I am not a fan of Klaus, but love Elijah and loved this ep. Since I don't even want to think about Caroline and Klaus together, happy with the baby thing. This does look like it is going to be good.
I’m so sorry Joseph Morgan, I’m genuinely so sorry.
Only Julie Plec could take a show with so much potential and completely destroy it.
I mean, it takes serious talent to be able to make people NOT want to watch a show starring Joseph Morgan and Daniel Gillies.
So, kudos Julie Plec. You are like no other.
(And I really like how obvious it was what she was trying to do with the klaroline mention. It was such a blatantly desperate attempt to get our huge fanbase to watch the show and overlook the stupidity of the plot).
Just want to say NOT a Klaroline fan, but I think that the whole pregnancy storyline was such a mistake for the PILOT episode. I thought for a second, based on the spoilers, that she might be pregnant but realized that was so stupid that the writers would never go for that. Plec proved me wrong! I think if they were going down that route, at least wait until the show gets picked and gains followers. Huge mistake Julie Plec.
I think it's hard to base an entire show or the plot off of one episode. That being said, I really enjoyed it and I LOVE Elijah even more than I thought I possibly could! If this becomes a show and they say yes to this spin-off, I WILL be watching!
I have to wonder: Why are shippers so mad about this development when your ship is dead anyway. You realize the whole being on different shows thing ends this Klaus/Caroline storyline beyond a possible future cross-over, right? All indications are he lets Tyler come back in the finale, when he leaves Mystic Falls.
Don't get me wrong, it's a dumb storyline. But I otherwise liked the show.
Oh definitely! Especially with this being the child of a hybrid and a werewolf. Exactly what will this baby be and what can it do? Will this baby be immortal like his/her father? There is a lot of potential for it, so I totally agree. I think it's gonna be pretty incredible to see where it goes if they pick up this show, and I really hope they do.
The pregnancy thing was stupid, but I liked the rest. Elijah is amazing and it's a shame how little he's been on TVD since season 2, I'll watch the show mainly because of him
stop crying about Klaroline.. who the bloody hell cares about that? :D yeah, I know, lot of people (girls), but it was a good twist.. Klaus will be father.. fantastic!
If that's the direction I would say it's nearly the first time I've seen a show jump the shark before it's even a show. ( Wasn't this SL already used on Angel? )
Yea it was. Firstly the whole thing has been done so many times before. Secondly, why doesn't Klaus have more children, he's been around for a thousand years. Even if they go the route of it's only happening because of breaking the curse, Haley couldn't have been the first person he's been with.
actually I think having a baby around will take away from the recklessness and power filled vibe this show is trying to give off. I know that at the base of it it's about family, but turning Klaus into a dad of all things is just a bad move in my opinion. I may like Klaroline, but even if I didn't I would not like this storyline. IT SHOULDN'T EVEN BE POSSIBLE!!
that is what the witch, Sophie sad... Klaus is originally a werewolf.. they can.. vampires can't procreate... Caroline isn't pregnant from Tyler, because they slept, yeah, but Care is not a werewolf... but werewolf (like Klaus, a hybrid) + werewolf = unknown child :D
He only broke the curse at the end of Season 2. His werewolf side was dormant prior to that. As far as we know he hasn't slept with anyone but Hayley since he broke the hybrid curse.
Tyler was a werewolf before Klaus turned him. He's only been with Caroline so far (and since she's just a vampire she won't be able to procreate) but maybe if Tyler hooks up with someone who's human or a werewolf he could have children.
I never been a TVD fan, but Im a beastie so while I was waiting for my show, I watched half an hour of the Originals and to be honest I think I would go for that show it looks more mature, love the accent on the Originals vampires :)
Not bad. No sign of high school melodrama anywhere in New Orleans. The pregnancy idea doesn't bother me but it wasn't a good idea to start a new series with one. It's just bad timing. The audience doesn't know Hayley well enough yet. Let's get to know all these people before we start knocking them up.
i don't think hayley will be long for the world of the originals if it is picked up to series even being a werewolf i don't see klaus and family letting her live and have a say in the baby rebekah will most likely kill her
i really liked the episode except for the baby plot. all the power struggle and tension is great and has so much potential! yet that one single storyline might cause me to never watch the series. despite how much i love elijah, klaus, and rebekah.
One thing I'd like to mention is American Horror Story's entire first season revolved around pregnancy... I actually have not finished this episode so I can't comment specifically but technically they COULD make Hayley's pregnancy interesting but only if it's really insane and crazy and works into the show's mythology some way...if it's just a Twilight-type thing...UGH.
All in all, I thought this was a fairly strong episode, and a good pilot. The new characters we're introduced to were engaging and the casting came across really well. My only problem with any of them was that Cami felt a little forced in, although I understand they wanted to showcase the actress for the potential series. I'm not crazy about the baby storyline, I think it's far too soon for something like that, although to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if se loses the baby anyway, I can't see them introducing a child, it'd detract from the unrestricted environment set up with Marcel's kingdom. It does seem like it would be the Angel to VD's Buffy; darker, violent and more mature. Looking forward to it!
I feel your pain and I think this might be the end for klaroline fans cos in a recent interview Plec hinted that she is in fact a Stefan and Caroline fan! So I recon she is making way for them to maybe start something in season 5 if the originals get picked up.
You could be right and they just introduced the concept of the baby to get such a reaction out of everybody to increase the hype about the show so it would definitely be picked up. Well I'm hoping that's why they introduced it.
Before the episode even stared I was not looking forward to it. I been there done that with spin off. But I really like the story line with the vampires and the witches. Why dose that guy have control over them? I don't really like the baby story line because like someone already said they did that on angel. I hope there going to be more than just that. I really can't wait for next week with Elena I hope they don't brake her though. Still hoping that ghost brother and ghost Alaric come back for a episode than that will bring back her Emotions. But I'm still hoping that Elena become human again because vampire Elena is getting old for me.
Every one keeps saying that they hate the pregnancy story line, but I have to say that I liked it. Granted Haley was not my ideal choice cause I wanted her dead after what she did to Tyler. I honestly think that Julie Plec can make this work. We will just have to see how it all goes.
Triangle? Hayley was a one-night stand, despite the lingering results. Joseph Morgan made it very clear in an interview that Klaus isn't getting over Caroline anytime soon.
Yeah but he's going to have a kid with her that creates a connection between the two plus with Caroline not being in the originals I'm sure that he'll get over her soon after all this is tv.
I do not think the pregnancy is a mistake at all. it gives Klaus an other reason to stay in new oleand. he gonna use the kid and the mom to accomplish his wish to be THE KING.
They may get to the point where they're friendly - but it was a one-night stand and it sounds like it'll stay that way. Hayley knew how he felt about Caroline before she got into bed with him and it sounded like Hayley was more into Tyler.
TVD "The one and only. Sort of." She's great. "We're alone. And we hate it" And here I say it again. Whose fault is it? They kill everyone they know, destroy the life of every person they met. And then they wonder why they have no friends, why their family hates them, why they are alone. But I have to wonder, if she meant what she said to Elijah at the end. Does she want to put an end to it and live happy with Elijah, or did she just said it to get between the brothers and hurt Klaus (by separating him from his brother when he thinks they could get along again)? I just loved the last scene with Elena and the Salvatores. So great! And one more thing is bothering me. Now it's forbidden for witches to use magic in NO. But in ep 8, when Stefan and Damon were in NO, they found this witch. And she was practicing. Like her mother did in 1942. And now it's forbidden? JP doesn't know what's going on in her own show!
ORIGINALS It was great! Better than I thought. I like that it's darker and more twisted than TVD. It has great potential. I am absolutely for the spinoff. Where do I sign? First, the new characters: Marcel was great. He's an amazing character and Michael is an amazing actor. I would love to see more of him. Black belt in karate? Nice. Camie is great. And she's good at analyzing. Can't wait till she starts working with Klaus. For now I didn't sensed any chemistry between them, but I hope there will be. I have to say that I liked Sophie too. I hope she's also a regular on Originals. I have to say it, but Marcel really had it coming. Of course he was used to be the big boss of NO. He destroyed the wolves, managed to control the witches and the humans. But he was messing with the one person he shouldn't be messing with. Klaus. And as his former protégé he should have known better than provoke Klaus. I wonder how Marcel managed to control the witches. They usually don't let fucking vamps control them. I hope we'll get to know eventually. When JP makes up something that again makes no sense. And one more thing that bothers me. Why not just kill Marcel? I mean, I know he should be the Big Bad of the new show. But it makes no sense. I see no reason why Klaus should just kill him and end his regime of terror. His people won't be a threat once Marcel is gone. "How's the family?" "Those who live hate me more than ever" "If your blood relations let you down, you make your own" Hear hear. I wish it would be that easy for me. Hayley pregnant? Hard to believe. True, Klaus was born as wolf. But he's a vampire for 1000 years now. He's dead for 1000 years. "Natures loopholes" More like a JP loophole. She always finds a way to change the rules of nature as she pleases.
Thought the same. Elijah killed those vampires with ease and even said "I'll kill Marcel myself" until the witch said they need to do it their way. I suppose it would be a pretty short series if Elijah and Klaus just killed everyone in their way. Also Julie Plec has no idea what she's doing half the time, she makes things up as she goes along and changes things to suit the storyline
Hallo?!? He's a fucking vampire! No matter that he's a hybrid, he's dead for 1000 years! If it has something to do with being born as wolf, all hybrids should be capable of having children!
Sorry to disappoint you. But having a baby won't change him. He'll still be a psycho. Everyone will still hate him. And Becca was right. The child is better off without Klaus. The whole world is better off without Klaus!
Excuse me, but you might be wrong. To clear one thing, before I continue, I'm 1000% against Klaus and Caroline (being in any kind of relationship). But, as good as we by now know JP, we know one thing. If she want's Klaus and Caroline in bed, she'll get them into bed. Even if he killed Liz in the previous ep, Caroline will sleep with Klaus if JP wants her to. So never say never if JP runs the show. But let's still hope she won't be sleeping with Klaus.
Oh, love, couldn't agree more. Marcel is easy to kill (he's just a normal vamp). He just can't die cause Originals needs a villain (with Klaus she at least made up some real reasons why he can't be killed). And JP wants Klaus to be a hero. And yes, she has no idea what she's doing. Witches are not allowed to do magic in NO? Then why don't they leave? And what about the witch in 4.8? She was practicing, like her mother in 1942. As I said. JP doesn’t know what's going on in her own show.

