Between saying "Awwww!" a lot of times and almost crying, the last seven minutes or so of the episode (Charlie tells Dean she loves him, Dean hugging Sam, and Charlie reading The Hobbit to her mom one last time) were my favorite and the best.
Agreed, more Charlie! In fact, get her and the oth r auburn-tressed female guest star into an episode. BRING BACK SHERIFF MILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're so right. He can probably count the people who's said that to him on one hand, which is so incredibly sad. He really does need to hear that more often.
I can't say just one. I loved that Dean had someone tell him they loved him. I loved the hug when Dean knows it has to happen and says let's find the prophet. The blast fro the past is so important and Carver is bringing this in. The fact they still use John's journal is awesome. But, reading the Hobbit was beautiful. I'd have to say the entire episode was filled with them.
the episode was just brilliant. I love the way Supernatural can do a light episode like this, but still manage to make it full of emotion and meaning. My favorite parts had to be the fashion montage (it was too funny!) and just the whole last part in general
The stupid fashion montage was a waste of time that could have been spent on the vampire zombie shoot out scenes but Dean's hug with Sam was beautiful. Overall a gr8 episode
Charlie saying "I love you" and Dean hugging Sam. It's amazing to see Dean finally acknowledge that there are people who care about him and who he cares about and not giving a damn about showing it either - SUCH a character development from season 1's "no chick-flick moments".
The episode from last night has to be one of the best ever! Charlie is not so bad and she was very good to her mother in the end after all. Her interaction with Dean was good, too. I chose the hug between Dean and Sam because everyone loves that, but because Sam is really going to need Dean come next week. Can't wait! Our poor Sammy!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Charlie reads The Hobbit, because it was a nice emotional coda for the episode and, hey, The Hobbit!

ReplyDeleteIs someone time-travelling over at SpoilerTV? It's Wednesday, April 24, not Thursday, April 25, where I am. Or did I lose a day?
ReplyDeleteCharlie tells Dean she loves him. Which he needs to hear more often. I was so happy she said that to him.
ReplyDeleteAnd he gets to be Han Solo to her Princess Leia!
ReplyDeleteLoved this episode! Favorite of the season and i love charlie, she should come back next season <3 Great job!!!
ReplyDeleteTHE SAM/DEAN HUG <3 And generally all the brotherly moments <3

ReplyDeleteI really liked Dean's facial expressions during Charlie's fashion montage
ReplyDeleteTime zones - not everyone lives in the US... ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat moment. I agree.
ReplyDeleteSame here.
ReplyDeleteAndy, the owner of the site, lives in Great Britain. It's Thursday over there.
ReplyDeleteI go with the Dean-Sam hug mainly because it was so unexpected to the audience...and to Sam.
ReplyDeleteThe end scene with Charlie and her mom though...ah, that got me. Beautiful ending.
The beer throw was epic! LOL!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that was pretty hilarious. The look on Dean's face alone...priceless.

ReplyDelete"That's why we don't have nice things." lol!

ReplyDeleteI loved that scene with the beer :D
ReplyDeleteCharlie telling Dean she loves him Star Wars style. I can totally see Jensen as the new Han Solo!
ReplyDeleteMy vote goes to Dean hugging Sam. You can never have too many Winchester hugs, IMO.
ReplyDeleteCharlie says goodbye to her mom. I cried. It's been a long time since I cried at this show.
ReplyDeleteAlso, other: Dean chucking the beer at Sam, and Sam not even trying to catch it. One of the best gags in a long time.
Look at the synopsis for "Sacrifice". :)
ReplyDeleteI have to choose only one???
ReplyDelete*sigh* Then Dean hugs Sam, but ALL the other scenes above are close behind.
Charlie and Dean's hug and words of love :P

ReplyDeleteWhen Dean kissed Charlie on the head was awfully sweet.
