the rest of the world would have to call the police and let them make the arrest is because it's in the show.
ReplyDeleteShe never explained any of her motivations for Defiance.
ReplyDeleteThat is very true. Its tv. Fiction. Which is why people root for a married President having an affair with another woman. If Shonda Rhimes does decide to have the fierce, strong, independent Olivia marry a man she barely knows then yes we'd all have to accept it. But it's very hard to believe they would go down that route.
ReplyDeleteOkay, roadtoglory I guess I don't know what you're saying.
ReplyDeleteIt won't happen, because while having Olivia marry the creepster Jake might be "drama," it wouldn't be very good drama. And one thing so far I think is clear, Shonda Rhimes knows good drama.
ReplyDeleteHe physically restrained her when she told him to keep away from her and that she wanted to leave. Any injury resulting from that he is directly responsible for.
ReplyDeleteExcellent reply. It feels good to know that I am not alone in my feelings for Fitz. I just hope now he stops saying he is sorry and let her take some of this blame..Oh and Veronica...SHUT UP and take a SEAT!
ReplyDeleteJust say NO then...
ReplyDeleteI'll say this, if Shonda writes it right she will have people accepting even a fierce, stong, independent Oliva, who can't seem to keep from having sex with a man married man, marry a man she barely knows seeing how Shonda has already had this same woman have sex with this very same man she barely knows. At least Olivia already knows if the sex is good.
ReplyDeleteYou also have to remember that when Olivia slapped his face in the closet, she should have walked out...Instead she jumped right into his arms kissing him as hard and as fast as she could. She wanted him just as bad!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, if he wants to get her back, he might have to accept the fact that she's not the kind of person that apologizes no matter how wrong she is. It sucks, but if his ultimate goal is to be with her, he's got to own up to his own messes and let her worry about owing up to her own. I would love a mutual read of each other, because I think they both could use it. Get it all out there and then work their way back.
ReplyDeleteExactly...but we still don't know if she will or will not apologize in 219..I hope so and get this mess on a road to recovery..Will she tell him about Jake? I doubt it but here is her chance!
ReplyDeleteNow, Charwaldo, the only reason it wouldn't very good drama to you is because you don't like it.
ReplyDeleteYes, that just keep him from be accused of rape. But he sure made she regret it didn't he? I'm sure she didn't feel like he loved her after that. In fact she should have felt like a free whore, a woman who can't control herself sexually. Now how would that like you feel?
ReplyDeleteOh please. Now you're stretching the facts of the show into your own fiction. She was fighting him I didn't see him restrain her? If he had physically restrained her would she be on the floor? Now would she? She was fighting him and I do see that he pushed or shoved her but there was definitely no restraint.
ReplyDeleteUm, no.
ReplyDeleteBTW - restrain means preventing someone from what they wanted to do. She wanted to leave. He tried to physically intimidate her so she couldn't. That is unlawfully restraining her.
ReplyDeleteHa, yeah, no sorry, Olivia marrying Jake, the man who landed her in the hospital, who is probably a mole against the United States and used information he gathered on her to manipulate her into a relationship is not good drama.
ReplyDeleteVeronica, now you know Olivia is the free whore, she's the mistress.
ReplyDeleteIn the words of Abby Whelan, "let the slut-shaming begin."
ReplyDelete@shondarhimes, Please keep working your Magic for only you can bring OLITZ together, YOUR WAY, YOUR WAY. I DO LOVE SCANDAL!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI mostly agree except the part that he needs to express remorse for everything he has done to her since Amanda Tanner mess.
ReplyDeleteOk first of all when has Olivia had a chance to talk to Fitz and explain it to him.
ReplyDeleteVery good post and generally agree with you.
ReplyDeleteAnyway I wanted to add that Olivia's actions(and others) not only caused what you described but also ruined Fitz personally.
ReplyDeleteLMBO too funny!
ReplyDeleteThankyou six_dgrs, couldnt have said it better myself. Some of these people in here just dont get it. Im not even sure what show they are watching!!!!
ReplyDeleteFor what?