the originals sucks till i had heard the word PREGNANCY! IT’S AN EMBARASSING STORYLINE!
IT’S A SHAME BECAUSE THEY HAVE A HUGE POTENTIAL! BUT WITH THIS HAYLEY’S BABY..IM UGGGHHH! I CANNO T WATCH IT..IM SORRY BECAUSE I LOVE JOSEPH MORGAN..! BUT THAT’S RIDICOLOUS!
ARE U KIDDING ME? I DONT WANT A SHOW ABOUT KLAUS THAT TAKE CARE ABOUT A BABY..OR TRYING TO FEEL SOMETHING FOR HIS CHILD..ITS NOT GREYS ANATOMY..ITS A FUCKIIG SUPERNATURAL SHOW! IM DISAPPOINT BECAUSE THEY RUIN ALL THE POTENTIAL OF THE SHOW!
Not perfect, but very enjoyable and I am definitely in, especially with Rebekah on board, as I just adore her. I haven't liked Klaus since the beginning, especially because I always felt annoyed by how he got a free pass for everything he did, including, you know, killing Jenna. Having someone worse than him, as Marcel, and having a family to build, I think will actually make me like him more, which is good, I liked him on this one. However, I did not like Marcel, his character just seems stupid considering Klaus or Elijah can break his neck at any time if they wish. I mean, what is the point of him proclaiming rules to Klaus if he can do whatever he wishes with him? That was my main problem with the show, more than the pregnancy storyline that everyone seems to hate so much - granted I didn't like it too much and I had too much twilight deja-vus, which is not a good thing, but I trust it might work for the Klauss character. I am in, for sure. See you in september folks
It gets a great.I really enjoyed the darker tone and the refreshing lack of teenage drama. The scenes with Klaus and Elijah were pretty good, which is the most important thing with this show and I hope Rebekah will only add to that. While I agree that it was way to early to play the pregnancy card,I can wait to see how things go.Doesn't really bother me.And there are certain mysteries that can work as interesting story lines, like what Marcel has on the witches.
What I think will help the show is some flashbacks now and then. What we know about the relationships between the Originals is only what we've learned from TVD,but with so many characters, there wasn't time to develop things much.If it gets picked up(and I think it will),it'll be good to see some more history and what brought them where they are now.
i like this episode very much Klaus, Marcel Elijah they r gorgeous!!!! atmosphere in NO fresh and dangerous. music wonderful... BUT wtf?? what plec did with this idiot pregnancy? its look like Santa-Barbara coming to originals( i think they need to sort it out, cause there were 2 seasons about klaroline relationships and now its gonna be finished without even start( klaroline fans r very disappointed(,
"Their body functions almost as normally as anyone else's" That's another part that makes no sense. They can eat and drink, so they probably use the bathroom (toilet) like all humans. But they can't have kids? And don't forget that they have to die to turn. Even the originals. They died by their fathers sword.
"So whatever it was in the vampire genetic code that prevents the ability to procreate is apparently resolved when a vampire is hybridized" I thought of that too. But that would mean that all hybrids could father or conceive children. Also I don't know how important it is if Klaus is vampire or hybrid. He needs blood and he doesn’t age. He wears a ring, so the sun does burn him (even if it doesn't kill him - another thing that makes only sense for JP), as does vervain. All abilities of vampires, not wolves. He's more vampire than wolf (as I see it). I don't know how it was possible. But I wonder that none of the other hybrids managed to have a kid. Or were they all living in celibacy 7 or 8 months or how long passed since Klaus transformed them?
This ep was amazing. So different from TVD which is a good thing. It was too good not to go to series. I loved that twist about the child; didn't see it coming. I seriously hope this gets picked up.
I use to be a Stefan/Caroline fan but its only been since season 4 that I can see the potential. But to the core I'm a Klaroline fan but JP has the power and we all know that she screws things up on a regular bases. I just don't want her to screw up Stefan/Caroline's friendship.
What I was wondering is what happens to the baby when the mother turns. If the mother is 8 months pregnant does she turn into a pregnant wolf with a human baby? Surely the baby shouldn't be able to survive that
You raise a very good point, Laura. If they don't allow her to live, I could see Rebekah growing an angry, dangerous jealousy over the fact that her brother can procreate while she cannot, and she is the one who wants to be human more than anything because she wants a family and children of her own. That being said, I could also see the possibility of Rebekah killing Hayley and taking the baby for her own if she were to allow that jealousy to consume her.
I still believe that Klaus will think again) because he wants a family, the child is his only chance and let it sends Caroline far away, she would never give him a family #TVDFamily
I have to admit I was bored of this episode when it first started but then it got very very interesting! I love the new baby story-line and can't wait time find out what happens. Loved Elijah in this episode. Bring on the spin-off!
Yeah I think so too. I think the witches don't want a war on their hands, so they know they need to care planning. Elijah seems so happy to be an UNCLE!! LOL He is probably thinking that this is will be about as close to having a child with his own blood line. I am hoping Rebecca will come around to that way of thinking also.
Yeah, I remember that she only used it to hurt Damon. But if she knew that she would die for it, don't you think she would try to avoid magic? Using a blade or a stake to defend herself? She used her magic like it's naturally. Like she does it every day.
Yes, they can pretend. But using even the simplest spell, the tiniest bit of magic and they die. I don't think she would use it even to defend herself, if it would mean death. She didn't know if Damon would kill her or even just touch her. She just reacted. I think most witches rather take a risk with the vampire than use magic to fight him off. Kinda like Sophie did.
Oh I hope this get picked up. This show seems more adult, without all of the high school drama in mystic falls.
And I love how they are setting up Klaus way to redemption. Because that will probably be one of the first seasons goals. Getting Niklaus to a better place without him loosing his badass attitude. He wants to be powerful, he wants to be King of new orleans. In order to do so, he knows he has to start trusting people and be a person you can depend on, who you can trust. He also has to start treating Bekah and Elijah as his family. The fact that there's a kid involved means he has something to fight for. He say he doesnt care, but he does. Klaus now has a better chance and more reasons to redeem himself then ever before, And maybe gaining the tite of inofficia vampire king as a bonus, which means he keeps his badass status. And Elijah would be his awesome consultant!
And how awesome is it that they finally introduce som hierarchy to this show, or at least to the spinoff?
I'm gonna be pissed if it doesn't get picked up because omg, this series have huge potential.
you know this spinoff is partly about Klaus redemption right? Klaus has more reasons then ever now to redeem himself. And just because he wants power, he wants to be king doesnt mean he still can't be redeemed. He probably would be a better king then Marcel.
Loved The Originals. Twisted, darker and adult with no teen angst and drama. This is how vampire stories should be (even though TVD is my guilty pleasure). Elijah was awesome. His introduction to Sophie was so bad ass. Marcel exuded power and the actor was great. Loved the power struggle between vampires and witches. Leah Pipes was great as Cami even though it was only a glimpse.
Why didn't they show Davina played by Danielle Campbell? I read in JMo interview they shot a scene with her and showed network execs.
I was not that bothered by the pregnancy story line. They needed a strong reason for Klaus to remain in NOLA and this accomplished that. Who knows if the baby will be born or some one maybe Marcel would kill Hayley before the birth. Or she could lose the baby somehow.
One thing occurred to me. What if Hayley is not pregnant. Witches did some juju to make her seem pregnant and faked a heartbeat so they could use Klaus and his powers to fight against Marcel. Who knows? May be Hayley is working with them in order to find her parents.
They can take the story in lots of different directions. There is a lot of potential here. Waiting for September :)
Maybe it has something to do with Hayley's family's clan? Like a special bloodline of werewolves. Klaus pointed it out right after the sex. So I think it could be what it is. As for killing Marcel I absolutely agree. But maybe it would be harder to do with all those vamps around. I mean, I know Kol killed a dozen or so vamps easily himself but those were all new ones. The vampires in the room could have maybe been able to hold Klaus down enough to capture him in something? But yeah. We'll have to wait and see.
I LOVED THIS EPISODE!! So refreshing to get away from the TRIANGLE BS! I love all the Originals! I wish Kol was still alive....it would be awesome to see all of them rule New Orleans. A hell of a lot better than watching boring Mystic Falls....two big haired puppy dogs fight over a whinny spoiled brat.
Oh if only they would get rid of TVD and make a show called "The Originals" that would be a blessed day! Oh wait..............lol
You made my day rely to my post people at work think I'm crazy when I talk about VD because they don't watch it. It nice to talk to someone that know the show. Anyways I don't think klaus will ever love this baby he see it as power so that kinda turns me off a little. They only reason I like the episode was because of the war with the witches and vampires.
Well, I mean there are tons of supernatural creatures. Maybe Hayley's family(or ancestors rather) are "alpha werewolves". I guess that's what you'd call it. A werewolf equivalent of an Original vampire. If nature "makes loop holes" then maybe nature found a way to make werewolves similar to original vampires in status. Either because of Silas or the Original family. We never really got the history of werewolves. Either way I don't believe she specified that they were unlocked werewolves. So they could have never killed.
His child is likely going to have the potential greater than the original vampire. Just by how these miracle child stories usually play out when they have two strong bloodlines going together. It may not be the case, but I can't think of any other reason why he is suddenly shooting silver bullets here(Sorry. I had to make a pun here. lol) other than it has something to do with who she is. I mean, Elena was pretty special to the whole mythos of Klaus becoming a hybrid/making hybrids because of her bloodline.
Yeah but he was also super pissed. I'm not saying they could really do much damage to Klaus or anything. But maybe they could restrain him for a bit. Especially if they had vervain which seemed to work pretty well against Kol. But yeah you're right. I guess there must be something big and important though for Klaus to just go along with it instead of just killing. I mean, outside of "We just want it to happen".
Maybe this whole pregnancy is a big hoax. The witches faked the pregnancy so that they can control Klaus and use him against Marcel. If Bonnie can bring Jeremy back from dead and fake her death then these NOLA witches can definitely fake a miracle pregnancy. I would like that more than an actual child.
I too barely have someone to talk about my favorite shows. Most of my friends are not into horror or sci-fi.
Agree. Klaus would be a horrible father. I mean he's daggering his siblings for disagreeing, killing entire families cause someone messes with his plans, he killed his own parents, … What will he do if his child starts talking back? I hoped that he would change. But I gave up the hope that he could.
Well, as I said before (somewhere), on Angel it was a higher power that made it possible for Darla and Angel to have a kid (Connor was cute). And on Twilight it was explained (I want a daughter just like Nessie. She's the cutes think I've seen. And the fast grow is great. I hate small kids. They are completely helpless, you have to do anything for them). Although it really doesn't make any sense. Their hearts doesn't beat anymore, they don't breath, they have no human body functions, but the males can have kids? But hey, we at least got some sort of explanation. But don't expect any in the JP universe.
