  2. The Jaime and Brienne bath scene was sublime!

You see this beat down knight breaking down and telling his most personal turmoil to a person who just days ago he had little respect for, and we see this awkward and extremely shy woman who is insecure with her physical self baring herself to a man she days ago hated.

The two of them have evolved so much in a few episodes and this one scene showed everything to perfection.

Gotta go with Brienne and Jamie. They have a great chemistry between them. In second place, well any scene with the Queen of Thorns.

  4. I had that one! But then again this week, I had almost _every_ scene! I loved how touched Daenerys was.

  5. Diana Rigg is killing it as the Queen of Thornes!

  6. alot of great scenes, but I have to go with the Jamie/Brienne bath/reveal of Jamie's past actions as the best

  7. I gotta say mine was the whole Ygritte and Jon Snow thing

  8. The bath scene!! I have many deep things to say about the nakedness, of laying bare bodies and minds, but i'll go with ESDFKGSHGCSYUASHBYASHUJ!!!!

  9. I just gotta give props to Lena Headey's performance in that one bit where Tywin commands her to marry Loras and Cersei goes "Father don't make me do it again. Please." Say what you want about Cersei, but Headey constantly amazes me with how much dimensions and layers she gives her character with just her facial expressions and a minimum amount of dialogue. That was my favourite scene of the ep, for sure.

  10. This episode was amazing, not one dull moment, I had to mark almost every scene

  11. Jaime and Brienne. All their scenes in the books are so fantastic and I am really enjoying seeing them unfold on TV. Nikolaj C-W did an amazing job portaying the broken Jaime who finally confesses what happend when he slayed the king. I am loving all their scenes this season.
Ofcourse Tyrions scenes were also high up on my list. Loved his talk with the Queen of Thornes and the end scene when he and Cersei get´s promised of.

  12. Those two scenes are also my favorites. The Queen of Thornes is just brilliant.

  13. She is fantastic! And I don't think any woman could watch that scene and not be completely outraged for her. Cersei has done so many things to make me hate her, but I felt nothing but sympathy for her in that scene. It's been a nice subtle shift while watching her power slip through her fingers. And as Jaime and Brienne grow closer, I can just imagine Cersei's reunion with him...

  14. Picking only a handful of scenes for this show is virtually impossible!

  15. The bath scene one of my favourite Jaime and Brienne moments from the books and beautifully acted on the show.

  16. OMG for me its Brienne and Jammie's bath scene...it was heart wrenching to hear Jammie talk about it,but such a game changer! for me that is). To understand what he did and why made me tear up....I knew their was so much more to him than what has been told till now but i have one question for him..why with Cersi, why, why, why!?!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well, there may in fact be a bit of a reason why Jaime and Cersei got together, but it will only come much later in the TV series (still not revealed in the books)...

Until then I chalk it up to we cannot chose the ones we love.. or we don't need to like someone to love them..... or something. XD

  18. that smug look on her face was quickly wiped off.... alright

  19. she got only a taste of what she deserves

  20. I had to pick other... its to hard to just pick one... scene

    ReplyDelete
  21. That is so true! We cannot choose, and i am only going on by what i have seen so far..But i have to say i didn't expect to hear that from him.

Its funny, but i find myself cheering Tryion on (since last season) and now i feel the same for Jammie. Oh those Lannisters, here i thought the worst of them,ha! but never for king Joffrey, never i say! Never!!!

I love this show, just wish i could keep their names straight! :P

  22. Yep, it all starts off feeling like the familiar Fantasy genre with the Starks as the good guys and the Lannisters as the bad guys, but as the series goes on you see the Starks are not all good and the Lannisters are not all bad. Each family is capable of being selfish at the expense of others in the name of their house. Each is more grey than black or white.

  23. There is no universe in which it's okay for a woman to be sold into marriage against her will, especially when her previous marriage was one centered around domestic abuse. But that aside, I was talking about Lena's performance as an actress. It would be great if people could appreciate the actress as a separate entity from the character she plays and not let their opinions about Cersei lead them to think that Lena Headey is a horrible woman who deserves anything that comes Cersei's way, because Lena is lovely and hilarious and she's such a sport for putting up with a lot of shit from nasty fans like u.

  24. Beric Dondarion is NOT the Lord of Light.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I thought the same thing, but forgot to comment!

R'hllor (the god Mellisandre and Thoros worship) is the Lord of Light.

Beric Dondarrion is the Lightning Lord because of his House sigil and his guerrilla war tactics of striking fast from out of nowhere and disappearing.

  27. get a grip.. its clear that you take the TV SHOW way to serious....... seems as if kbroome was talking about the character.. in reading the comment he or she is replying to it seems they are talking about the character and not Ms Headey personally
for petes sake take a chill pill... damn

  28. Technically, Tywin ordering Tyrion to marry Sansa and Tywin ordering Cersei to marry Loras was the same scene :P
I liked this scene very much, love Tyrion's selfless concern about Sansa and Cersei's shock, although I do not like that they're making Loras both a playboy and a chess piece.

I also liked Brienne and Jaime's scene and I very much enjoyed Shireen Baratheon. Such a sweet child, it was nice to finally see her.
Robb beheading lord Karstark was another incredible scene, as was Sandor vs Beric.
I loved Ygritte and Jon too. There were too many wonderful scenes in this episode.

In the end, I'm voting for Robb serving justice. I believe it was the most powerful scene of the episode.

  29. Hunh? Who's confusing the actress and the character here?

    ReplyDelete
  30. It is very hard to choose on this one, damn it. The entire episode was perfect. Ultimately, I went with Jaime and Brianne scene, even though Rob's conflict was a very close second and the last scene was also very good.
