Okay so now we know blackasked Liv if she still loved him. Several episodes ago, Fitz ask Mellie if she loved him. Jake guy on a bench is head of the CIA's B613 unit. Jake is in B613. Huck was in B613. Charlie B613. Charlie spared Huck's life and let him live. Charlie how works for Cyrus, Cyrus has put a hit out on Liv. Mellie moved into Blair House and took little Teddy. Fitz asked Mellie several episodes ago if she loved him. Jake asked his boss to reassign him and his boss said no and reminded him there's no out. Huck has a real family. I wonder if Liv was a B613 killer spy. I definitely think Cyrus was a killer spy. Huck collected mementos from his kills - watches. And the last time huck saw his family was in Union Train Station at 7:52 am
was an excellent portrayal of a fractured mind narrative. It developed the story in such a compelling way, that wasn't too obvious (though I did guess the army guy and the black guy from Eureka were part of Huck's hit-men spy group.) The time 7:52 reveal was sweet, a small sense of of hope for a such a broken character. I hope that by casting Jasika Nicole as hucks wife that means she will be seen again> perhaps in the present???
I really liked this episode. Though there was too much Huck's flashbacks for my taste. I like him and all but wanted to see other things too. I'm gonna need to watch this epi again anyway. His story was heartbreaking but tought to watch at times. All those characters seems to be connected somehow in Scandaluniverse. Still don't like or trust Jake, He seems to chicken out now. I admit, those feelings he's starting to have for Liv are probably real and would not like to see her hurt but he killed the CIA director and I don't think he cares for anyone's life. Now he knows about Fitz's feelings for Liv and saw how angry he was that something happened to her, so Jake get scared because he slept with President's girlfriend and this can't end good for him. Liv and Fitz was the highlight for me today. They finally talked. They communicate with each other. Yes, it was painfull but so needed. Now they know what hurts the other person. And Liv finally admited that she loves Fitz in his face. You go, girl. And that was all Fitz needed to hear, he won't give up on them now. All hell broke loose now with Mellie threatening to go public with the divorce and Olitz affair. I really hate snitching Hal. He's Secret Service agent for god's sake! The word "secret" is the key. I have no words. So, well, Olitz delivered tonight and I'm here for it. Oh, and finally someone from Olivia's life knows about her relationship with Fitz. Harrison covered for her but I wonder if he's gonna try to talk to her about it. Till next week!
This was a magnificent episode. I could not have predicted that Huck had a family out there and they think he left them when he didn't do it willingly.
It wasn't my favorite episode because Huck is probably my least favorite part/character of the show, I just don't find him compelling or believable enough. And I thought the writing in his backstory was sort of sloppy. But I am biased anyway. It wasn't totally bad and I liked seeing Jasika Nicole again. The rest of the episode though was amazing, especially the Olivia/Fitz and Mellie/Fitz scenes, I adored them!
It was done very badly. There were a few Olivia/Fitz moments that saved it, but all the Huck crap was pathetic. If I watched Scandal for the first time last night I wouldn't want to tune in again. Hope it never goes back there.
Cyrus did put a hit on Olvia after she said she could not let the mole thing go. That's why Charlie was in her apartment and at the hospital. Charlie was there to kill Liv. In the next episode Cyrus ups the ante to protect his "presidency" by telling Mellie he can get rid of Liv. Black guy on a bench told Jake he wants to use Liv as bait to catch Albatross.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Whoa.
ReplyDeleteOne of my things that I have a soft spot for is character portraits. This episode really grabbed me.

Cyrus didn't put a hit on Olivia. He ordered Charlie to found out all about who Jake is !!

ReplyDeleteExcellent episode, great moment for Huck and his sad backstory.
ReplyDeletePlus: I'm happy to see Jasika Nicole (Fringe) again on TV.