Original werewolves? Never thought of that. But my problem is not with Hayley, it's with Klaus. He's a vampire. O.K., a hybrid. But still more vampire than wolf, as I posted somewhere. Most of his powers and weaknesses are those of a vamp. The only wolf part of him is, that his bite is lethal to vamps and that he could transform if he would want to.
And those are not natures loopholes, they're JPs loopholes. Nature follows rules. JP doesn't. In nature even mutation and evolution makes sense.
I wonder what this child will be like. The wolf side probably won't be active till it kills (as it is with al wolves). But what about his vamp side?
Elenas bloodline was connected to the spell Ester performed to turn her children. That is why it was only her blood. That was also the only thing that made her special. I mean in every other aspect she was just a normal human girl.
Yeah, agree. They could attack him, use vervain, stakes, swords, whatever. But they won't be able to kill him (without the special stake) or even capture him (without dark magic). Hey. Is he even affected by vervain? I can't remember. But I think he should be immune because of his wolf side. Kol and Elijah and Becca are just vamps, that is why vervain works on them. As I said. The only reason they just don't kill Marcel is, that they need a villain in Originals, since JP want's Klaus to be the hero (like it would work as easily as on Dexter).
Hmmm. Good one. Haven't thought of that. And remembering the comments, no one else considered that either. What makes you think that it's a fake? Although Katerina did said, that Hayley was just what they needed to get rid of Klaus. Could have been her idea. She knows of Klaus longing for a family. I just wouldn't want to be near NO when Klaus figures he was tricked. Bloodbath.
I wouldn't mind him having a child. If it could change him. But I have my doubts he could change (experience). Poor kid having Klaus for a father. So in that point I wouldn't mind the pregnancy being a trick.
On the other side, if it were just a trick, why not pushing Klaus to hurry up and kill Marcel before he founds out Hayley isn't pregnant. I mean, Sophie said, that they have to go slow, make it right.
I do not understand JP at all. The idea of Klaus having a baby is not that bad after all and it makes sense that Hayley could carry a child, but we don't even know anything about her. For me it's means that the pregnancy doesn't have the effect on me that it should And I'm a huge Klaroline fan, so... I'm not happy with the idea.
Klaus can't be redeemed. He lived like that for 1000 years. Kill for fun or pleasure, kill everyone that is in your way, and if you can't kill that person, kill her/his family. To get people to do what you want, kill their friends, compel or threaten them. If your siblings disagree, put a dagger thru their hearts for a century or two, if your mother works against you, kill her. That's who Klaus is. Was for 1000 years. You think he can change? I don't.
It was a good start (besides the pregnancy) and I´ll surely watch The Originals. Marcel and Camie seemed like good characters, but really don´t like Hayley, I wish she would stay in Mystic Falls.
I've basically stopped watching Vampire Diaries....I might clean off eps after the season ends but...eh.
I really wanted to see this pilot though and I liked most of it. I had one logic bump and I'll come back to that. I love the actor playing Marcel (and he's hot.) My suspicion that pulling Klaus out of the Vampire Diaries universe would allow them to make the character more three dimensional seems like it's going to be true. The only bump was in how they presented why the witches wouldn't just let Klaus take Marcel out of the picture. I'm guessing it has to do with how Marcel is keeping the witches in check, but it was a little unclear and I think the clarity would have made it a little better. And no whiny teens. I'll check it out. (the pick up announcement came before I got a chance to watch the show.)
Damon told Elena back in Season 1 that vampires couldn't procreate but other than that their bodies work pretty normal as long as they drank enough blood. When they dessicated Klaus at the end of Season 3 they did it by stopping his heart, which means he must have a heartbeat.
I just thought witches would do something like that. They definitely should have some trump cards under their sleeves. Otherwise they will be replacing one evil with another. As it is witches hate regular vampires and any imbalance of nature. Now Klaus is a hybrid and his child could be the biggest imbalance. The first thing witches would try to do would be to eliminate that kid if it exists. I find it hard to believe they would allow such a child to come into this world. I believe their plans are to use Klaus to get rid of Marcel and then eliminate Klaus.
Even I like the idea of Klaus with a child. But it would have been better if he changed a little bit before and the kid becomes the last push to his redemption. As of now I can't picture him as a father figure. He was an horrible brother to Rebekah who stood with him through all his tantrums. He should have loved her like his daughter. I still love Klaus as a character and feel he can be saved. And if his redemption comes because of family and not a woman I would be thrilled. I am tired of seeing good girls saving bad boys. Need a change.
As I said, I have no idea how it works. Either their bodies function normal or not. Either they are dead (or undead) or not. It never made much sense that they were able to eat and drink, use the toilet and have sex, but they were unable to have kids?
I kinda hope that something happens to the baby or to the mother because I think the writers Mess up on the baby thing. Did you hear that it got pick up for the fall? I just hope there a lot more about the vampires controlling the witch than the baby because I don't know if this show going to be a hit.
And here we have to ask again, how Marcel controls the witches. I mean, they are powerful enough to take out the vamps. Example. They wait, till Marcel and his guys start a party (they party all the time, so it shouldn't be a problem), then they start a fire, the vamps burn, problem solved. And the survived vamps can also be taken care of. They give them aneurisms and when they are down, they stake them. I don't understand why they don't fight back. Makes no sense (what a surprise).
"I believe their plans are to use Klaus to get rid of Marcel and then eliminate Klaus." I think you could be right. As you said, they could fake the pregnancy.
Yeah, it would be great if Klaus could change. But as I said many times before, I doubt he can change. The way he is now, he was for 1000 years. He won't be able to break free from his patterns, his lifestyle. You know, killing everyone he meets for no reason.
I hoped too that Klaus can be saved (in S3 when he got closer to Caroline). But I was disappointed so often, I gave up. And I also think that it would ruin Klaus character to make him a good guy. Joseph is a great actor and should be able to play a good Klaus. I just don't think it's in his (Klaus) character to be good.
"Good girls saving bad boys" LOL it happened just once. With Elena and Damon. Twice. Elena and Stefan. Caroline is trying, so we could say it's no.3. And you already have your change. Damon and Stefan are trying to help Elena.
Originals was confirmed? Great. No, I haven't heard yet.
I'm confused about the baby. I still have no idea how it should be possible. On one side I hope Klaus would accept his child and change. On the other side, it would be an impertinence to have Klaus as a father. Poor kid.
"I don't know if this show going to be a hit." Depends on JP. She completely ruined TVD. In the first two seasons the storylines made sense. Even, if it was confusing at the beginning, by midseason or short after, it made sense. The characters and the mythology followed some logic, followed rules. But with the originals she forgot rules and logic. In S3 I had the feeling she's making up things (that make no sense) to keep Klaus on the show. She always found a way to bring him back to MF. The daggers weren't effective (only on Klaus they weren't) and only a stake form a specific tree could kill him. Then killing him would destroy his entire line (that happens to be the MF line). In S4 a cure was introduced, giving him a reason to stay. The entire S3 was about killing Klaus. It was the only storyline and it got boring. S4 was about Silas and I have the feeling Klaus was forced into it (I think that's the reason the cure was introduced), and that the story would work without him.
So … The success of Originals depends on JP. If she's capable to make some logical rules and if she's capable of following them. And if she changes them (like with the pregnancy) she should at least give us an explanation. When on Buffy or Angel the rules were broken or changed, they gave us a reason for it. And it wasn't just JW mood.
They did explained on the show how it could happen. Because he's half werewolf and they can Make baby. That and she a werewolf so maybe that even out some how . my favorite originals is Elijah I just love him. So i hopping he has a big story line then on tvd. For me I think on tvd this season they Drag out the story line on the elena humanity thing. and why would she turn it on again when she lost every family member she loved. i would not want to they need to bring back jeremy just so they can show some reason why elena should come back. I do wish though Elena become human again because Im no really into the vampire Elena anymore. Do you think my the end of the season she will turn her humanity?
Well wasn't the original vampire spell made for being more powerful than werewolves? Perhaps he takes on more of the traits of the more dominate side. In this case he is more vampire than werewolf
Well, I was more thinking of the general "Nature will always balance itself". Every force has an equal posing force. If one doesn't exist, then one will eventually sprout up. It's kind of like some kind of supernatural keeping the balance type deal. Of course I agree it's just her loop holes. Because she doesn't exactly stay consistent.
That's a good point. But then again this all goes back to that discussion we had earlier about "Could taking the heart out or lobbing off the head work?". But they almost have to weaken Klaus and co at this point. I mean the main characters of this story literally consist of people who can kill vampires easily. I'm thinking Marcel is figuring out/has figured out a way to break the tie between an original and it's blood line and he probably has enough witches at his disposal that he can have them kill Klaus after that. At least, that's what I imagine the plot will end up being. Marcel seemed pretty challenging to Klaus before he bit his buddy. And it sounds like Katherine to have set Klaus up on that with false information about witches plotting. She probably slept with Marcel lol. That's probably what she was doing during the time she was away.
Yes, he was born as wolf. And they can have children. But he's also a vampire. I already posted that he's more vampire than wolf. He's immortal, he needs blood and can create new vampires. He was vulnerable against the sun and vervain. Only the white oak stake can kill him. If it has something to do with him being a hybrid, why aren't there more babies? True, Ty is sleeping only with Caroline (vampire). But what about the other hybrids? Klaus killed 12 and before that Damon and Stefan, Rick and Jeremy killed some of them. He had at least 20 or 25 hybrids. Were they all living as celibate monks? I doubt it. Remember 3.1 or 3.2. Elenas birthday party. Ty and Caroline were talking how horny they both are all the time (must be something supernatural).
As I said, I don't have problems with Hayley. Wolves can have kids with other wolves or with humans. My problem is with Klaus and the fact that he's a vampire for 1000 years.
Elijah is my favorite original too. He's smart and the only sane and reasonable one in the family.
True, they kinda dragged it out with Elena. But on Buffy S2 Angel too lost his soul in ep 13 or 14 and got it back at the end of the last ep. I think, it's gonna be the same here too. She'll probably turn it back on at the end of the last ep. And I agree with you. She lost every person she loved, her entire family. Why would she want to turn it back on? I know I wouldn't. And I wouldn't even stay there. I would pack my things and go. Seriously, what's keeping her there? She has no feelings for her friends or her ex lovers, she doesn't want the cure … Why is she staying?