ReplyDeleteI agree that she rigged the election out of a place of love.
ReplyDeleteNot gonna work.
ReplyDeleteI am not saying that Liv did not respond. I'm saying Fitz screwed and dumped her which Liv alludes to in the promo when she tells him "you treated me like a whore on the street"
ReplyDeleteYeah, can't address things you have no desire to actually learn about. Just know: you're wrong.
ReplyDeleteOh please. They had her screwing somebody's else's husband. The moral compass is guided by the characters (psyche/motivations) not the writers' personal belief system
ReplyDeleteJugiehead...thats a good one! The more belligerent you get, the more I laugh!
ReplyDeleteYou made some good points here.
ReplyDeleteAnd one more thing.
ReplyDeleteYes he will.
ReplyDeleteTheoretically she didn't have a good chance to explain things to Fitz cause it's hard to get to POTUS when he doesn't want to see you.
ReplyDeleteAbout the cameras, agree, Fitz was totally out of line here.
ReplyDeleteAlso the whole spying thing leads to Jake and his involvement with Liv. He wasn't just a shadow-guy that stays unseen. Fitz bring him to her life and knowing that Fitz and Jake know each other must feel like a betrayal to Liv. She feels like a fool, used and confused. So what Fitz caused unwittingly is bad too.
These two just drive me bananas..Hottest Couple Ever!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo you think name calling is being all grown-up? You called the poster "jugiehead" instead of the actual screen which is "jugiebeans"
ReplyDeleteI think this is very interesting since Fitz concealed the election rigging by killing Verna. According to Fitz, he killed Verna to keep his legacy intact. So while he was "hurt" that Liv cosigned onto the election rigging, what he found more disturbing was the taint it would have on his legacy.
ReplyDeleteOf course Jake didn't mean for Liv to get hurt.
ReplyDeleteOh please, He said I can't let you leave, which was not the best way to approach. Liv immediately started to run and when he touched her, she went completely ballistic. I absolutely love the scene though because it has such great choreography. That scene must have been very very difficult to shoot. It is one of my all time favorites.
ReplyDeleteYou know these Olitz peeps feel threatened by Jake's prettiness. His sexiness, his singleness and his slomo sexy swagger. Hey Liv had a smile on her face after their horizontal salsa and went back for seconds.
ReplyDeleteRight. He told Liv he couldn't let her leave. Liv kept telling him to STAY BACK and when she ran, he had to prevent her from leaving as he said he had to do.
ReplyDeleteBless your heart :)
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely not the reason I watch.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree Scandal is awesome sans Olitz because it has a mystery/political thriller undercurrent that I love so hard.
ReplyDeleteVeronica, I totally agree with your point of view.
ReplyDeleteAnd while he was treating her like something nasty stuck to the bottom of his shoe she was oh....sending intelligence via Jake to free the hostages and trying to find out who was the mole. She has ALWAYS had Fitz's back. The irony about Defiance is that she would never had agreed if she was not in love with him. Loving Fitz has cost her in so many ways.
ReplyDeletewhat really brings viewers is intresting storylines if the show was completely about olivia and fitz then it would become a soap opera and it would actually loose viewers. i for one watch it because everybody in the cast is amazing
ReplyDeleteI agree.
ReplyDeleteHe's not. Scott Foley pilot got picked up at CBS. He's leaving at the end if this season. The question is how.
ReplyDeleteBenjamin Bratt cast as a real love for Olivia.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! I love this!
ReplyDeletewhich couple?
ReplyDeleteTo all the GLADIATORS, whether you live for the Liv, Olitz or Jalivia, you have done something I have never ever seen BEFORE on SPOILERTV, Posted more than 100 comments for an episode promo!! You all totally rock!!!
ReplyDeleteHang on, Ingrid. We can make it!
ReplyDeleteOMG OMG OMG DAMN THURSDAY GET HERE IM HAVE A HEART ATTACK OVER THIS BIH
ReplyDeleteWell, my dear, here's what restraint means.
