I think Jake does have feelings for her, remember it was Fitz that technically is stalking her. As for the mole, ok is seriously Cyrus the mole since the former CIA guy called him? Or is he working for the mole to protect the rigged election?
I really could love this episode but this Oliva/Jake scene is making my head ache, don't wanna think about it. Even if Jake turns out to be good I don't want him with Liv. Though it was weird that Jake called Fitz to tell him Liv's in the hospital. I thought he was supossed to just observe her with no contact and now Fitz just walks in her room and shake hands with him revealing they know each other. And I don't believe Jake when he said he's trying to protect Liv from this masked guy in her apartment. He could have ordered him to hurt Liv since he knew she should have been home. Right now I have no idea what's going on with this Charlie storyline. Why did he attacked Huck? Did Cy ordered him to do something else than discover who Jake is? Okay, this episode was real roller coaster in quite a good way. But too many questions!
OK so Albatross is mole. Did Albatross have anything to do with Fitz getting shot? What exactly has Albatross done? I'm really asking here cos I'm so confused. I can't even keep this show's plot straight anymore.
Her stalker is Fitz. He's the one who has Jake doing vid surveillance on Liv. Jake was protecting Liv. I think when you grab someone and drag them in a closet, screw them and then upon leaving the closet dump them because it was a penis thing rather than a love thing, you are mighty to abusive. All Fitz has to offer are stolen moments that amount to a big zero.
I don't disagree with your points...but I'm not convince that Fitz is aware of all the cameras. (The bedroom? Really?) And, the fact that Jake was careful not to mention the fact that he'd approached Olivia. Yeah, Fitz is completely abusing his power and I'm not convinced Fitz can be redeemed, but...it's pretty juicy soap stuff.
Fun and Creepy and HUCK! Loved the James and Cy scene. Sober Fitz seems to have remembered that there are other people in the world. But can he be redeemed?
Fitz doesn't care where the cameras are because if he cared he wouldn't be watching her in the first place The most significant thing Fitz said to Jake as his reason for watching her is that she is not a good person. That's rich for someone using someone under his command to watch his ex-"mistress" (Fitz' word) and someone who killed a SCOTUS so his legacy would remain untarnished.
I believe Jake is trying to protect Olivia and I also believe he's falling for her. IJake did not know until he saw Fitz lean over Liv in her bed and hug her that he was the man Liv was talking about in the last episode. In S1, Huck tortured Charlie to find out where he dumped Amanda Tanner's body. We saw some of the scars in Spies Like Us. Charlie is probably pissed at Huck because of all that torturing. Fitz did not kiss Liv in the hospital. He hugged her and she was totally and completely unresponsive because she figured out it was Fitz who had ordered Jake to watch her. I hope Jake and Liv get married and have a couple of babies. Then Fitz can be Liv's side piece.
So...no hope of redeeming the character in your mind. :-) Gotta say though. I am extremely curious how Olivia is going to react to all of this. (And if they weaken that character one iota (i.e. if she forgives Fitz) I will be mightily miffed.)
Excellent episode....I can't believe we have to wait for three more weeks. I'm not sure what to think of Jake or Fitz at this point. Neither of them are looking so great right now! Jake definitely has some explaining to do. Plus I'm a little confused: if the responsibility of "taking care of Olivia", was placed in Jake's hands, wouldn't that make him the person who ordered the hit? So at what point did he change his mind and decide to save her instead? And I'm sure that Fitz must find it suspicious that Jake showed up in time to save Olivia. However, one of my favorite scenes was watching Jake's expression when he finally figured out that Fitz was the other man.
Poor Huck. I know he's an assassin and all, but I wish he'd get a break. First he's waterboarded, then he loses his fauxmily and now this. It's too much, although Quinn was great in this episode. I'm almost certain that David is on his way to becoming a gladiator in a "helmet" (LOL).
I have no idea what Cyrus is up to now. It could be anything with that man...he's definitely not working with Jake though. Three weeks? Really?
Why did liv look so confused in the ending? The first thing that crossed my mind was "OMG Shonda, if liv looses her memory I'm going Rambo on your ass!" hope not
I think between waking up at the hospital, Fitz acting like he hasn't been ignoring for the last 10 months, her finding out that Jake was a creep and what Jake told her it was pretty understandable :P
Yes, you're right, I think I'm just traumatized due to some predictable dramas that recure allways tho the same plot twists everytime they want to strech the story out, I was just terrified shonda could dissapoint. That was my first reaction thou, now I'm pretty sure she won't.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I'm sorry but I equate her having sex with Jake to rape.....that's some sick shit....they had her fuck her stalker.

ReplyDeleteAnother awesome episodes with great scenes for most of the characters. Loved Cy and James scenes.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't think they are going there (SPOILER) based on next week's promo, I think we are good ;)