I have no problems with the vamp Elena. Before they went to that damn island, everything was perfect. She accepted her new life, had fun with her new powers, made peace with what happened. She was happy.
As I said, if we go the Buffy way, she'll probably get her humanity back at the end of the last ep. Maybe in the ep before, maybe in the next season. I don't know. But my money is on the last ep.
Yes, the originals were more powerful than other vampires, because of the spell. The sun didn't kill them, the wolf bite didn't kill them, only the white oak could. But still they were unable to have children. Exactly, he is more vamp than wolf.
"Nature will always balance itself. Every force has an equal posing force" I know what you mean and you're absolutely right. But the spirits are part of natures balance and they (probably) wouldn't let it happen. Remember S3 when Becca (it think it was her) remembered how she was turned? What did the witch (an ancestor of Bonnies) said to Ester? Something like the spirits being angry if she would do that spell, cause it's against nature and that they would demand a price. It was something like that. I don't remember the exact words and I'm not in the mood right now to go and check. And the price was, that they depended on blood, couldn't go into the sun or touch vervain and they couldn't have children.
You're right, we're at it again. And as I said, if it would be so easy to kill him by taking his heart or head, why didn't they do so in S3? Remember the huge stake Damon or Stefan used on Elijah in S2? That thing was big enough to smash his entire heart, but he just pulled it out like it was nothing. If they would take his head and bury them separately it could (could) prevent Klaus form coming back, even if it wouldn't kill him. It would be a perfect solution. And I don't think Marcel knows that killing an original kills his entire line. Esther seemed to know. But everyone else was surprised. But you do have a point. A group of witches could (at least try to) break the bond between an original and his bloodline. That's one of the thinks I'm suggesting for quite a while now.
Yeah, Marcel was challenging. As I said, he had too much power for too long and he completely forgot who Klaus is. Marcel is used to being the king. Well, think again. No matter how powerful he think she is, he's just a vampire. Easy to kill. Unlike Klaus.
Katerina could work with the witches. A perfect deal. Katerina gets Klaus out of MF and the witches use Klaus to kill Marcel. And it wouldn't surprise me if she would have slept with Marcel.
Klaus WANTS redemption. He want to be trusted by Carr, Elijah and Rebekah. I also think he somewhat cares about the kid and will grow to love his child and raise him/her together with his siblings. He probably doesn't care a shit about Stefan, Damon and the others, and he won't care for redemption in their eyes. He will only seek for redemption in the people that matters to him. He probably dont care about Hayley either but will not let her be harmed for the sake of the child. And also, the phone call to Carr at the end of the episode. His smile after the episode wasnt a smile of evil. It was a smile of happiness.
Just because he lived as a tyrant in 1000 years doesnt mean he can't change.
True, he could change. But I still doubt he wants to. "Klaus WANTS redemption" Then he should do something to deserve it. Actions count more than words. When Caroline begged him (and she did beg) to let Tyler live, he said he would just give him a fair start before he would hunt him down. And you're right, that he doesn't give a damn about Stefan or Damon or Elena or Bonnie. But they are important to Caroline. He should consider that too. Hurting them means hurting Caroline. But of course he doesn't get that. He wanted to kill Caroline to hurt Tyler. Does that looks to you like he really cares for her? JP doesn't know what she wants. Either Klaus cares for her or not. Right now it looks like we're dealing with two personalities. And when Elijah asked him to let Katerina go, he refused. Jesus Christ, it was over 500 years ago, Klaus, get over it! When did he ever did anything to deserve forgiveness? By giving Caroline pretty dresses and expensive jewels? If he want's forgiveness, or redemption or a new, fresh start he should prove it thru actions (like Damon did), not thru wishes and daydreams. Katerina is a good example. After 500 years he's still not ready to let it go. If he wants a new and better life he should leave his old one behind. But he just can't let go. As long as he doesn’t, he can't start anew.
I know that I, personally, have never been under the illusion of believing one to be better than the other. Klaus and Damon are both control freaks, wanting to shape the people they love (or claim to, at any rate) into the people they want them to be, what they believe to be the best possible versions of those people, when really, what they mean is the 'best possible version of these people for us.' Whenever Rebekeh tries to break away from Klaus to live her own life, every time she's upfront and honest about why she wants to move away from him, oops, dagger in the back or Klaus just tries to pick her apart with his words, insulting and demeaning her because she refuses to fall in line with what he wants. And er, now we have Damon deciding to torture Elena for her own good. And if anyone out there is cheering him on, I want to know what you were doing when he snapped her brother's neck. No, wait, to make it fairer, so you can't accuse me of not taking into account that Damon's emotions were switched on (even though that makes his actions far worse than Elena's, if you're arguing from that point of view) I want to know what you're thoughts were when he was ripping out the throats of civilians back when he was a serial killer Lexi decided to change.
So, in short, lovely. I have to watch Elena get tortured next week, because she committed the grievous crime of not being the Elena both Damon and Stefan want her to be (especially since we all know that if her emotions were switched on when she was hurting people, both brothers would probably be trying to make excuses for her - though they might shame her into changing her mind about some stuff, they might be more accepting of some of her actions).
And urgh...don't get me started on the Marcel vs Klaus thing. You see, throughout history there's this pattern that keeps recurring, where whenever a black man gains power, it's twisted from the narrative perspective to look 'wrong' and then a white man comes in and is portrayed in a way that we're meant to be sympathetic to, so that we feel vindictive and justified as the story unfolds and the black man loses his power. Well, sorry. But I'm not down for that.
Sorry, I have to disagree on the first part. You said that Damon and Klaus are both control freak, shaping people as they want them to be. That's not true. Damon didn't change Elena as he wanted her to be (for that he would have to turn her and bring her away to train her to be like him). HE changed for HER. Klaus always controlled Becca cause she was the only one letting him control her (the only one always coming back to him). She was always too afraid to stand up against him. Not to mention that it was unthinkable for women 1000 or 500 years ago to stand up against their fathers, brothers or husbands. His male siblings didn't let him control them and ended up with a dagger in their hearts. He's using the Lexi method. And I'm not cheering him on. Cause I think it won't work. It maybe worked on Stefan. He turned it off cause he felt guilty. Elena didn't felt guilty. She just couldn't handle the pain anymore, the loss. It was killing her. That' why I think it's a waste of time. Going back to Jeremy neck. Damon snapped. Can't blame him. Blame him just for Jeremy. And we still don't know if he saw the ring or not. Once he said he did, once he said he didn't. No, honey, you have to watch get Elena tortured cause she killed innocents just to make a point and she tried to kill Liz, Caroline, Bonnie and April (you know, her fiends). She's completely out of control. That is why they try to torture some emotions into her. She wasn't hurting anyone when she had her emotions. She killed Connor, but that was self-defense. And Jer killed Kol, which was mostly self-defense. If I forgot something (happens) you're welcome to remind me. I think that Klaus taking Marcels power has nothing to do with Marcel being black. Taking his power has to do with Marcel being a psycho and Klaus wanting his territory. And Marcel being black has something to do with his past. Klaus mentioned that Marcel was a slave before he turned him. And since the great white man discovered black people and Indians he preferred them as slaves. Or maybe they picked a black guy for Marcel on a subconscious level. Although I must say, until you mentioned it, I haven't even noticed he was black.
With Elijah I kinda wish there something going on with Elena. The moment I saw them together. I know it would never happen but still they have lots chemistry.
You'll have to ask JP cause, as I said, I have no idea how it works. As (half)vampire he shouldn't be able to father children, no matter who his partner is.
Ah, who cares! Now we're speculating about how it's possible, and the fans are again dividing into two camps (those who want him to have this child and those who doesn’t want him to be a father), and in September (or whenever) when the show starts, it will show that it was all a trick of the witches and Hayley isn't pregnant.
Yeah, I don´t know either *shrugs* Does not care all that much, to be honest. I hope she is pregnant, just cause it will be drama and angst and... Yeah, I´m weird. Guess we all have to wait until the show starts.
And I think Elena was what Katerina was before she was a vampire. I do think the last time He tall to Elena he got to her a little bit. Wish he would stick around and help Elena out. But I he would not because I don't he care that much to stay.
All three of them will stay till the end of the season (shit, just 3 more eps!), before they leave for Originals. And probably Elena will get her humanity back at the end of the last ep. Who knows, maybe he will be helpful.
I don't think the originals are going to leave for good on tvd. I think it would be like the angel and Buffy switched episodes. Because I think it would be a bad move to just switch them over to there show. In the middle of the tvd story. And I don't think the fans would like that.
Yeah. The fact he is more vamp than wolf may mean vervain works. Wolfsbane would work if nothing else, and I'm sure that's how Marcel got rid of the werewolves there. Or at least it helped. If nothing else, he has that I'm sure. But who knows? JP hasn't really touched on that so it's speculation.
It depends. There are a few ways things could happen that the spirits may allow it. I guess we'll have to see where this baby story goes. I can't imagine they won't have a time skip when they begin a new season. But I dunno...It depends on if they wrap this Silas story this year. It doesn't feel like they will.
Well, While Marcel could easily be killed by Klaus or even Haley if she got in a bite at the full moon when she was turned(I kind of wonder how that works for pregnant werewolves. Then again, child birth would be so easy after all that transforming and breaking your bones and stuff) there is more to power than raw strength. Also, slightly off topic but whatever happened to all the fancy vampire powers from season 1? I mean Damon controlled fog. Silas has shown powers and he was in a tomb for twice as long as Klaus has been alive lol. It would be cool to see those types of powers return.
That's what I'm thinking. It's too bad we have to call her the lesser bitch now. I mean dethroning Marcel is arguably a "good guy" move. But I do like that the good guys do bad things sometimes and vice versa.
Getting rid of the wolves was no problem. They are dangerous to vampires. One night a month. On the other nights and days they are no match to vamps. His guys could have used wolfsbane to expose the wolves and then killed them. No problem. The witches are a problem. I somewhere posted that they could have simply kill the vamps while they party (when they are all at the same place) by burning down the house.
The Spirits could have done it. But usually they are not that forgiving. And they protect the balance. Klaus child brings the natural order even more out of balance. Remember 4.1 when Bonnie tried to use magic to bring Elena back? Or when she tried to bring Jer back in S2 (I think). They were pissed. Except … Maybe this child should bring back the balance by destroying vampires? It will definitely have the power of the wolf (after its first kill). We don't know about the vamp powers, but who knows.