ReplyDeleteɪˈstreɪnt/ Show Spelled
noun
1.
a restraining action or influence: freedom from restraint.
2.
Sometimes, restraints. a means of or device for restraining, as a harness for the body.
3.
the act of restraining, holding back, controlling.
4.
the state or fact of being restrained; deprivation of liberty; confinement.
5.
constraint or reserve in feelings, behavior, etc
Then let's not forget why he didn't want her to go.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly it.
ReplyDeletePlease, let these Olitzers tell it he was was trying to kill her. Jake has so far done nothing that would lead anyone including Olivia to believe that he was trying to hurt her. In fact he told hervery thing then showed her why he didn't want her to leave.
ReplyDeleteAnd with all the stuff you just stated about Olivia's actions, which is the same thing I saw on my own TV, she should be the first one to apologize. Not to Fitz but to Jake. And if she jumps self righteous with Jake I will lose all respect for her. Period.
Dang! I hate to hear that. I hope they can keep him somehow. I don't want to see Olivia without a man and I would love for Shonda to keep Jake around.
ReplyDeleteJake may be the best man of the earth but he will never fight, it is not Fitz. Olivia can try their luck with Jake, she will always return to Fitz.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so good. Can't wait until Thur!
ReplyDeleteYeah, call me when you've passed the bar, genius. Until then, sorry, you still don't know what you are talking about.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm team Liv too, lol, I completely agree
ReplyDeleteok people lets stay calm here... stay calm.....everybody just keep your cool....Thursday will be here soon...
ReplyDeleteGirl, I think I love you :) so tired of folks preaching about how Liv needs to apologize...my question is this: what would she be apologizing for exactly? Oh, here it is. She should apologize to him for caring enough about him to risk her own career, her freedom, her reputation just to get HIM elected president. And, what did she stand to gain...hmm not a DAMN thing. And her doing that means he is off the hook for dumping her, screwing her and dumping her again, and then getting someone to watch her so he can screw her and dump her? nahhh... Seriously?
ReplyDeleteRight? U know if she just apologized to him and rolled over without giving him at least SOME shade for what he did, everyone would be calling her weak. So, y'all just let him apologize and give it some time to sink in. She will get round to it. But not right now. Really, I don't get u people who think that she should apologize. Right now. While she's in the hospital over some shiz he's responsible for. \_
ReplyDeleteI'm neither for nor against Liv and Jake.
ReplyDeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteThankyou,, I definitely agree with you that she doesnt have anything else to apologize for. all the wrong has been done to her by the men in her life.
ReplyDeleteI like where your head is at. Poor Guy!
ReplyDeleteSweetie, he's married. Maybe he should apologize to his wife first. And yes, he owes Liv a BIG apology because he has treated like his property. Using government resources to stalk, watch, and spy on his mistress. Now that's rich!
ReplyDeleteI loved this comeback from Liv cuz after killing Verna, Fitz asked Mellie if she loved him and saying she did and would stick by him, look how he has treated her. Yeah, Liv's right, the word love doesn't mean a damn thing to Fitz. Liv needs to move on cause right now, there's no there, there
ReplyDeleteThe wonderful thing about Scandal is that no one on the show is all good.
ReplyDeleteWow. Those are a lot of comments for such a short preview....
ReplyDeleteAmen There will be other Jake, senator davis, amanda tanner, etc. .... that will come between Fitz and Liv but there will also be great scenes of reunion (probably they will be very hot). The production is well known that this is the Olitz makes the addict series. They will not risk destroying it.
ReplyDeleteWow, let me first say how amazing it is to read all these different feelings on Liv and Fitz.

ReplyDeleteUgh! Thursday where are you?!!!!
ReplyDeleteJeez...
ReplyDeleteI am SO Team Liv here. I love you Fitz, and yeah Liv was wrong, but you could've atleast allowed Olivia to explain what she did instead of cutting her out and being borderline emotionally abusive. You deserve EVERY ounce of the read you're about to receive :)
ReplyDeleteQuality tv right there!!
ReplyDeleteOMG really, what the freak show you been watching??? President. SHUT UP!
