OMG OMG OMG! They are killin' me this season. Loved the 'Sliding Doors' ep. Got a little confusing and hard to follow a few times, but overall well done,
A little weird with the real timeline and what Shawn thought would've happened if he hadn't given Jules his coat. I have no doubt they'll reconcile within a few episodes, at the very least by the end of the season, it just sucks to see Jules so hurt. And they definitely had me at the end, I thought they reconciled then but nope, another psych out.
Just an average ep for me. I fear that this season has become more the Shawn and Juliet show and not so much the Shawn and Gus show as it has been for so many years. An interesting ep and presented in a way I didn't expect, but still average for me. Loved lil Lassie though and Gus' battle with the gold dust allergy.
I voted "Great" because for the most part it was awesome, but I have to admit, as much as I dug the switching from what happened to what if? it started bumming me out towards the end.
It was dark. There was a few, what the heck moments, like when Shawn being able to move around while suffering a light concussion. But dang, I really wanted Lassiter to get a dog now. I find this one of the the more serious episodes, even the funny parts seem so sad.
I think that is the point though...Shawn and Gus are best friends...but they are moving on and you can find that painfully clear when he got all up arms about Gus being in his new relationship.
Well executed episode with comedic and dramatic elements. But Jules is hurt not so much of the "lie", but the fact that he didn't acknowledge the "lie" to her. He seemed, although we know based on his imagination in this episode, that he cared more about protecting the "lie" then realizing how much it hurt her. Shawn will have to change that attitude if he wants to win her over again. Yes, I agree, they will reconcile (or else the fans will revolt) but it is a turning point in the relationship. Though, I think we will see more Jules angst in the next couple of episodes.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteIt was a great episode. I loved Lassie with Lassie Jr. Too Cute! Poor Gus and his food allergy.
ReplyDeleteIt happened. The Darkest Timeline just became the real one.
ReplyDeleteGreat episode. I love that Psych constantly tackles different themes and I am a sucker for What If?... scenarios.