God, I hope they end both the Silas and the Originals story this year. "There is more to power than raw strength" True. But Marcel and his entire army shouldn't be a problem to Klaus and Elijah. Especially, when they can't be killed, while their enemies can be.
Yeah, Damons powers in S1 were cool. Don't know why they stopped. They also planned on introducing other supernatural creatures, but dropped the idea. Did you know that originally Matts mom was a succubus?
yeah, thats the reason he went to NO, not the reason he's staying. He has agreed to help the witches, again, did you even watch the episode?
Damon kills out of recklessness. Lashes out. Impulsive killing. He doesn't even think about the consequences. You seem to forget that Damon was the main antagonist of first half of season 1.
Peeps that our redeemed hero Damon killed troughout the series (not counting Charlotte and Isobel because they wanted it): Darren Malloy and Brooke Fenton (first people to be killed in the series) Samantha gibbons (Pearl's housemaid) Zach Salvatore Samantha Gilbert Logan Fell Vicki Donovan Lexi Bree (Witch, season 1) Jeremy (S2, revived by ring) Alaric (Two times, revived by ring both times) John gilbert (revived by ring) Mason Lockwood Luka martin Jessica (S2 car lady) Maddox Greta Martin William Tanner (fotball coach s1) 12 humans to getting rid of Charlotte sirebond Vickis three stoner friends jared summer and and Tony Will Abby
30 peeps right there + lots of peeps we dont know of. and that during only 163 years as a vampire. Damon was a vicious massmurderer, but he got redeemed because he had someone he was willing to do it for. The only reason he didnt kill Matt (he was just about to) is because Elena interfered.
Klaus has no doubt killed more people then Damon, but thats only because he has lived a lot longer. I can almost bet that Damons killing pace is about the same as Klaus.
Klaus victims: The original 5 hunters Esther Marcel (Not a known fact but most likely because he is Marcels sire) Petrova family (5?) Jules Isobel Elena Jenna Paige Ray Sutton Derek Tyler (as wolf) Nate, Chris and Dean (as wolves) Mindy (as wolf) Tony (as wolf) Mikael Alaric (revived by ring ) 12 hybrids Carol Pizza Deliv girl People for Jeremy to kill at bar
Yes Klaus number is higher but not by far. My point is that Damon could be redeemed. Klaus can too. Klaus gave us all reason to hope for it last episode. Maybe he lets us down, again, but then again, so did Damon, so many times.
Caroline should be grateful? Pease please PLEASE dont put words in my mouth. So unattractive.
I'm with u, except for the last thing. I don't think you should care to much about that it's a black man that's the antagonist. They wanted the right actor to play marcel, and he just happened to be black.
Oh please, are we at it again? Yes, I did watch the ep. Every ep., if you want to know. The question is, if you watched the 2. 3. and 4. season? Yes, I know what Damon did. That he killed in S1 and 2. Without guilt or hesitation sometimes. And I don't need a list of all his victims in the last 150 years. The point is, that he CHANGED!!!! Unlike Klaus. That is the point. I know that Damon killed. He killed for 150 years and I don't defend him. I don't approve or ignore it (like Caroline sometimes seems to ignore what Klaus did). Damon changed. Klaus didn't. He never can. "My point is that Damon could be redeemed" Yes, he could be redeemed cause he wanted to be redeemed. True, he did it for Elena. But it was something he wanted. Really wanted. Buffy 2.4, Giles: "There are two types of monster. The first can be redeemed, or, more importantly, wants to be redeemed. The second is void of humanity. He cannot respond to reason or love." Klaus doesn't want to be. At least I haven't seen one clue that he really wants to change. He likes that he's the bad guy everyone fears. And since you asked me if I watched the last ep. Did you? Then you must have missed the part where he said that he wants everyone to fear him (and worship him. True he didn't say it, but it's obvious from his behavior). Or the part where he said that they should kill Hayley and the baby.
Yeah, Klaus gave us hope that he could be redeemed several times before. And then he goes and kills again. As I said in my comments before (somewhere), actions count more than words or daydreams. He wants to be redeemed? Then he has to prove it. Damon stopped killing in S2. He killed in self-defense. Or to help others. Can you say that for Klaus? I think Carol would disagree. So would Caroline.
"Caroline should be grateful? Pease please PLEASE don't put words in my mouth" I didn't meant you but Klaus. He said to Caroline that he saved her life twice. And he said it like she should be grateful and she said, that he put her life in danger twice.
Damon was downright evil, vicious. He changed but it was a lot of work with it. He kept letting people down when we thought he could be redeemed. Made us losing hope. But he's redeemed now. Well, in a matter o view. Theres still people that think he's manipulative and yadayada. I don't really care.
I'm not saying it will be easy for Klaus to be redeemed. I just say he can be. As I said. He has every reason to go down a good path now, and he him saying "Kill her and the baby"? Why are u even taking that into the equation? He was upset because he hates being powerless. He didn't really want the baby dead. If watching VD has thought us anything, it's that anyone can be redeemed.
I have never realy thought about Klaus redemption before because I used to think about him as a spineless evil coward. He has never really given us any REAL reason to hope until now, imho. The guy has a major thing going against him though and it is what has been his flaw since he was turned into a original vampire. His werewolf gene. With that gene there comes agression and anger. Something that controls him and he needs to get in total control of it instead. as Cammie said "Control ur demons instead of them controlling u"... Klaus demon being his agression. Tyler seems to handle that pretty well though. Maybe Klaus needs a teacher, haha....
True, Damon put a lot of work into his new self. But he did it (unlike Klaus). And even after Elenas friends still hated him, and not even his brother believed in him, he didn't gave up. He failed, disappointed Elena, sometimes lost control and snapped, and yet he never gave up. In the last section you said that with his wolf side comes aggression and anger. True. You forgot that he's also impulsive, but you were right. And you admitted that Tyler managed to control this side. That is a proof to me, that Klaus doesn’t want to be redeemed. If Tyler managed to control himself, and Caroline managed to control her vampire side (in very short time), why is it so hard for Klaus to control himself? If he would really want it, he could learn it. It's a proof that his attempts to change are half-hearted. A part of him may want it. But the bigger (and stronger, more powerful) part of him doesn’t want it. A teacher? More likely a therapist. That is why I appreciate Camie. I hope she'll be his therapist.
"He hates being powerless" True. He want's power more than anything. Power means to him more than his family or love. Another proof that he doesn't want to be redeemed. Or that being redeemed isn't so important than power. When Elijah said that family is power and this baby is a chance to start over, to make up for everything they did to each other, Klaus still said no. I don't believe he cares for the baby. Unless the baby gives him power. And even in that case he'll only care for the power, not for his child.
Yeah It won't be easy because of his history of violence and I like your idea of an therapist but I just can't see that happen. "Oh Klaus, how many ppl did you off today?" "Just a few"....
Klaus will always kill and feed. He shoud feed and kill. Damon will always kill and feed. He should feed and kill. All vampires, except for Elena now what it means to be a vampire. Vampires kill, vampires feed. Some do on blood bags, some on people. But if for example, Klaus could start caring about things that matter, he can be redeemed. He can have both power and redemption and perhaps that's his plan? He doesn't actually deserve redemption, but he wil have it.
This is my last post on the subject. I have one take, u have another. We'll leave it at that. But I know that Julie Plec somewhere said she liked the thought of Klaus getting redemption.
a lot of us couldn't stand the neurotic mess that Elena was and the bitch she was without her emotions. But now, maybe she'll be the caring and loving person that she always been, but with that badass attitude she got from not having emotions. That stuff doesn't just go away... I would like a combination!
""Oh Klaus, how many ppl did you off today?" "Just a few"...." LOL Haha. When they first announced details about Camie I posted something like "You know doc, it's really not my fault that I'm a serial killer. My dad never loved me." I too can't imagine Klaus on a couch. But he could use a therapy. So would Matt. He let Damon break his neck to help Elena. How stupid is he?
"He can have both power and redemption and perhaps that's his plan?" I think that he believes that one excludes the other. He probably believes that to have power means he can't love or care for anybody, cause it would be a weakness and a distraction.
"But I know that Julie Plec somewhere said she liked the thought of Klaus getting redemption." I know that she would love to make him the hero. She already tried and failed. I just think I wouldn't work. I'm afraid it could ruin his character.
One thing that's pissing me off is that there are two vampires that JP insist on being angels. At least with humanity switch on. I want Elena to still have the badass attitude she had from having no emotions in a combo with her caring loving self. I hope we get to see that. And I hope she keeps her haircut. And seriously, has Caroline fed on a human, like since season 2? They are vampires. threat them as such,
LOL Haha. I too hope Elena will keep some of her badass attitude. I liked how she was before the island. But for now, I think, she'll be holding back. She'll feel guilty for what she did. I think it'll take some time before she finds peace again.
Oh, yeah, Caroline was a saint since she killed that guy in S2. I'm glad that she adjusted so good and so fast.
You do have a point. Vamps should accept what they are. But I'm glad that some of them keep their humanity and live on their life. Glad, that they are not forced to hurt or kill humans if they don't want to.
THANK YOU!! TVD is a bore....The Originals is EPIC!! I don't care about the love triangle, it's been done before and now they're dragging it out. There are so many possibilities with The Originals!
I really hope Kol comes back and plays a part in New Orleans as well. The Klaus/Elijah team is refreshing and they are both amazing actors! I really loved Marcel but I also hated him at the same time so that friction between him and Klaus will be interesting to see unfold.
Camille.....she's going to be something....usually a familiar face like that will be more than just a one time person. My money is that she is Marcel's witch.....she certainly seemed to know Klaus's internal struggles.
I think we'll see some of it when she fuels all her energy into kiling Katherine. Wonder what plan she will cook up. She can't beat her on her own and even with the help of the Salvatores it will be though. And not to mention that IF she succeeds, she won't live to see tomorrow because she will have a angry original vamp after her.
Oh, yes, I hope she keeps her worst behavior while she's hunting Katerina. Plan? What plan? She wants to kill her. It's not rocket science. Stake thru her heart, chop her head off, burn her, … She's a normal vampire (how refreshing after all the originals and hybrids). There are plenty of ways to kill her. I guess you meant how she plans to catch her. Good question. Katerina probably won't think that she and Elena could be friends. Elijah probably won't help her either. What about Bonnie? Katerina and Bonnie have a deal now. Bonnie can knock her out when they meet next. Katerina probably (just probably) won't see it coming, and Elena can take over. She wouldn't fall for a trap by Damon or Stefan. She knows they hate her and would be careful. I'm sure Damon and Stefan will help Elena torture Katerina before she kills her. What did Damon said? We have nothing but time? They could keep Katerina for years. But I would still suggest to have a little fun and just kill her. If they waste too much time torturing her, she might get away. Again.
What angry original? Klaus? Or Elijah? Klaus might be a bit angry cause he probably wants to kill Katerina himself. But he won't be that angry. As vampire she's useless to him. It would be different if she would have been human. Elijah might be sad. But again not that angry. Don't forget that she used and manipulated him for centuries. And he just dumped her. So I think none of the brothers will be that angry as to kill Elena or her friends. Just my theory.
Elijah loves her. Even if he dumped her going to NA it couldnt be easy for him to do so. But in the end, he gotta prioritize. His brother needs him more then Katherine do.
Camille is both lol The bartender with the black belt! But she's been in a lot of other movies and shows. So I have a feeling she'll be a main character in The Originals!
In terms of how the body functions, being dead doesn't matter much for vampires. TVD established very early on in the series, when they were explaining how vampirism works, that as long as a vampire maintains an adequate diet of blood their body functions almost as normally as anyone else's.
So, if vampire's can't procreate it's not because they're undead. It's got to be something genetic about vampires that doesn't allow them to conceive. A hybrid's DNA is obviously going to be different than that of a vampire so whatever it was in the vampire genetic code that prevents the ability to procreate is apparently resolved when a vampire is hybridized.
Yea I think the baby story line is too early and it doesn't make any sense that he should be able to have kids after 1000 years. However there weren't any other hybrids until now really and then they were killed so we wouldn't know if any hybrids tried to reproduce with humans.
I don't think Silas will be taking the cure. Julie Plec has hinted that Silas may be around next season so if he's sticking around I doubt he'll be human. My current cure theory is that instead of killing Katherine during their big confrontation at the end of the season, Elena crams the cure down Katherine's throat and turns her human. Of course, this may all be wishful thinking on my part because I don't want any of the TVD regulars to take that cure.
My problem with Klaus is (besides the fact that he's an unstable psycho), that in S3 I indeed hoped he could change. That Caroline could get thru to him and change him, like Elena did with Damon. But I was disappointed so often, that I gave up. Normally I would say, that fatherhood could change a person for the better. In a sense that the person would rethink his life, realize the mistakes he made and finally take responsibility. But it's Klaus we're talking about. The child would not change him. He will never change his life and take responsibility for his actions. The best prove we had today. What was his first reaction to the pregnancy? O.K., the second. The first was "It's not mine". His reaction was "Kill her. Kill them both. Let them die." If a family is what he always wanted this was is chance. Becca and Elijah would kill and die for a chance like Klaus has now. And he doesn't care. And besides, what kind of father would he be? If one of his siblings disagreed with him, he daggered him/her. What if the child is crying all night? When the child is old enough to get his/her own free will and says no? Kill it? Compel it? Isn't it what he always does? Klaus is not fit being a father. I think, Becca and Elijah should take the baby.
I don't think it has something to do with Hayleys family. But it still could be. I don't know. I have no idea how it can be possible. In S1 and 2 we had clear rules so speculating was easy. Now we have no idea what's going on in JPs head. My speculation, or yours is as good as a theory of someone who saw his first ep today. Sophie (I think) said that it had probably something to do with the fact that he's an original, born as wolf. Could be. But Hayley wasn't the first non-vamp he fucked in the last 1000 years, was she?
"All those vamps around" Klaus killed 12 hybrids without sweating. So these vamps wouldn't be a problem. Once Marcel and the vamps closest to him are dead, I think the other vamps will run away.
Capture Klaus? Good luck with that. Last time dark magic was necessary to put him into a coffin.
Like Damon did? He was going to kill Atticus... until Elena stopped him. If he killed Atticus Bonnie would have been out of control. Now he died anyway and Bonnie is out of control as said.
People like Damon and Klaus wants to do good but they get in their own way by their stubborness. Damon turned Elenas offer down about taking the cure together, and that clearly hurt her (Of course, that doesnt matter now because there's only one dose, and Silas has it). Damon fed Elena his blood in S2 because of his own selfish reasons. He was going to kil Matt in first episode of season 4. So I ask you, in which way is he better then Klaus?
Klaus put Carolines life in danger, but then he saved it because he just couldn't kill her. Because she is the only one that sees any good in him except from Elijah and Rebekah. And since he killed tylers mom, he has step by step gotten better.
1. He was going to kill Carr, but finally came to his senses. Killing the one person who you like is not an great idea 2. He wants to kill Tyler. But he wont because of Carr. Everytime he has the chance, he backs down. 3. New Orleans. He came back to a town where he had the best time of his life, where he. Elijah and Bekah got along, where they were happy as a family. Getting back to such a place is refreshing. And Klaus wants to be king but he know he cant accomplish it alone. He need his family.
I wonder about that too. I think Silias will take the cure and Rebecca will want to help Hayley. Perhaps, Hayley may not to raise the baby?? I mean this baby is a hybrid from the original hybrid himself. This baby will be bad ass. I am so hoping that this baby is nothing like the twilight baby.
I thought about that too. We don't know if she was destroyed. But we do know, that she tried to avoid using magic. Remember. She only used it to hurt Damon, and she also talked about it. Perhaps Marcel did punish her, that remains to be seen. Marcel seems to allow the witches to sell pretend magic to the guests and tourists. So that will explain why that witch that Salvatores had a shop.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
So... apparently Haley is pregnant with Klaus' baby. How exactly does than work? I hate this new development btw as a Klaroline fan.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of Klaus, but love Elijah and loved this ep. Since I don't even want to think about Caroline and Klaus together, happy with the baby thing. This does look like it is going to be good.
ReplyDeleteNow I want a spin-off of Castiel and Benny.
I’m so sorry Joseph Morgan, I’m genuinely so sorry.
ReplyDeleteOnly Julie Plec could take a show with so much potential and completely destroy it.
ReplyDeleteI love Elijah even more now.
ReplyDeletelol hayley is pregnant this show is has no originality.
ReplyDeleteI think it's hard to base an entire show or the plot off of one episode. That being said, I really enjoyed it and I LOVE Elijah even more than I thought I possibly could! If this becomes a show and they say yes to this spin-off, I WILL be watching!
ReplyDeleteme too. it's no good judging a show after only one episode.
ReplyDeleteand i think the pregnancy is a really good storyline actually, it has a lot of potential and can go into many directions.
ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong, it's a dumb storyline.
ReplyDeleteThe pregnancy thing was stupid, but I liked the rest. Elijah is amazing and it's a shame how little he's been on TVD since season 2, I'll watch the show mainly because of him
ReplyDeletestop crying about Klaroline.. who the bloody hell cares about that? :D yeah, I know, lot of people (girls), but it was a good twist.. Klaus will be father.. fantastic!
ReplyDeletethe pregnancy thing wasn't stupid....
ReplyDeleteIf that's the direction I would say it's nearly the first time I've seen a show jump the shark before it's even a show. ( Wasn't this SL already used on Angel? )
ReplyDeleteHayley being pregnant was a bit of a twist, and Klaus still thinking about Caroline was nice. I can definitely see it being picked up for next season.
ReplyDeleteyour ship is dead.. never will happen.. stop crying about that
ReplyDeleteYea it was. Firstly the whole thing has been done so many times before. Secondly, why doesn't Klaus have more children, he's been around for a thousand years. Even if they go the route of it's only happening because of breaking the curse, Haley couldn't have been the first person he's been with.
ReplyDeleteactually I think having a baby around will take away from the recklessness and power filled vibe this show is trying to give off. I know that at the base of it it's about family, but turning Klaus into a dad of all things is just a bad move in my opinion. I may like Klaroline, but even if I didn't I would not like this storyline. IT SHOULDN'T EVEN BE POSSIBLE!!
ReplyDeleteCan't hate people just because they have a different opinion.
ReplyDeleteKlaus is a werewolf, magic made him vampire...werewolfs can create a child...
ReplyDeletebut why so many dislike? :D they can't explain that, just dislike, dislike and dislike -.- now that is what I really hate.
ReplyDeletebut the fact still remains, he's a vampire. Vamps can't procreate and how do we know that werewolf's can? Did Tyler's ever active his werewolf side?
ReplyDeleteNO, it wasn't.... maybe the first werewolf girl, after he broke the curse... he wasn't sleep girls with present days.. he was too busy being evil..
ReplyDeleteoops I meant Tyler's dad haha
ReplyDeleteand dislike again.. hello man! can you explain why you disliked it?? no..I expected -.-
ReplyDeleteWhat will happen to the baby during a full moon?
ReplyDeleteWell obviously they can if the writers say they can. The writers never said active werewolves couldn't procreate.
ReplyDeletethat is what the witch, Sophie sad... Klaus is originally a werewolf.. they can.. vampires can't procreate... Caroline isn't pregnant from Tyler, because they slept, yeah, but Care is not a werewolf... but werewolf (like Klaus, a hybrid) + werewolf = unknown child :D
ReplyDeleteturn into.. I don't know :D
ReplyDeleteHe only broke the curse at the end of Season 2. His werewolf side was dormant prior to that. As far as we know he hasn't slept with anyone but Hayley since he broke the hybrid curse.
ReplyDeleteTyler was a werewolf before Klaus turned him. He's only been with Caroline so far (and since she's just a vampire she won't be able to procreate) but maybe if Tyler hooks up with someone who's human or a werewolf he could have children.
ReplyDeletePlus if he had slept with someone who was a vampire they wouldn't get pregnant.
ReplyDeleteAlso, pregnancy doesn't always occur.
I never been a TVD fan, but Im a beastie so while I was waiting for my show, I watched half an hour of the Originals and to be honest I think I would go for that show it looks more mature, love the accent on the Originals vampires :)
ReplyDeleteNot bad. No sign of high school melodrama anywhere in New Orleans. The pregnancy idea doesn't bother me but it wasn't a good idea to start a new series with one. It's just bad timing. The audience doesn't know Hayley well enough yet. Let's get to know all these people before we start knocking them up.
ReplyDeletei don't think hayley will be long for the world of the originals if it is picked up to series even being a werewolf i don't see klaus and family letting her live and have a say in the baby rebekah will most likely kill her
ReplyDeleteCandice Accola has already signed on to do crossovers should The Originals make it to series. So, not completely dead.
ReplyDeletei really liked the episode except for the baby plot. all the power struggle and tension is great and has so much potential! yet that one single storyline might cause me to never watch the series. despite how much i love elijah, klaus, and rebekah.
ReplyDeleteLoved it. Can't wait for the series.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I'd like to mention is American Horror Story's entire first season revolved around pregnancy... I actually have not finished this episode so I can't comment specifically but technically they COULD make Hayley's pregnancy interesting but only if it's really insane and crazy and works into the show's mythology some way...if it's just a Twilight-type thing...UGH.
ReplyDeleteAll in all, I thought this was a fairly strong episode, and a good pilot.
ReplyDeleteThe new characters we're introduced to were engaging and the casting came across really well.
ReplyDeleteYou could be right and they just introduced the concept of the baby to get such a reaction out of everybody to increase the hype about the show so it would definitely be picked up. Well I'm hoping that's why they introduced it.
ReplyDeleteReally I hadn't heard anything. But I'm not too sure that's a good thing cos another triangle would be depressing and way too much like angel.
ReplyDeleteBefore the episode even stared I was not looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteEvery one keeps saying that they hate the pregnancy story line, but I have to say that I liked it. Granted Haley was not my ideal choice cause I wanted her dead after what she did to Tyler. I honestly think that Julie Plec can make this work. We will just have to see how it all goes.
ReplyDeleteTriangle? Hayley was a one-night stand, despite the lingering results. Joseph Morgan made it very clear in an interview that Klaus isn't getting over Caroline anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteYeah but he's going to have a kid with her that creates a connection between the two plus with Caroline not being in the originals I'm sure that he'll get over her soon after all this is tv.
ReplyDeleteI do not think the pregnancy is a mistake at all. it gives Klaus an other reason to stay in new oleand. he gonna use the kid and the mom to accomplish his wish to be THE KING.
ReplyDeleteElijah entrance meuhhhhhhh amazing!!!! I love Klaus but I am in love with Elijah
ReplyDeleteThat's what I want to know. What happens when Hayley turns into a wolf - I guess she's just a pregnant wolf?
ReplyDeleteThey may get to the point where they're friendly - but it was a one-night stand and it sounds like it'll stay that way. Hayley knew how he felt about Caroline before she got into bed with him and it sounded like Hayley was more into Tyler.
ReplyDeleteFinally, someone finally said it. This woman has been ruining the show since the end of season 2!
ReplyDeleteElijah is awesome and Marcell or however he's called is as big an ass as Myers is on Grey's Anatomy :)
ReplyDeleteTVD
ReplyDelete"The one and only. Sort of." She's great. "We're alone. And we hate it" And here I say it again. Whose fault is it? They kill everyone they know, destroy the life of every person they met. And then they wonder why they have no friends, why their family hates them, why they are alone. But I have to
wonder, if she meant what she said to Elijah at the end.
ORIGINALS
ReplyDeleteIt was great!
"The pregnancy thing was stupid, but I liked the rest" Couldn't agree more
ReplyDeleteThought the same.
ReplyDeleteHallo?!? He's a fucking vampire! No matter that he's a hybrid, he's dead for 1000 years! If it
ReplyDeletehas something to do with being born as wolf, all hybrids should be capable of having children!
Couldn't agree more
ReplyDeleteSorry to disappoint you. But having a baby won't change him. He'll still be a psycho. Everyone will still hate him. And Becca was right. The child is better off without Klaus. The whole world is better off without Klaus!
ReplyDelete"Only Julie Plec could take a show with so much potential and completely destroy it." LOL Love you. It's what I'm saying since S3.
ReplyDeletei liked most of it but the pregnancy thing is so stupid and a rip-off
ReplyDeleteI'm saying it since S3 when she repeated the same patterns (killing Klaus) 100 times.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me, but you might be wrong.
ReplyDeleteGood question. But probably nothing. Other weres had kids too.
ReplyDelete"Stop crying about Klaroline. Who the bloody hell cares about that?" Not me, that's for sure :)
ReplyDeleteYes. But the transformation into a vampire killed him. He's dead for 1000 years!!!!
ReplyDeleteHate Klaroline too. The baby makes no sense. Vamps can't have kids.
ReplyDeleteThey hate it, I guess, cause it makes no sense.
ReplyDeleteOh, love, couldn't agree more.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they did the baby storyline on Angel. But there it at least made sense. A higher power let it happen. And what's the excuse here? JP.
ReplyDeleteOh, love, couldn't agree more. Marcel is easy to kill (he's just a normal vamp). He just can't die cause Originals needs a villain (with Klaus she at least made up some real reasons why he can't be killed). And JP wants Klaus to be a hero. ReplyDeletethe originals sucks till i had heard the word PREGNANCY! IT’S AN EMBARASSING STORYLINE!
ReplyDeleteIT’S A SHAME BECAUSE THEY HAVE A HUGE POTENTIAL! BUT WITH THIS HAYLEY’S BABY..IM UGGGHHH! I CANNO T WATCH IT..IM SORRY BECAUSE I LOVE JOSEPH MORGAN..! BUT THAT’S RIDICOLOUS!
ARE U KIDDING ME?
ReplyDeleteI DONT WANT A SHOW ABOUT KLAUS THAT TAKE CARE ABOUT A BABY..OR TRYING TO FEEL SOMETHING FOR HIS CHILD..ITS NOT GREYS ANATOMY..ITS A FUCKIIG SUPERNATURAL SHOW! IM DISAPPOINT BECAUSE THEY RUIN ALL THE POTENTIAL OF THE SHOW!
GOD BLESS YOU! SO TRUE! EVERY WORDS!
ReplyDeleteNot perfect, but very enjoyable and I am definitely in, especially with Rebekah on board, as I just adore her.
ReplyDeleteHis speech to Klaus about being his brother and all was certainly powerful.
ReplyDeleteIt gets a great.I really enjoyed the darker tone and the refreshing lack of teenage drama.
ReplyDeleteThe scenes with Klaus and Elijah were pretty good, which is the most important thing with this show and I hope Rebekah will only add to that.
ReplyDeleteBUT wtf?? what plec did with this idiot pregnancy? its look like Santa-Barbara coming to originals(
i think they need to sort it out, cause there were 2 seasons about klaroline relationships and now its gonna be finished without even start( klaroline fans r very disappointed(,
+10000000
ReplyDeleteKlaus makes people nervous, Elijah makes people crap their pants! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou speak the truth. I am truly terrified for that child's future. No one deserves Klaus for a father. No one.
ReplyDeleteElijah is the ONLY reason I would watch in the first place, he has been my favorite original from the start.
ReplyDeleteYes it has, but I think you can find any story line in another show
ReplyDelete???
ReplyDelete"Their body functions almost as normally as anyone else's" That's another part that makes no sense. They can eat and drink, so they probably use the bathroom (toilet) like all humans. But they can't have kids? And don't forget that they have to die to turn. Even the originals. They died by their fathers sword.
ReplyDelete"So whatever it was in the vampire genetic code that prevents the ability to procreate is apparently resolved when a vampire is hybridized" I thought of that too.
ReplyDeleteI use to be a Stefan/Caroline fan but its only been since season 4 that I can see the potential. But to the core I'm a Klaroline fan but JP has the power and we all know that she screws things up on a regular bases.
ReplyDeleteI just don't want her to screw up Stefan/Caroline's friendship.
I want to see how she ties up lose ends.
Nothing .. the werwolf curse is only triggerd when "it" has killed someone
ReplyDeleteWhat I was wondering is what happens to the baby when the mother turns. If the mother is 8 months pregnant does she turn into a pregnant wolf with a human baby? Surely the baby shouldn't be able to survive that
ReplyDeleteYou raise a very good point, Laura.
ReplyDeleteI hate Hayley SO much.
ReplyDeleteAmen! I love him almost as much as I love Damon. :D
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered about that. ;]
ReplyDeleteYeah baby yeah Julie Plec perfectly spin off!!!amazing!!!i love Klaus's baby)!!i love Camile i love Hayley and Sophie))!!very much
ReplyDeleteI still believe that Klaus will think again) because he wants a family, the child is his only chance and let it sends Caroline far away, she would never give him a family #TVDFamily
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I was bored of this episode when it first started but then it got very very interesting! I love the new baby story-line and can't wait time find out what happens. Loved Elijah in this episode. Bring on the spin-off!
ReplyDeleteYeah I think so too. I think the witches don't want a war on their hands, so they know they need to care planning. Elijah seems so happy to be an UNCLE!! LOL He is probably thinking that this is will be about as close to having a child with his own blood line. I am hoping Rebecca will come around to that way of thinking also.
ReplyDeleteTyler is the only living hybrid.. and Klaus..
ReplyDeleteA series of very cool))) I'm very much looking forward to the continuation of the series "Ancient". Klaus on top, but I want to be with Caroline.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I remember that she only used it to hurt Damon. But if she knew that she would die for it, don't you think she would try to avoid magic? Using a blade or a stake to defend herself? She used her magic like it's naturally. Like she does it every day.
ReplyDeleteYes, they can pretend.
Haven't noticed. But I know he had one.
ReplyDeleteYeah. Now. But he had an army of them. For quite a while. I don't think they lived like celibate monks (or nuns). Do you?
ReplyDeleteAnd you should know that it doesn’t take more than one time.
Oh I hope this get picked up. This show seems more adult, without all of the high school drama in mystic falls.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love how they are setting up Klaus way to redemption.
ReplyDeleteJust heard the The Originals got picked up ....I don't know whether to be sad or very sad...I'm going to miss Klaus and Caroline :(
ReplyDeleteLoved The Originals.
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't they show Davina played by Danielle Campbell?
ReplyDeleteI LOVED THIS EPISODE!!
ReplyDeleteOh if only they would get rid of TVD and make a show called "The Originals" that would be a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteExcept On angel, twilight lol
ReplyDeleteNope.
ReplyDeleteRatings don't exactly translate to quality. Popularity? Sure.... but quality in storytelling is a whole other ball game.
ReplyDeleteWell, I mean there are tons of supernatural creatures.
ReplyDeleteHis child is likely going to have the potential greater than the original vampire.
ReplyDeleteI too barely have someone to talk about my favorite shows. Most of my friends are not into horror or sci-fi.
ReplyDeleteAgree.
ReplyDeleteOriginal werewolves? Never thought of that. But my problem is not with Hayley, it's with Klaus. He's a vampire. O.K., a hybrid. But still more vampire than wolf, as I posted somewhere. Most of his powers and weaknesses are those of a vamp. The only wolf part of him is, that his bite is lethal to vamps and that he could transform if he would want to.
ReplyDeleteAnd those are not natures loopholes, they're JPs loopholes.
Bloodbath.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind him having a child.
ReplyDeleteKlaus can't be redeemed. He lived like that for 1000 years. Kill for fun or pleasure, kill
ReplyDeleteeveryone that is in your way, and if you can't kill that person, kill her/his family.
ReplyDeleteI've basically stopped watching Vampire Diaries....I might clean off eps after the season ends but...eh.
ReplyDeleteI really wanted to see this pilot though and I liked most of it.
The baby may not be a hybrid - it could potentially just be a regular werewolf.
ReplyDeleteDamon told Elena back in Season 1 that vampires couldn't procreate but other than that their bodies work pretty normal as long as they drank enough blood. When they dessicated Klaus at the end of Season 3 they did it by stopping his heart, which means he must have a heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteI just thought witches would do something like that.
ReplyDeleteEven I like the idea of Klaus with a child.
It's nice to see a coherent response among all the shipper nonsense.
ReplyDeleteAlso Twilight and other books/movies before Angel. Joss Whedon didn't invent TV.
ReplyDeleteCandice hasn't signed anything yet. The crossovers will only happen if JP wants to do them and it seems JP wants Caroline with Matt again.
ReplyDeleteAs I said, I have no idea how it works. Either their bodies function normal or not. Either they are dead (or undead) or not. It never made much sense that they were able to eat and drink, use the toilet and have sex, but they were unable to have kids?
ReplyDeleteI kinda hope that something happens to the baby or to the mother because I think the writers Mess up on the baby thing. Did you hear that it got pick up for the fall? I just hope there a lot more about the vampires controlling the witch than the baby because I don't know if this show going to be a hit.
ReplyDeleteAnd here we have to ask again, how Marcel controls the witches.
ReplyDelete"I believe their plans are to use Klaus to get rid of Marcel and then eliminate Klaus." I think you could be right.
ReplyDeleteI'm confused about the baby.
ReplyDeleteWell wasn't the original vampire spell made for being more powerful than werewolves? Perhaps he takes on more of the traits of the more dominate side. In this case he is more vampire than werewolf
ReplyDeleteWell, I was more thinking of the general "Nature will always balance itself".
ReplyDeleteAs I said, I don't have problems with Hayley.
ReplyDelete"Nature will always balance itself.
ReplyDeleteJust because he lived as a tyrant in 1000 years doesnt mean he can't change.
ReplyDeleteI know that I, personally, have never been under the illusion of believing one to be better than the other.
ReplyDeleteSo, in short, lovely.
You said that Damon and Klaus are both
ReplyDeletecontrol freak, shaping people as they want them to be. That's not true. Damon didn't change Elena as he wanted her to be (for that he would have to turn her and bring her away to train her to be like him). HE changed for HER.
Klaus always controlled Becca cause she was the only one letting him control her (the
only one always coming back to him).
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to ask JP cause, as I said, I have no idea how it works. As (half)vampire he shouldn't be able to father children, no matter who his partner is.
ReplyDeleteAh, who cares!
ReplyDeleteI know right? So sick of Elena and that mess. Give me The Originals any day instead of that triangle crap.
ReplyDeleteI know, me too...
ReplyDeleteAnd I think Elena was what Katerina was before she was a vampire. I do think the last time He tall to Elena he got to her a little bit. Wish he would stick around and help Elena out. But I he would not because I don't he care that much to stay.
ReplyDeleteAll three of them will stay till the end of the season (shit, just 3 more eps!), before they leave for Originals. And probably Elena will get her humanity back at the end of the last ep. Who knows, maybe he will be helpful.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the originals are going to leave for good on tvd. I think it would be like the angel and Buffy switched episodes. Because I think it would be a bad move to just switch them over to there show. In the middle of the tvd story. And I don't think the fans would like that.
ReplyDeleteThe switching characters would probably be Klaus, Elijah, Elena/Katerina and Caroline. But my guess isn't any better than yours.
ReplyDeleteThe originals won't be leaving in the middle of the TVD story. Their chapter will be closing after this season. Finally.
ReplyDeleteIt depends.
ReplyDeleteThe Spirits could have done it.
Did you know that originally Matts mom was a succubus?
what I mean is that he gonna use that poor kid, not that the kid will make him change
ReplyDeleteUse it? For what? He has no use for a child. Unless the kid would give him power, which I doubt.
ReplyDeleteBEST. DESCRIPTION. EVER.
ReplyDeleteyeah, thats the reason he went to NO, not the reason he's staying. He has agreed to help the witches, again, did you even watch the episode?
ReplyDeleteDamon kills out of recklessness. Lashes out. Impulsive killing. He doesn't even think about the consequences. You seem to forget that Damon was the main antagonist of first half of season 1.
Peeps that our redeemed hero Damon killed troughout the series (not counting Charlotte and Isobel because they wanted it):
Darren Malloy and Brooke Fenton (first people to be killed in the series)
Samantha gibbons (Pearl's housemaid)
Zach Salvatore
Samantha Gilbert
Logan Fell
Vicki Donovan
Lexi
Bree (Witch, season 1)
Jeremy (S2, revived by ring)
Alaric (Two times, revived by ring both times)
John gilbert (revived by ring)

30 peeps right there + lots of peeps we dont know of. and that during only 163 years as a vampire. Damon was a vicious massmurderer, but he got redeemed because he had someone he was willing to do it for. The only reason he didnt kill Matt (he was just about to) is because Elena interfered.
Klaus has no doubt killed more people then Damon, but thats only because he has lived a lot longer. I can almost bet that Damons killing pace is about the same as Klaus.
Klaus victims:
The original 5 hunters
Esther
Marcel (Not a known fact but most likely because he is Marcels sire)
Petrova family (5?)
Jules
Isobel
Elena
Jenna
Paige
Ray Sutton
Derek
Tyler (as wolf)
Nate, Chris and Dean (as wolves)
Mindy (as wolf)
Tony (as wolf)
Mikael
Alaric (revived by ring )
12 hybrids
Carol
Pizza Deliv girl
People for Jeremy to kill at bar
Yes Klaus number is higher but not by far. My point is that Damon could be redeemed. Klaus can too. Klaus gave us all reason to hope for it last episode. Maybe he lets us down, again, but then again, so did Damon, so many times.
Caroline should be grateful? Pease please PLEASE dont put words in my mouth. So unattractive.
I'm with u, except for the last thing. I don't think you should care to much about that it's a black man that's the antagonist. They wanted the right actor to play marcel, and he just happened to be black.
ReplyDeleteIt's ok but I wish they kinda go back to what it really was .
ReplyDeleteOh please, are we at it again?
ReplyDeleteYeah, Klaus gave us hope that he could be redeemed several times before.
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying it will be easy for Klaus to be redeemed.
ReplyDelete"He hates being powerless" True.
ReplyDeleteKlaus will always kill and feed.
ReplyDeleteI would like a combination!
ReplyDelete"He can have both power and redemption and perhaps that's his plan?" I think that he believes that one excludes the other.
They are vampires. threat them as such,
ReplyDeleteNope, sorry, never liked her. In the books, yes, in the show, no.
ReplyDeleteLOL Haha. I too hope Elena will keep some of her badass attitude. I liked how she was before the island. But for now, I think, she'll be holding back. She'll feel guilty for what she did. I think it'll take some time before she finds peace again.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah, Caroline was a saint since she killed that guy in S2.
ReplyDeleteI really hope Kol comes back and plays a part in New Orleans as well.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, I hope she keeps her worst behavior while she's hunting Katerina. Plan? Again.
ReplyDeleteWhat angry original? Klaus?
Nowadays, yeah, it´s a bore. I they cut out Elena, it would probably be a much better show, but alas...
ReplyDeleteOh, I loved Kol! I love all the originals, but Kol was something else. Smart and snarky and... Yeah.
Camille... Wait a minute, who was she? The bartender, or the girl that had a black belt in karate?
Elijah loves her. Even if he dumped her going to NA it couldnt be easy for him to do so. But in the end, he gotta prioritize. His brother needs him more then Katherine do.
ReplyDeleteCamille is both lol The bartender with the black belt! But she's been in a lot of other movies and shows. So I have a feeling she'll be a main character in The Originals!
ReplyDeleteShe is? Oh, I missed that. Must re watch the episode.
ReplyDeleteIn terms of how the body functions, being dead doesn't matter much for vampires. TVD established very early on in the series, when they were explaining how vampirism works, that as long as a vampire maintains an adequate diet of blood their body functions almost as normally as anyone else's.
ReplyDeleteSo, if vampire's can't procreate it's not because they're undead. It's got to be something genetic about vampires that doesn't allow them to conceive. A hybrid's DNA is obviously going to be different than that of a vampire so whatever it was in the vampire genetic code that prevents the ability to procreate is apparently resolved when a vampire is hybridized.
I am also a Stefan/Caroline fan, they have great chemistry. If she can not be with Tyler then by all means make it Stefan.
ReplyDeleteYea I think the baby story line is too early and it doesn't make any sense that he should be able to have kids after 1000 years. However there weren't any other hybrids until now really and then they were killed so we wouldn't know if any hybrids tried to reproduce with humans.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Silas will be taking the cure.
ReplyDeleteMy problem with Klaus is (besides the fact that he's an unstable psycho), that in S3 I indeed hoped he could change.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it has something to do with Hayleys family.
ReplyDelete"All those vamps around" Klaus killed 12 hybrids without sweating.
ReplyDeletePeople like Damon and Klaus wants to do good but they get in their own way by their stubborness.
Killing the one person who you like is not an great idea
One of the reasons I loved this episode? Very few scenes with Elena. Sorry, as you know, can´t stand her.
ReplyDeleteKlaus and Elijah. Wow. Love their dynamic.
He feels attracted to Elena cause he still loves Katerina. And he loves Katerina cause he loved Tatia.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, they have great chemistry.
What´s with the caps lock? SeNoir has a right to say what he/she thinks, no?
ReplyDeleteMaybe a hybrid needs to sleep with a wolf to be able to spread his seed, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteWait and see? I hate the wait part.
ReplyDeleteI wonder about that too. I think Silias will take the cure and Rebecca will want to help Hayley. Perhaps, Hayley may not to raise the baby?? I mean this baby is a hybrid from the original hybrid himself. This baby will be bad ass. I am so hoping that this baby is nothing like the twilight baby.
ReplyDeleteI am only looking forward to it. I am gonna watch it.
ReplyDeleteI thought about that too.
ReplyDeleteHey She must be doing something, BECAUSE the ratings are there. So your opinion is in the minority.
ReplyDelete
